  1. You'll be glad to know he's the head of refereeing in Scotland then.
  2. Due to the fact that the BBC result threw up an absolute scandalous result, there were a few suggestions that P&B compile a poll. I'll post a position up every 24 hours and the winner(s) as at midnight of that day will make the cut. I'll include as many candidates as I possibly can (And I'll put in a few players for a few positions if they've played multiple positions) but with restrictions of 15 I'll not be able to include everyone for every position - I'll do my best to try and not miss anyone obvious though. Apologies to the likes of Sam Ramsbottom, Ross Stewart & Jamie Sneddon who missed the cut here. Also included in this poll is a formation choice for TotY. Some prefer 4-4-2 whilst some prefer 4-3-3 or a 3-5-2 - obviously there are many more variants of formation and you can cast your vote to mould to the formation after this vote (Since a goalkeeper will be in every single formation). ETA: I'll include this in tomorrow's poll.
  3. A fence stretching the length of the Derry was put up to 'prevent surging' after the police threatened to close it. Mind you, that was due to Paul Heffernan. Police haven't liked the ease of access to the pitch for years prior:
  4. I loved that Wrestlemania back in the day. I really bought into the McMahon in every corner nonsense as a kid. Looking back, have to agree, easily one of the weakest PPV's that year. Not sure it's much of a compliment but it's still better than the majority of PPV's we get nowadays. Triangle ladder match is absolutely awesome, Bull Buchanan arguably steals the show in a cold as hell opening match, one of Kane's many classic interactions with Pete Rose, Chris Benoit vs Jericho vs Angle (Whilst the stipulation killed the match somewhat - you can never not enjoy those 3 performing against each other) and the final match whilst nowhere near a classic and ruining Foley's retirement wasn't a terrible spectacle. I also enjoyed the absolute shit show of the timed Hardcore battle thing.
  5. No, you didn't. The above was the post I was replying to. Only after this did you state that. To be honest, considering his ability it's of absolute no surprise that he played at a few bigger clubs than Falkirk after he left.
  6. He played 6 times having just checked. Perfectly good upper tier Championship player.
  7. Don't talk pish - you know when you go down you can still have a few good players in the team, right? He also played 10 or so games the second time we went up and we were never bottom during our that season up under Hartley. And he suffered injuries in our title winning season but played alongside Gavin Rae and their partnership was excellent. Just because he never played well for you, doesn't mean he couldn't elsewhere. In total, his 3 and a half seasons at Dens were a success. We've had plenty of shite players that have been good at other clubs - Mark Kerr & Rory Loy being examples from the top of my head.
  8. Kevin McBride was absolutely integral to us winning the Championship.
  9. Maybe 2-3 seasons ago aye. He looked absolutely rotten against us at Dens - Even in the game you beat us comfortably in.
  10. Still pissed off that I've not replaced his climbing frame. Claimed the dogs bed as a result.
  11. Probably is - but these are the main players in Scotland in 2019/20 (Except Thomson of course).
  12. Luis Boa Morte leading the charge according to The Herald.
  13. Yeah, absolutely. I just naively expected people posting in the P&B Championship forum to take more notice of the league than the average BBC Scottish football browser.
  14. I reckon if people are picking Dorrans, they are doing so purely because he's a big name. I reckon there'll be people doing that with Forrest as well. Obviously, there'll be people noticing that he is clearly deserving of that place and picking him for that reason as well. Agree on Robson. Shocker of a pick. I expect Dorrans to be substantially better next season. He has improved our midfield by quite a bit, but not to the extent you'd expect from a player that has the quality he does and certainly isn't deserving of a place in team of the season. Interestingly, Paul McGowan won our PotY with Jordan McGhee 2nd. Only them 2 and Marshall would have any realistic chance of being in the running for us, but I've certainly no complaints for none of them making the cut. Think the biggest shocker is that people on here and non-Dees at that are slotting Christophe Berra in after playing 6 games for us.
  15. Steven is the only one on the list I can't say I've heard of.
  16. So you're saying the same people that included the likes of Robson & Dorrans in their team had a keen eye on Forrest and included him due to his amazing ability? Mon to f**k eh.
  17. I included him out of instinct before referring to Soccerbase. I'd substitute him for Greg Aitken, but this latest version of P&B doesn't let you edit.
  18. Strange why Ayr fans are getting touchy over this. The point I made had nothing to do with whether or not he deserves to be in the team of the year. It was the fact that the winning vote on the BBC site would have a huge amount voting that pay more attention to name recognition and the fact United won the title so must automatically include.
  19. As you can tell, I'm fairly bored and I'm getting even more bored of discussing the coronavirus so I thought a nice wee hark back to when the football was on and something we all get passionate about. Who's the ref you dread getting hit with and who's the ref you've never heard of so assume is decent? There are 15 category one referees in Scotland (According to Soccerbase) and you get 15 options in a poll so the perfect opportunity to do so. For me, Don Robertson has been the best with Steven McLean being by far the worst.
  20. A team picked by people that venture onto the BBC website and vote on this is likely to pick Forrest regardless of his actual performances was my point. Fairly straightforward point to get tbh.
  21. That's the most selected team I believe. It's basically a game of cram every United player in, Dorrans is a huge name so we'll stick him in, aw wee Forrest, James' brother, throw him in.
  22. I'd love to be a vegetarian as I'm a complete hypocrite who's against animals getting killed, but bacon (And most other meats) are too damn tasty.
