This thread really is ready to go the way of its subject. It should be locked and pinned as an example of change for the better in Scottish football. Like many have said on here, 10 years ago Sevco would still have been in the SPL. Of course the red tops, radio stations and 'official' media would never admit it the power of this site has been shown. Not by any political or subversive leanings, purely by being a great centralisation of information regarding the whole Rangers fiasco. Like many i would have just got my information from the papers and news stations which have been shown up to be slanted and oblivious to the general consensus of scottish football fans. Even each clubs own fansites have certain 'agendas' which would be shot down in here in a second. Long before administration threads about the Whyte takeover and TBTC blog were available. Once administration started further blogs where posted so you could get a wide spectrum of views and 'truths' that where being whitewashed by the mainstream media. The pure volume of interest and strong feeling towards what had been happening over the last decade and further back had a place to blossom as fans from all clubs could gauge others feelings on the matter. Long may the fans actually have a voice again, and it is hilarious watching some of the journos backtracking and will be even funnier in the next couple of years as there predictions of and end of scottish football are proved wrong. Vive la revolution.

I still think this is posturing that has to be gone through for the process of putting Sevco in the third division. Its mucky and it has many headlines for the gutter press, but in reality is this going to end any other way? I could have my head in the sand, but everyone is just covering their own arse and making sure that all options have been given a fair hearing before the inevitable happens. Without this there will always be a feeling of 'hard done by' by the Rangers2012 fans and chances for Green ( his legal team ) to attempt some sort of lawsuit about witch hunts etc.

This is surely all just posturing now and over reaction from the media. These are options that have to be explored and offered regardless of what has been said and stated before. Its a process that has to be adhered to. When the final ruling comes about and sevco are punted down to the third there will be no recourse for the SPL SFL and SFA to answer. By going through all the options they are allowing every chance for the voting members to change their minds, nothing new has come to light and i very much doubt any chairmen have changed their views. With someone as sharp as Green in charge and his legal eagles they can not leave themselves open so everything has to be democratic, documented and fair to all parties including sponsors. The spotlight is on and they have to show that this is a purely open decision so that the likes of SKY see how much the deal means to Scottish football and very much they have been part of the deliberations. What happens in the next few days is unpredictable and is very hard to get the head around but it is a huge point in football history and i expect many twists and turns before the final outcome. It always had to get messy and there is no one to blame as such, we just have to hope things are learned for the future.

This is so bloody confusing. I suppose its not that surprising that the vile hatred and blame continues along Ibrox way. Is it not a bit late for all this? should this not have been happening back in February, March when the wheels came off the Bigot Bus, when there was still a chance the club and fans could have shown some level of humility in unity ? The more Rangers 'family' splits and divides the less is going to be left of the carcass to put in any league. Its all quite funny viewing watching this emplosion, at one point it looked like the club was saved and the SPL clubs were going to fold like a bunch of wet blankets. Once again in true Ranjurs style they have shouted, threatened and stamped their feet like a stroppy teenager and left the rest of Scottish football with no other option but to leave them outside looking in until they calm down and are prepared to obey the rules of the house in which they wish to reside. not long now.

As much as i think we are still all about to get shafted and Rangers2012 will walk back into the SPL, it would be funny as hell if there was a no vote. And funnier still considering the hatred from Rangers fans to the SPL clubs if the SFL told them to piss off too. it wont happen but we can but dream.

that is a little harsh, there are of course just supporters of Rangers who have been brought up to support the like anyone else has been brought up to support their local club. When you are wee and are taken to games you build your affinity without understanding the other things going on. By the time you do understand you are a fan and it would be difficult to back away. There is a distinction between real Rangers football fans, political rangers fans and the glory hunters. The real Rangers fans i think everyone feels very sorry for, the rest can take a flying leap. Its just unfortunate the former group tend not to shout quite as loud as the idiots of the latter two.
