1. You may not need your passport, but you will still need your inoculations, remember you still have to go through the Cowdengelly Metropolis to get to us!!!And anyway do you not have the "Shippy" in the Fife Cup this year???You may get to relive those memories yet!!!

Guess geography wasn't your strong point.

  2. So they should just throw the doors open? That would make them less than effective administrators.

Also the administrators have dropped the prices, yet they need the money badly. I don't think many fans would have grumbled paying regular prices. Perhaps the administrators are fearing the worse? That is utter speculation mind.

Dropping the prices makes sense. There will be many more "neutrals" go to the game. Even Dunfermline fans who would be thinking twice will be encouraged to turn up.

  3. But, if you do go down, your crowd over a season will drop more than 12k - you will lose all your derbys and high away supports, plus your home support will most likely drop. So being in 2nd will not benefit you any more financially.

This possibility does stick inmy craw a bit. Nothing against the Pars or their fans at all, but I think Dunfermline (and any team that enters admin and has to do a CVA) should be demoted automatically (ETA: at end of season) - the fact they have been deducted a number of points which gives them the guarantee of not finishing 10th (no way are Airdie going to not finish 10th), it gives them 2 scenarios - the chance to stay in the division (and thus, no real punishment), or the chance to get extra income in potentially 4 playoff games (gates split i think?), and either stay in 1st division (thus, no real punishment AND a hefty financial bonus) or get relegated (but with a financial bonus.)

Not really fair on all the other teams in 1st division and 2nd division who have either lived within their means, cut costs accordingly, or limited their debt to much lower levels than that of Dunfermline. As i say, nothing against the Pars directly, just feel not only have they got off way too lightly, but are getting unfair helping hand against every other club who has lived within their means, and are being given every opportunity to carry on as they were in same league next season, and that just does not sit right with me.

The 15 point deduction does not fit the crime imo.

Too many pals involved in making the decision. Leishman and MacDoog although not directly involved (supposedly) must surely have had some influence as these folk are all "pals" It all stinks.

  4. Did I imagine this or has Leishman asked Pars supporters to hand over savings and holiday money to keep the club afloat?

Read this in "The Courier" yesterday. Thought it was a misquote at the time. Surely it has to be.

Is there any guarantee that any of the monies raised won't end up in Masterton's pocket?

Well done to all those who have donated money, I hope it isn't wasted.

  5. I couldnt see us surviving 25pt. But then again thats not a prority.

As for players thats gonna get binned, Andy Kirk is supposedly on £1700 a week. I would imagine Gallacher, Husband, Barrowman, McMillan (possibly Morris) are the big earners in the sqaud. Have no idea what position Jim Jeffries will be in if he stays, But then again I have it on good authority that Masterton's c**t daughters are the biggest finicial drain on the wage bill.

If this is true and players are on £1700/week then it is no wonder that they are in a mess. Even half that it is good money for mediocre players.

How many other clubs in this league could afford that?

  6. Aye best of luck on the eve of destruction, my football life will never be the same again, the challenge of Cowdenbeath and east fife will never match the tingling sensation experienced during the big fife derby, lets hope things turn out for the best, death as a rich crooks plaything is not what the lifeblood support deserve, I'm totally gutted for you all , my memories span decades over the years we have had many memorable battles too many to mention, as an apprentice at Marconi during the seventies I work with many pars fans and players. Lets hope a miracle happens....mon the big team.

Agree 100%. Beating the Rovers or East Fife will never replace beating the Townies. Ask any Cowden fan who was at CP for the 4-2 game.

Such a shame that once again it's the fans who get shafted.

  7. All the diddy fife teams getting on there high horses, cuties.
Fwiw Raith couldn't afford the tean the year Dunfermline won the title, any attempt by Raith fans to feel superior over the budgets that year are laughable.
Meanwhile hows the stadium issue looking in Cowdenbeath?
Fife, the kingdom of financial fuckdom.

Pathetic. Many Cowden fans sympathise with Dunfermline, wonder why. You lot will be lucky if you can even play fitba next season. Credit to the Pars today. Takes some bottle not to try, even a wee bit.

  8. If that statement from JJ done anything to us Pars fans, it made us heartbroken. It's terrible reading. I urge every and any Pars fan who can afford, and make, it on Saturday to get along to EEP - each and every one of these players and non-playing staff deserve to be supported and respected and showing this on Saturday by attenidng will probably mean a lot to them, as well as giving them the best possible chance of getting more wages next week. Also, when you turn up, if you turn up, remember to protest against the current BoD.

    COYP!! :(

Instead of players going on strike etc, why don't the fans boycott or even threaten to boycott a game. That should bring this to a head quick enough .
