Smith would offer more in terms of pressing and generally making a nuisance of himself up front which is the sort of role I saw McManus would have filled if he’d hung around. This worked before in the Moffat/El Bak partnership and creates the holes that El Bak can exploit. I’d see Hippo being interchangeable with Smith and Ryan being a sub for Faissal.
