Nah, I fancy Sons to finish 8th. Got enough about you's to stay up. Rock solid at the back and think you'll manage to score enough against the lower 4 clubs to get some wins

Fair enough, we've beaten Clyde (twice) and E Fife (once) but not Forfar or Peterhead.  I suppose six points would do it.

But I can't see six points.

    Goal. "Look at the shadow".

That's a different angle. The shadow is clearly being cast from a source in front of the goal therefore making the previous photo even more conclusive in that respect.

In any case, here the ball itself doesn't look completely over the line. The earlier video is more conclusive that it did.. There's no way the linesman could award it anyway given the Thistle subs etc standing in his way.

    Not that it mattters now.

See this is what pisses me off about this thread. You can't mention a perfectly valid concern by some clubs about potential new entrants without being accused of being anti pyramid.

It's nothing to do with mistrust of change or getting home in time for your tea. It's concern over the implications of a possible midweek game 2/3 hours travelling time away, nothing more nothing less.

As I said, with a bit of imagination that scenario might not even be an issue anyway.

It's all pure speculation (or now maybe not) but it's something that any responsible club official would have to consider, one of them being a VERY vocal supporter of the pyramid btw.

If he's such a supporter of the pyramid then he shouldn't object to teams fulfillling the entry criteria for a pyramid league being admitted to that league. Short travelling distance is not one of those criteria.

Given the angle caused by the camera, that looks in to me. Not by much, but in.

Given the angle caused by the camera it looks as if not all of the  ball has crossed the line. The  bit that hit the ground , yes, but not the whole ball.

You kind of did, you said that 1 mistake could be what relegates us, if that's not solely blaming him for the situation then I don't know what is. He made a mistake, as do all players, he's redeemed himself in subsequent games. 1 mistake won't be what relegates us, regardless of who it was against. The fact we've been utter Shite over the shortened season will relegate us.

I said he hadn't made up for the error and that the four point swing could relegate us.  Yes the manager's decisions and  the rest of the team are responsible for where we are. But that mistake was crucial in terms of the relative positions of the two teams on the day (and probably for the confidence of both sides going in to the games immediately after.)

Spot on. This is Duffys doing, not Ramsbottom or anyone else's. Sam has played 3? League games for us, he can't be held responsible for our situation, that theory is laughable.

I wasn't saying he was solely responsible. Only that his error caused a four point swing.

And he hasn't made up for it yet, though arguably he regained us one of those points against Falkirk.

In that context, however, the game vs Aberdeen is irrelevant.

If we get relegated it won't be because of that mistake. It will be because we haven't been good enough over the course of 18/22 games to stay up.

Of course. But that was the most important game for us  in the whole restart. We desperately needed not to lose it.

How much encouragement did Forfar derive from their three points against us?

And if it hadn't been for that mistake we would be above Clyde on goal difference.

Mind you we can't score.  Will five nil-nils do us?

Ramsbottom has more than made up for his error and nerves in his first match for us. He was good today and he's got some kick on him. With a little and large combo (nish/kane or lister/prunty) up top it could be a great weapon.

No he hasn't. That four point swing could be what relegates us.

The statement about R****ottom was clearly beyond controversial and totally unreasonable (no offence) pre-match... I’m guessing every Morton supporter on here was telling you in advance not just that he ‘wasn’t very good’, but that he’s so bad he should be nowhere near professional football. If you think his kicking is bad, wait till you get a load of his weird habit of turning away from the ball just as he’s about to ‘catch’ it.

I’ve got a lot of time for Duffy, for all sorts of reasons, but that signing alone is a sacking offence, clear evidence he’s lost the plot.

If he plays for the remainder of the season, you’ll go down.

Given yesterday's performance we'll go down even if he doesn't.

Top of the agenda should be opening up relegation from the LL to two automatic clubs dropping to tier 6. The WoS champion should be promoted every season.

That's ambiguous. Did you mean they ought to be promoted as a matter of course (ie without reference to playing ability) or that they will be because they're better on the pitch?

Anyway, surely in the case of two LL relegations, both the WoS and EoS champions ought to gain promotion each season since the SoS may not have a licenced winner or else its champion will likely be the weakest team of the three in the play-offs?
