  1. Having just watched Justified inbetween the first series of the Mandolarian and now I hadnt realised it was Timothy Oliphant that played the Sheriff and the quickdraw thing was exactly the same in each! Agreed though Boba Fett has been much better without him!
  2. Pretty much as expected, assume Johnson / Redpath was a close call, would rather have Cummings over Gilchrist and no Kinghorn, but the starting 15 are all experienced, and have played together quite a lot so happy with that.
  3. Some interesting calls, Taylor and Southwell both seemed to tear it up in the English premership, yet Taylor only had the odd great game for Scotland and Southwell seemed pretty horrendous everytime I've seen him (although not picking Kinghorn at 15 seems an oversight) The one pick I have issue is is Evans, he was a fantastic player, but like anyone else they stuck on the wing at that time, if you dont get any ball, or when you do its hospital passes there isn't much you can do. If you swapped Darcy Graham or big Duhan into the Scotland team of that era instead of Evans and they would be equally disappointing. With the likes of Henderson and Morrison at Centre no one is going to look good on the wing
  4. I didn't recognise him at all to begin with, he's hugely built up since I saw him last season
  5. Largely I agree. But we won three last year, including at Twickenham and the stade and still finished fourth. What we need to be better at is securing bonus points when we win. That'll make a real difference to our finishing position. We only took bonus points for scoring 4 tries against Italy. Wales managed it 3 times. We did pick up a losing bonus point in both matches we lost however. The bonus points make it dificult, for example a team could lose all their games but pick up 10 bp's and finish theoritcially above teams winning 2 games but not getting any bp's - granted they are higher in the table, but would you say they are more successful? Not that I dont agree, just as you say its never easy to gauge based on the final table
  6. and only the window for transfers closes, if someone is out of contract then we can sign them whenever
  7. Disagree, thats not a successful six nations, we need to be aiming higher than that. A win in Cardiff or Dublin coupled with above will give us a good chance, which we can deem successful. I wouldn't imagine any other team, bar Italy, would see that scenario you outlined as successful? Winning 3 out of 5 should be seen as an average season, winning 4 or 5 a successful season, 2 or less a poor season
  8. Im not sure he would have came up training all week if he was out of our price range (you would assume this would have been discussed before coming up). A short term deal till the summer may suit him and the club
  9. I was hoping we would sign the lad Comley so we had 3 actual centre mids in our 4-3-3, which would then give us options out wide
  10. I would assume Maitland will be the sub winger/full back as cant see him starting and gives a bit more flexiblity than McLean
  11. There are quite a few like that that were on TV nearly every week for a while, but havent been seen for ages (I dont watch dark or dark elevation so they may be on there). I would think the Dark Order guys are pretty safe this time around for obvious reasons, but a few probably will be gone in the next round of cuts. There are quite a few that I liked the Butcher and the Blade, etc that were getting decent air time, that seem to have been lost in the shuffle of the new signings.
  12. Anyone watching the Peacemaker yet? Havent watched any myself yet (as not on Netflix or Amazon) but noticed it was already up to episode 4 without any comments on here
  13. Pretty sure we drop into the Challenge Cup now
  14. White's a strange one, i dont recall having seen him play (probably have but wouldnt have been looking out for him), but England u20 captain, played in non cap v Barbarians for the full team, he's still fairly young so suprised he's jumped ship, looks a good option, and with Horne, Dobbie and Steele all missing out (SHC and Pyrgos also further down the pecking order) we have plenty of cover. Not sure how much of a risk it is have 2 uncapped SH's behind price though. Rowe is out of the blue as well, he's seemingly been on hte books of Glasgow and Edinburgh as well as in the 7's but dont recall having ever seen him play. The pack is pretty much as expected. I would maybe have included Cherry or Brown as a 4th hooker as this / line out is our biggest weakness so having a bigger pool in training would help. HAVING KINGHORN ANYWHERE NEAR A SQUAD ASTOUNDS ME Having Hastings miss out is a shock, and would have thought Thompson would have been included for the experience. Anything happens to Russell and we are in trouble. We only have Jonhson and Redpath as inside centre's, (and 1 is a fitness worry) yet 4 outside in Harris, Bennett, Hutchinson, Tuipoltue, plus Steyn can cover seems strange, yes some can cover but surely having an another actual inside centre would be beneficial. We now seem to have a core of 20-25 players that will make all the squads, and another 25-30 players that are there or there abouts that interchange for the last 10-15 places that is good to see. When you have guys missing out that would have been starters 10 or 15 years ago it shows how far we have come.
  15. Cheers, can't see Clermont-Ferrand winning at Ulster, so win should be enough. 9-11 drop into the Challenge cup so barring some freak results we have another game at least
  16. top 8 are through, so a win guarantee's last 16 (unless Montpellier win with a bonus and Clermont and Sale win), or getting a better result than Montpellier, Bath, Ospreys and Northampton should do also be enough as we are 8th already
  17. Ep3 on paper sounded amazing, a quadraphenia esque scooter gang (one resplendent in suit and thin tie), a new rancor, Danny Trejo, a fight with the giant wookie, and all let down by worst chase ever
  18. Watched it over the weekend as well, and wasn't overly impressed (although watching it at home was a nightmare with the wife and kids talking over the top of it). I dont think the number of characters is the issue or the script, its down to bad acting, or poor casting as there was no chemistry between the characters - aside from the scenes with Kit Herrington. I think it would have worked better as a 12 episode TV series rather than movie
  19. Are Cody and Brandy not part of the set up / executives at AEW? They wouldnt be stupid enough (you would have thought) to put the TNT title back on him if there was any chance he was going to walk. I did think his previous run as TNT champ was slightly strange, it seemed like it was split of from the rest of AEW (kinda like the FTW belt stuff), like cody and his group were over in hte corner doing one thing (although it did get us Eddie Kingston), with the rest of AEW working away on something else. SInce he dropped it the belt has felt much more part of the same show
  20. Did we not have to pay a fee to Rangers for Houston, so that rather than extend his loan for 6 months then sign him for free we could sign him on an 18month deal?
  21. You see a lot of criticism for him, but without his 7 goals we'd be struggling even more in the league than we are. Im just hoping we keep him long enough that he gets to play in a team with a bit of attacking threat. He should get well into double figures this year with 16 games left.
  22. Having been a huge fan of the Netflix marvel shows (Iron Fist & Defenders aside) its good to have seen them starting to make their way over to the Disney / MCU, be interesting to see if they use anymore going forward.
  23. It looks like the Cardiff backs haven't heard of tackling, Bennett and Lang are ripping them to shreds
  24. Dempsey missing for tomorrow, but its a first outing for the big Tongan Fifita and Brown returns from injury. Glasgow Warriors (v Ospreys at Scotstoun Stadium, Saturday 5.15pm): J McKay; K Steyn, S Tuipulotu, S Johnson, C Forbes; R Thompson, A Price©; J Bhatti, G Turner, Z Fagerson, S Cummings, K McDonald, R Wilson, , R Darge, M Fagerson. Replacements: F Brown, O Kebble, E Pieretto, L Bean,, T Gordon, J Dobie, D Weir, W Fifita. And Edinburgh Edinburgh (v Cardiff at the DAM Health Stadium, Saturday 3pm): H Immelman; E Boffelli, M Bennett, J Lang, R Moyano; B Kinghorn, B Vellacott; P Schoeman, S McInally, W Nel, J Hodgson, G Gilchrist (captain), J Ritchie, H Watson, M Bradbury. Substitutes: D Cherry, B Venter, L de Bruin, G Young, N Haining, C Shiel, J van der Walt, C Dean.
  25. I know we probably need 6-8 to be challenging for promotion but to be fair that boats sailed and the best we can hope for is finishing 6-8. Obviously if the opportunity is there to get someone in for the next couple of years then great, but if we are lining up like this after Jan we should be more than capable of staying up Adams, New RB, New CH x 2 Reading Bradley Murdoch New CM O'Connor Moffat Adeloye Subs, Albinson, Ecrepont, Baird/Fjortoft, New CM, New winger, New CF plus however is left. Anyone not listed I wouldnt miss Im assuming that Muirhead is away, otherwise he would start and Maxwell, who would be equal with O'connor on who starts so dependant on form. Im thinking if we lose Muirhead, then 2 new CH's and 1 CM as definite solid actual signings, get those right and we will be clear of relegation. then the new players on the bench I would be happy with loans to see us through to end of season.
