Down at Starks this morning for the laddies football class. Noticed a few things round the ground. No idea what the timber beams are for, additional advertisment space? Manager now has a comfy seat as well by looks of it.

Partly a new advertising space but possibly to block access to the pitch when the young team make their way around to their new area.

Yeah McEwan is 100% away and I suspect there’s been no announcement as I think he was a contractor anyway.

From what I’ve heard he’s been “working” at the clubs since way before the takeover was announced and there was very little to show for those months for which he was taking a wage out of the club. He apparently took the huff after he realised he wasn’t going to be CEO.

I heard as well, from somebody who’s sponsored the club before, and have a business in Kirkcaldy, that he seemed to express no real interest in them, despite being a long term supporter and being keen to be involved, and just kept going on about his time/connections from Hibs. A complete charlatan.

They stuff about there being a North Stand sponsor being in place is also a complete fabrication.

In all honestly his departure sounds to me like a bullet dodged.

These words doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Guess you're on one side of the story already

That's what most of us thought with O'Riordan.

I'm happy with the signing of KW, I have no issues with defenders who lack pace as long as it's not all or even most of them. Berra strolled it in his season under the Bald one, he clearly wasn't so comfortable playing a very  high line under IM, my only worry would be a serving up of more of the same. Experienced defenders tend to be older and slower, IM needs to understand the trade off.

No, we all knew he was playing. There was no choice.

Has anyone had a chance to have a read of this yet? I just saw a link shared, by the club on Facebook - RRFC-Commercial-Brochure-2324.pdf?fbclid

Really great to see something like this put together. I’ve no idea how our prices compare with other clubs, but it all looks pretty clear and professional. However, I’m really surprised we’re going down the route of charging of charging for mascots. Some of the top Premier league clubs in England do this for free.

The club are totally right to try and maximise all possible commercial revenues but this feels very opposed to the spirit of offering under 12s free tickets, to boost the fan base. A voluntary donation to the community foundation would have been a better option in my opinion.

Also, I noticed the season tickets current total was listed as 1447. I guess that includes the free under 12s??

The mascot package does include 2 x adult tickets for the match to be fair.

While it's nice that Sim is offering dinner technical expertise, it's a huge difference to not have someone who "shoots from the hip" in the press. I think it can be summed up that before we had a club which was a sum of it's parts, whereas now it now feels like we're working off the pitch as a cohesive unit.

Thanks to Sim's due diligence, no?

I don't understand the smith signing. we have a host of players who can play in the positions this lad can play, and im not sure hes better than any of the ones we have at the club.

Only way it makes sence is if we're set to lose one or two.

He's got pace, and we've already established that was a major miss last few seasons.

The issue with safe standing at the old railway stand is it would have to be droppedin height  at ground level or sit further back from the existing stand. A standing area without this would stop fans in the seats from seeing thier nearside of the pitch.

I'm sure it's no problem. The thing that impresses me with the new board is that they see solutions pretty damn quickly.

As of 8th July last year it was 1210. Nothing I can see after that confirming exactly how many but maybe someone has mentioned it at one of the meetings ?

I’m more interested to know how many of the 500 are under 12s. More season tickets doesn’t always mean more money

It says 500 sold, so considering under 12 tickets are free with a paying adult ticket i'm guessing none are included in the total. Might be wrong though

I dunno, I reckon as games they're also the biggest draw for floating home fans. At £24 they might be less attractive.

In general football pricing is getting ridiculous.

    Agreed

Not a fan of fleecing away fans but if it subsidises our free-for-under12's offer, then it's not so bad.

Remember, away fans get to bring their kids for reduced, or free, prices too.

Jack Hamilton is a superb signing and a three year deal means it’s likely they’ll be able to make some money off him either next year or the year after. That’s an example of smart business.

Josh Mullin is less clever. I can understand the thinking of a two year deal. Gives you a bit of security for next year and by the end of his contract he might be ready to move down a level. Three years is a big commitment on presumably a decent wage. I’m not rewriting history as I’ll happily admit that he was a big player for us last season. He drifted in and out of some games but like Chalmers had the ability to win us games with one or two moments of quality. I’m quite content if we’re looking at a bit of a rebuild as I think it’s all gone a bit stale and we need some quality all over the park. I’m excited to see what we can get done over the next couple of weeks.

Maybe we offered him a lesser basic wage than he was used to, but on a longer contract?
