Raith Rovers squad issues steer me in this direction. My opinion on management won’t change unless followed up with a win at home to St Mirren.
Defeat today and it’s all over for Hammell unfortunately.

We don't really have squad issues for this game, other than wee Lewis Vaughan being out with a hamstring strain and Akio being cup-tied. Jamie Gullan should be back up top with Sam Stanton playing just behind.

I see the big striker has been punted. He looked like a pub player in the times Iv seen him play. Was he always that bad??

Yes. People moaned that he never got a chance but he started up in Gayfield last time and looked horrific. Never got much better.

We definitely needed a runner up top and we've got that now.

Big John was the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time

I, like many others, work midweek, no time off during the times they are open to go down. I tried to phone multiple times, starting before 10am, did not get through at all, sold out at 10:20 or so. There has to be a better way around this. Especially with it being first come first served. I understand the whole limited tickets shite but it’s a joke when you say to fans phone or office only to purchase then can’t get through on the phone and open your office only midweek hours.

    Sounds like a you problem

I don't think Stanton has a 'natural' position in the current system we're using. Not from the start. He's obviously not taking Brown's place and you don't really want him out wide, so he either replaces Spencer or Vaughan. He's not as good a 6 as Spencer is, and not a good a 10 as Vaughan. He's perfect to come off the bench, though, because he can come in for Spencer (or Brown) if you're chasing the game and need more drive, or he can come on for Vaughan and give you a bit more dig in the middle if you're holding on.

That's not to say he shouldn't be starting, I think he's comfortably in our best eleven players, but you'd need to find a different setup to not be crowbarring him in a little currently.

I'd start Sam ahead of LV. It's almost blasphemy to say but Vaughan hasn't looked sharp enough since he came back so I'd have him as an impact sub instead of Stanton. It's no coincedence Stanton's effectiveness has dropped since the wee man came back into team.

I adore LV but he's not warranting a start at the moment.

A very weird interview all things considered. We are looking to move players on, unless we can keep them. We need investment because we don’t have enough money, but we are not far away from breaking even. We’ve spent a load on lights and a pitch but there is significant stadium maintenance required, but the maintenance is just tidying up and other bits and pieces. Sounds like a really fucking bad interview to be honest.

    Edited to add: again

Edited to add again: Ending the interview with a plea for people with money to phone the club and give us it is one of the most tinpot things I’ve seen. Our communications are.. not good.

    My thoughts too. Embarrassing stuff

I'm not paying for the courier, what's the bones if this? Is there anything substantial or is it a "I would sell if the right offer came along" type thing.

It's exactly that. Nothing we didn't know. A lot of people obviously can't view the article but have decided the baw's burst on 1 headline.

The guy's an old man, this was always on the cards

  7. All fair points CountryBumpkin apart from DG - no need for any more comments from anyone at club. It won't serve any purpose apart from the sound of old ground being raked.

As long as the stadium is in good hands I really don't care for updates around it - I use it for a couple of hours every 2 weeks and that's it. I appreciate others need for info re its' care though. We have plans from the previous proposal of the building behind the North stand that can be viewed, not a massive leap of the imagination to add extra level to it. Stadium repair articles frequently added during close season are they not?

Our youth plans are of interest to me. That'll need to be cleared up at some point.

Appreciate that I'm definitely old school regarding my lack of need for constant information. Not just from the club I support either.
