I don't disagree with anything you are saying ultimately, maybe this is just where the squad/club is at? Maybe we are League 1 level as a club right now? Personally I think the club should heavily focus on keeping a strong connection with Boro, do anything to have players sent to Palmerston every season on loan. Given the financial circumstances it would be a win for the club, we get a quality talent that can more than match Championship level, while not breaking the budget. There needs to be change on levels at the club, from the BOD to the manager. But as you say, it comes down to budget.

Squad just isn't good enough in my opinion. When we are signing players from National/Conference leagues at young ages expecting them to compete consistently in the Championship we have no hope. We signed a 21yo striker out of the National Leagues at the start of the season to lead the line for us. Crazy stuff.

Didn't watch the game but from reports great performance across the board. That's all supporters ask for, desire and having a crack for the full 90 minutes. There is no doubt this squad can beat anyone on any given day.

Brilliant result against Adelaide last night. Great to see Margiotta get off the mark.

Sad to read about the SLO, they have done some good work over the time. A lot of disconnect currently between the club and supporters.

Jets keeper had a shocker last night.

Connelly is our best player, was scoring goals for us and brilliant in a more central role. Having him out wide is a total waste.

Nouble was a absolute handful last time for our defence. Don't think AJ will, but we need to worry about ourselves and not so much the opposition. We have enough quality in the squad to play good passing football going at defences keeping them on the back foot.

I think we have to acknowledge that the club currently sits 2nd last in competition and is playing rubbish football for the most part. Not really enticing anyone to show up if we are being honest.

Yep. But before covid there wasn't any streaming at all, so I fear it will be gone again completely.

I would love to know how many were ST holders and how many weren't? If say 100 were ST then that's 3K going into the club just from the other 300 streaming. Be interesting to see if the club still thinks it's a worthwhile financial investment come end of the season.

One of the best goals I have seen at Palmy, hands down the best player in our squad. Connelly and Nditi contract extensions a must for mine.

Game shifted for us when Treloar went into the middle, we were able to get on top at the contest. When Melbourne threw Jackson into the ruck and Gawn forward, they were able to shift the momentum back into their favour in that burst before the 3rd quarter break.
