Looks like Ray will be staying as Ferguson has opted to bring another ex Forfar manager in as assistant.

Bringing in Gary Bollan as his assistant might be the most hilarious move Ferguson could make. How has that c**t managed to move upwards about making an arse of jobs at Forfar and Cowdenbeath?
Don’t write anything negative online about Bollan though, he might tell you to “watch your back” at the next game.

Is he any good?
Not really.

There's obviously the perfectly reasonable explanation for Ferguson being at your game on Saturday that he was simply there to watch his son play, but you do wonder if he had a chat with Raymond while he was there.
To be fair, he’s been at every game since his son signed. Wouldn’t put it past him though to try and bring Ray in again.

Well we've been drawn away to Huntly in the Scottish cup, a tougher draw than you might think because they seem to be doing really well this season.
Also this his bad luck we have with being drawn away so much is getting a little out of hand now.
I don’t mind being drawn away from home when it’s a trip to somewhere a bit different!

A good result yesterday and delighted for Paterson, he deserved a start and took his goal well. Hopefully that gives him the confidence to kick on.
On another note, very disappointing to see Whyte didn’t get any minutes at all, let alone start.

The referees at this level have always been poor, it isn’t anything new.
If we had won today, there is no way you would have made this thread, nor would you have said the ref was having a shocker or that he had lost the plot on the club’s Twitter. Comments like that on official club accounts every week aren’t exactly going to help any matters. If anything, it will get the club into bother.

Just the one goal and two assists for our #9 today lads.
You don't know what you've got until it's gone.
I respect the commitment to trying for bites.

Now that Whyte looks back up to speed he should be just about the first name on the teamsheet (not at left back). He's always been a class act for us. He never put a foot wrong today and it wasn't just breaking up play. Whatley was also good second half buzzing about the park, not worrying about protecting the back four.
McKinnon has to settle on a formation and line up, he's all over the place at the minute. Total fustercluck.
I always worry that Whyte will break down again but hopefully he is over his injury issues as like you say, he is a class act.

Four wins in the last 20 league games is close enough to being as bad as Irvine. Maybe not as many defeats as him but that’s dire.

it became obvious that he should of been playing LB today like he's done plenty of times before.
Surely you’re on the wind up there? Why would you want Whyte to go and play somewhere he’s played maybe five times in his six years at the club? Especially since his best position is central?

The people who go out the way to bash him every single chance are the same ones who didn't give credit to him for scoring 9 league goals the season before last.
Plenty of people have given him credit for scoring 9 goals, for a defender that’s great but at the same time he wasn’t exactly covering himself in glory at the back. Far too many fans, on Facebook especially, used the ‘he scored 9 league goals’ to defend him when he’s been slated, that’s not an automatic pass on being held accountable for his faults.

It's worse IMO.
Irvine's first season in charge seems to have been erased from some folks memories, you know the one where Matty Aitken was good.
We were only good up until Christmas that season then in true Forfar fashion imploded (or started playing Harkins, whatever one fits). No wonder people have tried to erase it.

We are continuously starting Andy Munro, making our defence one of the worst automatically. Outside of him, Whyte, Morrison, Allan and Nditi is a good defence but still lacking a LB.

That was possibly the worst game I’ve ever seen. We look so poor in the league and McKinnon doesn’t seem in the slightest bit keen to fix it.

Forfar haven't started the season too well but looking at their squad they are still better than us in every department.
To improve your defence, can we interest you in taking Andy Munro back?

Munro as a captain is understandable. One of the longest serving players, is vocal and can command. However his limited footballing ability has nosedived and is as many have said a bombscare!
He’s vocal but in the sense of blaming everyone else for his own mistakes. Just look at the first goal, he’s blaming Marc when it was that daft c**t who put the ball across the box.

Looking into the stats, league games only.
We have won 4 games out of the last 18 games played…
I’m sorry but that’s sackable that.
Almost as bad as Irvine if I remember correctly…

Mutale has been pretty good. As for the defence and midfield the less said the better
What game have you been watching? He’s been poor.

Munro absolutely at fault for that pen. Yes Allan caused the foul but that was because Munro made a stupid pass across the box!
Every. Fucking. Week.

Just the four centre backs starting this week then.

With Whyte & Munro back in the mix, I can’t wait to see us start with 7 defenders this weekend.
McCallum
Nditi Morrison Whyte Munro Hutchinson Allan Brindley
Whatley Robson
Inglis
lets do this
Inglis in that team? Watch now, that’s too attacking. What you want is Zach Paris instead alongside Marc.

Think of another centre back that is somehow captain.

Despite thinking the second goal was offside yesterday, the Dumbarton footage shows it was 100% onside.
Take a guess which defender played Gray on.

Whyte is an excellent defender, unfortunate with injuries however. Disappointing to see him go out on loan.
