THIS. Exactly This! People have a short memory and some fans think we have a divine right to success. Hartley is building a team (and for what it's worth I think we are stronger than we were last year). He has cleared the decks and brought in his own guys but we have to be patient and let him do his job. We have all seen what this group of players are capable of- we can be unplayable or absolutely rotten at times. On Holt- I totally agree, there is a player in there but he needs support , coaching and most of all time. Yes he has had moments this season where you wonder why he is getting picked but he is a young guy, playing his first season in the top league, I think he will come good! Football supporters often forget to actually support.

I remember Meggatt playing earlier this season (against Killie?) at Dens. He was so bad he was hooked at halftime. He is no where near the standard we need. I think Hartley knows that.

It was a sore one. No doubt. Losing a goal after 13 secs only settled Rangers and shook us and once that happened I had a feeling it was going to be one of those days. Tactically we seemed to be split open down the left hand side with Tavernier given freedom of the park. Having a narrow midfield left Holt exposed, and often in a 2 on 1 situation until O'Dea could come in and cover, by that time Rangers were in our box! We didn't settle until Kerr and Wighton came on and I think it's no coincidence our play improved hugely with their introduction. The time has come to give them a run. They are both Dee's, both massive talents and can do no worse than what we saw yesterday! I'm desperate for a game now- hope the players are too. They need to make it up to us for yesterday.

I remember McGinn getting the same comments last season that Holt is getting now. He's a young player adapting to a new team and a new league, there is no question that there is a difference in standard between the Championship and the Premiership. Give the guy the time and the support and he will come good, like McGinn now is. I think now Gowser is back we will see the defence less exposed than it has been at times this season. We have missed a holding midfielder of his quality. This will help all of our defence, not just Holt.

I'm actually in the fans goal celebration on this one.. The one and only time I sat in the lower fair play. Shame the dabs got one back that day. We outplayed them with 10 men. I actually thought we were better when Cafu was sent off!

I kind of agree however I always thought that Ryan Conroy got a much tougher time than he should have- he had ability, could run past a man and scored some beautiful free kicks!

Anyone else had an issue with logging into DeeTv this week? My monthly payment comes out via PayPal and was taken earlier in the week. Now whenever I log in its taking me to the page where I select a membership and need to pay.. Again.. I've emailed the club twice but as yet no reply..

It will be interesting to see how we line up vs Dunfermline. PH has said he will go all out in the cups.. I think he might still be tempted to field the likes of Dylan Carierro and Calvin Colqhoun. I've signed up for DEETV. To be honest I would rather my money was going straight into the club than into the coffers of the society. Whilst I appreciate all the work done by the society in keeping the club afloat I feel it's now time we completely back he club. Good move I think. No business in the world should be dictated to or held ransom for money that is for all intents and purposes, theirs.

Very encouraging showing tonight! Lots to be looking forward to this season. I agree with all the comments on who shone tonight. I thought Julen looked as good a CH as we have had in the last few years, Nicky Low was an absolute work horse and Kane Hemmings is a threat up top we haven't had in some time. Hard to judge on one game but overall I think we look a lot stronger than last year.

Anyone else counting down the days to the Raith friendly? I can't wait to see the new look team!
