  1. John Ward suggesting money was very tight today on Sportsound. A concerning interview.
  2. Delighted for Tiffoney today. Has added physicality to his game over the last year and now looks like a real prospect. Early days but I think I am happy with us going with him as our main striker with money being tight. I think today's goal will be massive for his confidence.
  3. Why do all these pundits seem to expect free-flowing, exciting football every time they go out? Every time I listen, they talk so negatively about the games. I rarely hear this tone when games in England are covered by Sky, BT or BBC. They seem incapable of actually analysing what went on in the games.
  4. That Holt clearance was massive. We were terrible after Tiffoney went off. Great performance first half though and deserved result in the end.
  5. How many games has Tiffoney played for us at a position anything other than striker? Looks like our best option up there too.
  6. The same stats showed Ross Stewart performing above average last season so I hesitate putting too much faith in them.
  7. Yeah I called this recently. Stryjek will get both October games as McCrorie is away with Scotland. McCrorie is giving me Ross Stewart vibes from the start of last season in the sense he is not doing much wrong but he is not making a lot of saves and a lot is going in. Don't think it's quite that bad yet but he needs to start helping the defence out more often.
  8. I agree he was an arse but I actually felt as though he came across reasonably well informed. When he criticised the Stavanger team, it felt more like a criticism of this year's team against previous years. May be fair considering he played for them.
  9. Celtic TV's coverage was more balanced than the nonsense I heard across the BBC yesterday.
  10. McCrorie....I just don't get how he's so highly rated. My rangers supporting mate has watched a few of our games and has said he hopes they sell him as he's nowhere near good enough for rangers. His kicking is woeful, how many times did he kick it straight out of play under no pressure? He made a decent save in the second half but one you'd expect a keeper to make. He's rushed off his line early again and made it easy for their 3rd goal. I take it back. I think he gets caught in two minds about coming out and may have made it more difficult had he stayed back. Bartley doesn't cover himself in glory on that goal either.
  11. Did they interview anyone except Neil Lennon prior to full time? Now bizarrely speaking to Jack Ross...
  12. I think Bartley is getting a hard time because a lot of the work he does won't be picked up by tv cameras. If there were fans at the games, able to see the full pitch at all times then they'd see what he brings. The commentators on BBC radio praised him a few times. Tiffoney was onto a loss straight away... he's come in and lead the line fairly well but he's up against some absolute giants. His pace got us in behind a couple of times and he won the penalty...can't judge the lad on this game. Bartley has been on poor form but he was fine today. Thought Tiffoney had a really good showing against 3 giant centre halves and won the penalty as you say. I think I see Devlin in the same way you see McCrorie. Maybe came out a little too quick but I think it's good play from Celtic. He's through on goal regardless of whether McCrorie comes out. If Stryjek has a good run in the league cup, he will deserve more of a chance in the league.
  13. Admittedly I'm only going by the replays as I've just got in the house but I can't see where he's directly cost us a goal today. The second goal is a shambles from the entire defence especially Brown who's barely jogged to track his man, giving him a tap in. Defence needs better organisation and that starts with the keeper...I can't say I've ever noticed McCrorie shouting at his defence to get them set Stands off McGregor for the first goal and loses his man Taylor for the second.
  14. Back to 3-6-1 and no Souda in the squad again. Is he injured or leaving?
  15. I imagine Celtic will keep Griffiths in reserve until closer to the end of the window in case Edouard leaves. Pignatiello, De Vita and possibly one of Taylor-Sinclair/McMillan to follow? Both of them I rate higher than Serrano incidentally.

  17. I imagine they might have someone already if he's being allowed to go. Tiffoney, Poplatnik and Lokotsch does not inspire confidence.
