  1. Robinson talking shite about Accies winning with their one opportunity on goal despite being all over them for the last 25 minutes. I enjoy very much when he goes in the huff after a bad result.
  2. I don't think it helped that fans (and clearly the coaches) saw him as a winger rather than a physical centre forward where he was a lot more dangerous.

  4. Reasonably so. An experienced defence and midfield but clearly youngsters in attack and in goals.
  5. Disappointing that the EEN article has the Hibs line up but not ours. Hibs: Dabrowski, Stirling, Gray, McGregor, Stevenson, Mallan, Allan, Hallberg, Mackie, F Murray, Gullan. Subs: Johnson, James, Shanley, I Murray, Yeats, Fairley.
  6. Agreed on Ambrose, think that's likely. Surprised Tiffoney didn't come on yesterday. Would like to see him get more of a chance.
  7. Terrific display from the back 4 and Stryjek. Fitzwater MOTM for me, he threw himself at everything and was much improved from the last 3 games. Credit to Devlin as well who was really solid after I slagged him off. I would start Hamilton in Aberdeen with Tiffoney or SKA coming off the bench. Poplatnik needs to work harder to get in the team.
  8. Will be interesting to see if Poplatnik starts today. Imagine he was always earmarked as a potential replacement for Dykes so we should give him a chance to impress. Would love us to be almost debt-free on the back of this move. It's a shame this didn't happen earlier as we may have gone in for Nisbet before Hibs.
  9. Ross Stewart apparently moving to Hearts on loan. His agent must be one of the best out there.
  10. I like Crawford and don't think he's had enough opportunities in the team. Given he didn't make the bench tonight, I would say a loan until January could be possible. We don't have a million options at centre mid though. Echo the comment on Devlin. Don't think he's up to much technically.
  11. I love Shagz but Dykes was lightyears ahead of him tonight. Won almost everything in the air and unbelievably strong on the ball. Really good player. Anyone who can't see that is a moron.
  12. We were the better team. 2 points dropped through clownshoes defending. Our midfield and attack were excellent, particularly Dykes & Forrest for the latter. Sibbald was comfortably the best player on the pitch, the second goal was a thing of beauty. Will have to be so much better defensively against Rangers.
  13. 2 year deal for Jason Holt. Unsurprising when he was training with us. I think that he is a great upgrade to our centre mid options so he'll likely play at right wing back tomorrow.
  14. I don't mind that line-up but ATS & McMillan at full back would be my preferred two. Can shift Efe into centre-back over Brown if they insist on playing him.
  15. That, in my opinion, stems from not having enough attacking players close to Dykes which ultimately leads back to the formation and the 3/5 at the back. I think we could all accept the loss of attacking threat if we were looking additionally solid at the back. We weren't. Full backs like Nicky Devlin standing off a good player like Horgan and three centre halves who were hopeless at defending their penalty box. All three first-half goals were avoidable and were so easy for Nisbet and Doidge who made it look like they were playing against one of our youth teams. Fourth goal was equally horrendous with Ambrose giving up tracking his man and Bartley clattering Halberg. It was all a pretty good example of the head's gone way we had approached the second half. We had 5 wingers/forwards at one point and probably would have conceded more if Hibs hadn't taken their foot off the gas. Really concerning to lose so comfortably against a team who didn't have to work extremely hard for it.
  16. Just a reminder that we have played this formation now in 5 competitive games. 0 wins, 2 draws & 3 defeats. 4 goals scored, 9 conceded. Basically started when we tried to shoehorn Ambrose into a team that was playing well. It's been a complete disaster and tough decisions need to be made now before it's too late.
  17. You're talking 5 years ago for clown shoes defending like that. Really, really bad.
  18. Not good at all. I don't think I or more importantly Holt/Martindale know our best 11 and the team looks really disjointed. The second half substitutions became head's gone amateur hour - 'Let's chuck on every striker we have and not give a f**k about losing more on the break'. Devlin and Ambrose are not good for the defence at all. We look really shaky at the back for the first time in a long time with them playing. The only positive is that we dumped the 3 at half-time and started to look much better (if still susceptible on the break). Get Taylor-Sinclair and McMillan back in and go with Brown and Guthrie at centre half. Bartley, Pittman and Crawford in the middle, Souda and Robinson wide with Dykes centrally. The sole positive news is that Poplatnik and Tiffoney came on and caused problems. Kouider-Aissa and Forrest need to show more.
  19. That was fucking dreadful. Get this formation in the bin and Devlin off the park. All three goals came down his side, Horgan is having a field day.
  20. I think the only difference is that those two have had their numbers replaced while Menga hasn't. They may all still be on the payroll as a result.
