  1. What evidence did they offer up to prove that they are able to force themselves into the LL play-offs without any of the leagues agreeing to it? What evidence did they offer up to prove the SFA invited them, as opposed to TJ writing to the SFA Board asking for access (which actually is the real story)? Did anyone ask about EGM's and mandates?
  2. The EoS last season went with seeded Conferences for all, current members and newbies. Each Conference had an even balance of good teams, middle of the road, and weaker teams. The winners played-off for the title and LL promotion, the next 4 or 5 in each Conference went to this seasons Premier. It was tense all the way through, we scraped a Premier place on the last day on goal difference. Sure there were some humpings, but at the end of the day everyone knew it was for one season, and just got on with it and as has been said, you visited grounds you would never normally visit out with cup games. We also hosted (and visited) the likes of Linlithgow in a league game for the first time in over 30 years, we went to Ormiston for the first time in a very long time. It was enjoyable. On the flip side. maybe the smaller west teams who fancy moving will welcome a season hosting a few of the big fishes. As for floodlights, I've seen figures quoted from anywhere between £40k to £80k, it really does depend on individual clubs circumstances. Haddington have just switched on their lights, and they are a smaller club in the scheme of things. A combination of grants (Council and SFP), sponsors and fundraising usually sees clubs push it over the line. Not easy, but it is achievable and you don't need to do it immediately (or at all!). Dunipace are a great club for west clubs to talk to and find out their experiences. they've came from the bottom of the pile in the west and achieved a hell of a lot in a short space of time. The bottom line is, the WoSFL is a brand new league and it will take time to settle, there will be bumps along the way and no doubt mumps and moans, but clubs should be looking at where they want to be in 10 years time, not next year. None of the east clubs who left the Juniors regret it, it has been refreshing and a lot more professional, and the Scottish Cup for those who are licenced is great to look forward to and take part in. In 5 years time I guarantee you'll look back and wonder what all the fuss was about.
  3. Last season, Bonnyrigg, Linlithgow and Bo'ness shared Conferences with Burntisland, Tweedmouth and Stirling Uni Reserves. No issues.
  4. Bonnyton are already tier 6, why would they be happy to go lower?
  5. Because non-West Junior clubs are also interested, it's a brand new league, and everyone starts equal at the same level.
  6. Me? You really don't like what's happening do you!
  7. Nobody will be knocked back (if they meet the criteria)
  8. The big deal here is that at one of the PWG meetings TJ stated zero of the west region clubs would have an interest in moving to another league & leaving the sjfa. Clearly this is not the case. Some have stated their interest in public for all to see. Correct, given what TJ claimed at the final PWG, the LL were hoping to get between 12-16 clubs, enough to get this off the ground. 48 is remarkable, and even if that drops back to say 30-36 when applications open, it would exceed their expectations by a long way and prove beyond doubt they were right.
  9. I wasn't referring to Largs actually, but another Premier club. Yes Beenze is Ronney.
  10. Who avoids the other thread? seems to be turning into the same stuff.
  11. Is it true that at least one club have allegedly backed the WRJFA according to Beenze, but deny it? if so, how many more?
  12. So tell us what gems Beenze promised tonight at Largs.
  13. The latest update regarding the West of Scotland League Following the passing of the date for clubs to note an interest in the proposed WoSFL, we can confirm that a total of 48 clubs from all grades have submitted emails thus far, asking to be kept informed of further developments. Clubs who have not noted their interest yet are still welcome to contact George Fraser geo_fraser @hotmail.co.uk to do so. This also does not preclude clubs from applying once more information is released. We will now formalise the process and will contact all clubs concerned with further details.
  14. We've all seen them as they have been posted on here in the past, Marten was shown them by Larry at Lochee, we all debated them at the time. they were being used to proclaim "done deal" with all Juniors in at tier 6 for this season. Nothing happened, because they were meaningless.
  15. I didn't say you wouldn't find any, just not too many......
  16. You'll not find too many Tories in Blackburn I'm afraid!
  17. Points 1,2,3,5 and 8 are absolute rubbish. So he is either very badly informed, or is lying. Either way, if he is going into club meetings intending to say this, he is misinforming and misleading people.
  18. We even had Beenze chortling last year that after some Hampden meeting or other and the news broke of the outcome, I'd be having a meltdown as it was a done deal. I never did get an apology from Larry.
  19. I don't hate the Juniors either, I've watched Junior football for 40 years and still watch it. It's just football at the end of the day. Problem is, it conducts itself like a cult and anyone criticising it or threatening it is seen as the enemy by some blazers. I only post my opinions on here like everyone else, and if I hear any information that I'm able to share then I'll share it. There's stuff I get told that I can't share (asked not to) or won't share (because I think it might be guff). People are free to believe it or not, and of course most of what I post can be checked independently. None of it is rocket science. And yes, sometimes I call it wrong.
  20. Further proof that every one of you Junior haters hang on everything that comes from Burnie as being solid gospel truth. Meltdown
  21. When the new WoSFL has approaching 50 notes of interest, together with the backing of the other Pyramid leagues as well as the SPFL, I wonder what there is to be achieved by fighting against it and for who's benefit. Many Junior clubs want to move into senior football and the Pyramid, there are many who want to remain Junior. No club is forced to move, no club is forced to stay where they are, they will all have a choice. That choice will remain next year, the year after etc. As per above, what is Beenze fighting for, and on who's authority? where is the EGM?
  22. The SFA have no greater say in how the LL, HL, EoS or SoS conduct their business as they do with the SPFL. Just like they have no say in how the WRJFA run it's leagues. The SFA do not run leagues. They can facilitate discussions, maybe even suggest ideas, but it's the league members and the league board who have final say.
