Obviously inherently biased being Scottish, but can someone please at least try to explain to me how it is that Tomiyasu is constantly ahead of Tierney in this arsenal team? It doesn’t appear to make any sense.

Makes even less sense to play Partey at RB, therefore playing Tomiyasu at LB as opposed to just playing Tierney

Im a long time Accies supporter who has been an occasional viewer of Accies content on pie and bovril, but not felt the need to be a contributor.
I know I’ll get dogs abuse for this, and accused of being a BOD ‘plant’… nothing could be further from the truth.

I don’t know Gerry Strain or any of his cronies, but he has come out today to give fans a bit info on why the Connor Smith loan deal has not happened…… don’t think what he said was unreasonable or damaging…….is silence the best policy? ‘Keeping fans in the dark’?….really think some people on here need to get over themselves.

Good to see you finally sign up Mr Mulligan. What good deals are on in Iceland at the moment?

I did think the idea of Conner Smith coming back was too good to be true...

It was obvious he wasn’t coming . There is no value in hearts sending him to league 1 where he has already proved himself at QP and then shown it in the Championship with us last season.

Sorry to drop in… I would have been very surprised if Smith went to league one as it’s plain to see he’s beyond that level. That being said, I think Hamilton have a stronger team this year in league one that you did in the champ last year…

He has said when at Accies games this season he has no interest in going to Airdrie, maybe been put off by his Brother. Imagine he will end up at ICT

Simon Thomas is struggling with the step up, no doubt about it. He is out of his depth, the job's too big for him. If he drops another howler like he did at full-time of Bournemouth v West Ham today then I would like to see Merse launching an on-air coup, or at least breaking into a rendition of 'You don't know what you're doing'.

Give it Big Woodsy til end of the season

  5. Routine win in the end despite a below par first half.

Not surprised in the slightest that when we took O’Hara off we instantly looked more threatening. He does a lot of running but isn’t clinical enough at all.

One looked a class act today he should be starting for Winter or O’Hara next week.

Honestly a mixture of nerves and excitement for tomorrow. I would imagine that when my train pulls into Newcastle that I will likely be sick on a fellow passenger.

Are you a Jason Tindall fan?

He's being allowed to fulfil media commitments/opportunities before he comes back.  Apparently playing in a 'celebrity' charity football match on Saturday.

I seen that which is what made me ask the question. Interesting to know, suppose Edinburgh might think there is a benefit of it if it leads to a couple of people deciding to attend a game because he is playing further down the line (unlikely as that may be).

    Did he win?

No. Recently split up with the girl he was coupled with on it because he allegedly cheated on her.

Some of us are old enough to remember when (some) drivers only had hand signals to indicate their driving manoeuvres.

It wasn’t until 1975 that candidates taking their driving test no longer had to demonstrate hand signals.

Surprisingly “w****r” was not included as it’s used more and more these days.

Was there not someone on here who made up some elaborate lie that he was permitted to use hand signals instead of the indicators when doing his driving test.

. Especially as the board member at the centre of it all seems to have played a big part in our recruitment of players and improving our squad

I highly doubt said board member/director of football had as much input as his egotistical signing announcements state.

Infact I can quite confidently assume every single signing we’ve made would probably still be at the club if said DOF wasn’t imo.
