The Napoli v Lazio game was decent for a 1-1, with both goals scored within 90 seconds of each other. Napoli had plenty of the ball and Hamsik was excellent but they miss a striker. It's a shame Milik got injured. Are there no late games tonight? I see BT are showing a game now, one at 2ish then one at 5 but is there a 7.45 game as normal too? If there is that's the lot of Serie A for one day.

Roma v Bologna on BT1 tonight,.

  2. Napoli deserved a point IMO, played really well considering they had no out and out striker on the park. Huge bit of luck involved with each Juve goal (albeit excellent finishes in the end), but the Napoli goal was excellent. Taking off Insigne was mental from Sarri though, Giaccherini is pish.

Agree with Mr X, its not surprising giving the remaster isnt far off and both of the major consoles right now are advertising it. Are Nintendo trying to blend console and handheld together with this? I'm definitely intrigued, if it had access to backwards compatibility with DS/3DS titles and Wii/Wii U titles that would be a pretty unique and impressive selling point.

I think it looks fantastic and the trailer seems to show a 3DS cartridge being put in the side. The 2 player split screen using either side as a independent controller is really great. Im really impressed. I was looking at getting a new model 3DS soon but if this can play 3ds titles i would happilly hold onto my money til then. The press release says that it will have access to 500 games at launch btw March 2017 launch

I can't see anything in the press release stating that, the closest I can find is that a company called 505 games will be supporting it. I do like the look of it though. Like yourself I was going to get a 3DS fairly soon but may hold off until it's known whether this might play 3DS games or not.

  4. Disappointing he's only been fined, was hoping for more scenes. Although, the ultras aren't pleased:

    Quote

Inter’s Ultras are “against the decision” to allow Mauro Icardi to continue as captain - “Icardi the player is dead to us”.

The striker released an autobiography last week, and among the things recounted was a disagreement between the players and the Ultras after a defeat to Sassuolo in February 2015.

The Curva Nord were furious about Icardi’s version of events, demanding that he be stripped of the captaincy, but the Nerazzurri have allowed him to keep the armband.

“In principle we’re against this decision, we need to see what the club’s reasons are,” a spokesman for the Ultra Group, Franco Caravita, told SportItalia.

“If we have a problem then we’ll evaluate that problem.

“The relationship with Icardi? After what was written in the book, something that was written freely and not interpreted in an article or said instinctively under pressure, the relationship can’t be mended.

“These words were too serious, and I’d add that we’re hostages to these characters, who ask for millionaire contracts and then behave like spoiled children.

“You can’t mock a fan and treat him like an idiot just because you can kick a ball, not to mention that this book was written based on falsehoods.

“Icardi the player is dead to us. We hope he’ll withdraw this book and then that would probably close the matter for us.

“Until the day before yesterday he greeted me, and hid that he wanted me killed. There are some things in life that a man can’t bear.

“So if he’s a real man he’ll withdraw the book, but given the attitude he has I don’t think he will.

“The decisions have been taken now, so even though we don’t accept what has been decided, we have to make the best of a bad situation. All we can do is take our unconditional love around Italy.

“We understand that there’s a corporate power vacuum right now, on the 29th the board of directors will meet so we’ll see then.

“We were pleased by the words of [vice-President Javier] Zanetti, which came from the experience he had and is having with us.

“He has always respected the fans, even if we’ve had some delicate moments with him. He looked at the reality and we faced each other in a frank and honest way.

“We don’t expect to go out and about with the players, we just want a simple and loyal relationship.

“If Icardi scores, he scores for Inter. So we’ll thank Inter, not him.”

  5. Seen that translated elsewhere as saying:  "We’re here… When your Argentine friends arrive, will you warn us or do it like a coward?". Pwopa nawty. Everyone involved in the whole thing look like total fannies. Utterly hilarious for the rest of us though.

As for actual football; Milan beat Chievo 3-1 to move third. 3 of the 4 goals were belters, with Milan's third coming courtesy of one of the most ridiculous deflections I've seen.

  6. I think my favourite bit from the bits and pieces I've seen posted online from his book, is this:

    Quote

He said: “The day before I left for a friendly tour in the US, I got a message from Wanda, I was surprised because I usually spoke with Maxi, not with her.

“She asked me if I could buy a new iPad in the US, it wasn’t available yet in Italy at that time. That episode, however, made me think.

“Did Wanda really want that tablet, or was she seeking an excuse to get in touch with me?

So whilst he's getting the shit kicked out of him, there will be 100 people travelling across from Argentina to save him?

Don't think that he's thought this one out...

He's an utter moron, so it's not surprising. Anyway, I'm curious to know whether anyone at Inter read his book before it was released. If they had, surely they'd have done something. Zanetti's statement earlier implies no-one had, and he doesn't sound very pleased.

Seen a bit of this on twitter. He insulted the fans so they had a banner telling him to gtf essentially?

Well, what he said in the book was:

I am ready to face them one by one. How many are there? 50, 100, 200? OK, record my message and let him listen: I’ll bring 100 criminals from Argentina who’ll kill them where they stand, then we’ll see.

    Highlights now up:

Three things in particular I love about the highlights: The Parma kit , the celebrations of the Forli subs/bench after each of their goals, and the defenders reaction to giving away the penalty at the end.  Really impressed with the Sportube service as well, free highlights from most (all?) Lega Pro Cup/League games and reasonably priced for single games too.

3-2 to Forli at half time. Parma pulling it back from 2-0 down only for Forli to score in the 45th minute.

Interesting to see newly-promoted Sambenedettese top. They won their Serie D group a few years back but were administratively relegated to Eccellenza Marche because they were skint and have fought their way back. If they secure promotion and Ascoli stay up then they'll face each other in Serie B for the first time since the 1985/86 season. Former Napoli, Roma and Ascoli coach, Carlo Mazzone, said that the Ascoli-Samb rivalry was the most intense one he'd ever experienced. Personally I prefer Samb.

The 3 points were never in doubt. ^_^ Didn't catch the game as I was late in, but struggling like that against utter shite like Forli is a concern, but 5 goals and the win will certainly do. Only moved up one place with the win, but now 2 points closer to the top which is pleasing.

I really like Sambenedettese's ground as it happens:

    Stadio_Riviera_delle_Palme_veduta_aerea.

I'm sure it's only recently they added in the roof, but despite still being a bit run down, it looks like it would generate a pretty good atmosphere.  In fact, Parma got a 2-2 draw there just a few games back - highlights here if you're interested: CLICK. An absolute screamer for their second.

  11. Caught my first full 90 minutes of a Parma game this season on Monday, when they played FeralpiSalo at home. They lost 2-1, their second defeat of the season which leaves them sitting 9th on 12 points after 8 games, 5 points off top spot. It was the fourth time this season they'd conceded 2 goals in a league game - although they've kept clean sheets in the other four, so I'm not sure the defence is that bad, but they certainly need to tighten it up a bit. They aren't exactly banging them in at the other end. 10 goals in the 8 games so far, but 4 of those were in one game. They did bring in a lot of players over the summer so hopefully it's just a case of them needing time to settle in and gel with the rest of the squad, but results so far certainly don't point to them challenging for the title at the seasons end.

Anyway, on this game itself, it was actually pretty entertaining, result aside. Was played at a good pace and both sides played some nice stuff at times. I actually missed the FeralpiSalo opener as my internet cut off just as their player was about to take his shot. I spent about 2 minutes frantically refreshing the page to see if they'd actually scored or not - given the position he was in, I knew once the internet was up and running again that it was going to be 1-0. Parma equalised from a corner a minute before half time, then let Feralpi go straight up the park, win their own corner and go back in front thanks to some awful marking. Second half seen lots of Parma pressure, but Feralpi defended pretty well and there wasn't many (if any) clear cut chances. Parma did have three goals disallowed though, one which was pretty harsh for a supposed foul on the goalkeeper. The game was stopped for a minute or two as well, as some supporters in the Curva decided to start launching bottles at the Feralpi 'Keeper.  Just under 10,000 at the game which is pretty good going for that level, although it was about 300 down from their previous home game. Up next is Forli away from home, who are bottom of the table with no wins, 3 goals scored and a -12 GD. In fact, their next 3 games are against the current bottom three. 9 points from those puts them right back in the mix as the league itself is pretty tight at the top. 1st down to 7th are separated by just 2 points.

Sassuolo were a bit unlucky; penalty to make it 3-2 was a poor decision.

This Roma v Inter game has been a brilliant watch. Good football and errors in plentiful supply.

Aye, thought that too. They totally imploded after that as well. Could still have gotten a draw towards the end, mind.

The Roma game should be 4-4 or something equally ridiculous at HT. It's a NAP to finish 1-0 now though.
