  1. Was debating whether to start a new thread for the new season, but might as well just keep using this one.

Serie B fixtures were released today. Parma start at home to fellow promoted side Cremonese, whilst Venezia host Salernitana & Foggia get a tough start away at Pescara. Palermo host Spezia and Empoli are at Ternana in terms of the relegated Serie A sides.

    So the 45m and Romagnoli?

Still seems a good deal to me. Bonucci is easily one of the best CBs going, but Chiellini and Barzagli will remain, and Romagnoli has always looked class when I've seen him.

Just the €45m. No Romagnoli either. Mental from Juve, really, regardless of the CB's they'll still have.

Parma are in Serie B again!

Scavone and Nocciolini with the goals for Parma in a 2-0 victory. Alessandria have Gozzi sent off in injury time.

More than happy to be wrong this time. :) Can't believe they ended up getting promoted, thought for sure they would get pumped.

Busy start to the summer already. Three players in and Chinese investors have just bought 60 percent of the club, with Hernan Crespo being made VP. One of the guys involved owns Granada in Spain. Hopefully they don't start throwing money at players in an attempt to go straight up, a season just surviving in Serie B wouldn't be too bad.

  4. 2-1 it finishes. :thumsup2 Will play Pordenone in the SF, will be tough. Pordenone drew 0-0 tonight, but the 97th minute winner in the first leg gets them through.

Will be the third and fourth meetings between the two teams this season, highlights of the previous two:

Should be plenty of goals at least!

Baraye has scored for Parma to make it 2-0 on aggregate.

Alessandria win 5-4 on penalties to knock out Lecce, who were probably favourites to win the playoffs.

As I type this, Lucchese have just equalised through D'Auria. Parma still lead 2-1 on aggregate.

    *edit* Kris got there first.

Parma are winning 3-2 on aggregate, though. ;) Reggiana through to face Alessandria in the SF's.

Second leg scores (after 90 mins):

Reggiana 1-2 Livorno - extra time being played, Reggiana have just made it 2-2.

Alessandria 0-0 Lecce - extra time played, no-one scored. Has gone to penalties.

Lucchese-Parma and Cosenza-Pordenone kicked off at 7:30. No goals in either game yet.

The first leg of the Serie B playoff final between Carpi and Benevento also kicked off at 7:30. No goals yet. The second leg will be played on Thursday.

Alessandria win 5-4 on pens after Lecce missed their first. Baraye had put Parma ahead but Lucchese just equalised.

  7. Livorno 1-2 Reggiana
    Parma 2-1 Lucchese
    Lecce 1-1 Alessandria
    Pordenone 1-0 Cosenza

Parma the better side as expected, despite not getting out of second gear. Pordenone won their leg with a 97th minute winner, whilst Lecce and Alessandria could only draw.
