  1. Sanders was a weird one.  He started terribly when he signed, not sure if it was down to being rusty or not.  By the end he had come on to a bit of a game, however did have quite a few howlers along the way.  He had signed a contract with us, not sure what the script is with the PCA etc, but it does sound like you have had to pay some sort of fee, probably very minimal to take him.

    Enjoyed that interview with Dowds.

Simple stuff really, just a wee Q&A over Zoom, but it makes a difference. Someone that knows how to ask questions and tap into what most fans are thinking about for the upcoming season.

Hopefully lots more of that kind of of thing as we progress thriugh the season - the kind of thing that has been missing for a while.

If you're one of the UWS students having McLean around, must be a good buzz.  Probably learn more in 5 minutes with him than half their course.

Matt Le Tissier's descent into the world of conspiracies is alarming

So brown said he expects 2or 3 more to come in . Walker in the door . So we still need rb ch and cm what position out the 3 needs beefed up I go for rb and cm

We only have 2 signed centre halves for those 2 positions, so centre half is priority number 1 for me.  Yes McMann can cover there, but we desperately need another.  I think we could possibly sign 2 permanent and 1 loan player at a push.  CB/CM and maybe get a right back on loan (Megwa would be superb).

He has the potential to be a great signing for Thistle or a source of massive frustration for the season ahead.  There's definitely talent there but is the attitude right?  I have no real insight into this other than the fact that he was warming the bench for Ayr last season when they weren't exactly flying.

When he is on it, he is a great player and will get you 15/20 goal contributions a season.  If he is having an off game, he's a man down.  Injuries kind of scuppered him last season, then when back fit wasn't really what Brown was looking for in a player when our backs were to the wall in a relegation scrap.  Think he was still after the sort of wage he was on at Dundee United and we were never going to pay that when he probably doesn't fit too well into Browns system.

Guys, probably been mentioned before but missed it,if you buy a ticket for sre can you still move to half way line at any time

Normal league games I would imagine so, all ticket matches maybe not depending on sales and areas meeting capacity.  If SRE was to sell out for Killie game, gate to NT would be closed to avoid overcrowding etc.

As Killie are not getting a cut of the gate money for the bounce game, I don’t think many Killie fans will travel just to subsidise  Ayr’s budget.. Killie as far as I know will send down a young squad so at 20 quid a ticket, Ayr must be desperate for cash. An empty away end is looking imminent.

It's not that Ayr are desperate for the cash, it's to smooth us over for not taking Killie to court over non payment of a youth player as previously mentioned.
