I’d like to think that in some parallel universe, where money hasn’t absolutely destroyed any semblance of competition and rotted average footballers minds, Mark Robins is the manager of Manchester United. He’s a legend of the club, he’s a clever manager, and a thoroughly likeable guy.
Instead, the place is a haven for vultures in the board and dressing rooms. Genuinely gutted that Coventry lost today, and raging that United won.

The final whistle has blown for Siegfried Kirschen, East German football referee. A bit random you may think, however he was involved as linesman twice during Scotland WC matches.
1986 against Denmark - we lost 1 nil.
1990 against Brazil - we lost 1 nil.
I’m pretty sure he was the ref in Cyprus when he added on 15 minutes extra time allowing us the opportunity to win 3-2. Worst grass pitch I’ve ever seen.

Emily Pennink, Old Bailey court correspondent for the Press Association, can sleep easy tonight. Her job is safe.

Same law firm that cocked up the presentation on Hogarth's case, must give him and Sumner encouragement.
The term "law "firm" is doing a spectacular amount of heavy lifting here.

I’m no great lover of Real Madrid, but that result has thrilled me greatly. f**k Pep, f**k the petroclubs and f**k (most of all) Manchester City.

“We scored three goals against Celtic a week ago, and scored two goals on Sunday.” That’s ok then.
He was bristling at Luke Shanleys first question, and dug himself a bigger hole with each answer.

I’ve been impressed, to a degree, with Clement up to now, but pre and post this game he’s been a rambling mess.

They kept it quiet then, other than those that held his past against him, all i ever saw was plaudits for the job he was doing. ST sales were up too, might be down next season, but that will prob happen whether Martindale stays or goes. Happened the last time we were relegated from the top flight, some people only want to support us when we're in the top flight playing the big teams.
It depends entirely on what “job” you’re talking about. He more than deserved every plaudit he got, as a football manager in charge of on pitch matters, before this season.

He can make a statement on his own case.
He'll have most likely been advised by his solicitor to do nothing of the sort.

Fans are notoriously fickle, and their opinions change with the weather. When Martindale was doing a tremendous job for us nobody had any concerns about him doing so much around the place, and having so much influence and control, now we've had a terrible season and are being relegated it's a red flag, and seen as a huge problem.
That's not true.

Because it’s an ongoing case with very few details available to the public.
If you look the guy up who wrote it he seems to focus on legal cases here and there. Until it goes to trial and a verdict is reached, you’ll probably only hear about it from him.
Also, the article would be two sentences long if not for the padding.
Yet in your post this morning you wanted something from the club? Or from Ward?

And yet Everton will survive after another desperate season. Hopefully the teams coming up from the championship will see them relegated next year.
Leeds, Southampton and Leicester are the three teams who would probably have designs on staying in the league should they get promoted. The other teams in contention are the very definition of yo-yo.

I’m not sure I’ve seen many better perfect hat tricks.

If you are Gareth Southgate, you are surely giving Cold Palmer a first-class seat on the flight to Germany.
He’d have to get passed Jordan Henderson and Kalvin Phillips first.

That is a lovely goal.

I was pleased to see Paul Merson taking a more active role in Ford Super Sunday coverage.
Keano, Nev and Carra can generate the clickbait, but as a legacy fan, sometimes I just want to sit back and watch a top pro speaking nothing but incoherent nonsense.

Is it only me thats surprised that a taxi firm has 6 figures to throw at a Championship club
I'm not a betting man but I'd bet good money that the club won't see half of that money.

How it made it past the YouTube equivalent of the cutting room floor is beyond me. “Corrupt SD card” should’ve been the order of the day (which would have deprived us of the hilarity I suppose).

Just annoys me when I hear it on the radio, which sounds silly, but I can’t be the only one who rolls their eyes saying “get tae f***” when Simon Jordan and co make light of teams not in the best league in the world.
Hear hear
Listening to Simon Jordan is your big mistake there. His opinions on Scottish football at whatever level, whether positive or negative, are binworthy.
