  1. Manager Ally McCoist warns that the Scottish FA's sanctions against Rangers could put the club out of business. Right, then. So a judge that sentences a criminal to imprisonment could cost that person his job and that is the judges fault? Actually, it is the conduct that led to the punishment that is to blame so if the net result is the (overdue) demise of Mordor FC, then so be it. As for the threats of boycotts, can all currants please just do that. An Orc-free Tannadice will be a much more pleasant place. While you are at it, can you persuade your green and white brethren to do the same, please. That would be peachy.
  2. That's my take too. Starting a new co but let's pretend it's not. Shaft the creditors with a CVA but carry on as Rangers FC with none of the liabilities. Ridiculous proposal. If the aim of Mr Miller is to be the true savior of RFC, he should put up the money, pay for the shares, pay off the debts and then carry on into next season with no points deduction. Understand and accept that a proportion of ST money is going to Ticketus for a few years. Understand and accept that there will be one season without Euro football. Sort out acceptable contracts with the players that mean RFC are operating in the black. Take a few seasons of pain and emerge stronger and fitter than before. I think that would be an honourable road to go down and no-one would have any complaints.
  3. I think it is becoming clear that with CW blaming the previous owner and board for the current woes, it is highly unlikely that he will sell his shares to a group including a member of that administration. If the Blue Knights are to become the new owners, Paul Murray will have to remove himself from the scene or CW will not deal. Let's not forget that a CVA is needed to avoid liquidation and that for the potential purchasers, either is acceptable. Everyone seems to be getting over excited by the thought that CW may be told his purchase of the club was fraudulent but the fact is that he paid in full for David Murray's shares with hie own money. Ticketus were not part of that. Once established as owner, he then took steps to reduce the monthly overheads of the business by paying off the bank debt. Tickets were part of that transaction. Big questions are possibly what happened to the other £6m and the Jelavic transfer fee? The Blue Knights have been told to raise their bids. What happens if they don't?
  4. Haudit & Daudit (I like that!) are Whyte's men. They are just there to get to the end of the season when they will announce a CVA and shaft the creditors which won't include them because they deduct their fee before handing over to the new management team. Ticketus will get SFA which was the intention from the start. HMRC will put a repayment plan into place and Craig Whyte will walk away with a good profit on his £1 investment with grateful thanks to H & D for their sterling efforts in dragging out this current process.
  5. When people say things like "Whyte did not buy the club with his own money", are they talking about the shares because he did use his own money for that. £1 to be exact. He used the Ticketus money to pay off the bank loan to reduce the monthly expenditure. RBS will not return the £18m. If Rangers sell season tickets as is their intention and the Ticketus deal is null and void, Ticketus will then become just another creditor to be paid 3p in the £. They must be feeling pretty stupid right now because they must realise that they were never going to be the sole trader of the season tickets.
  6. OK. If the game had been against Aberdeen for instance, they would have taken around 2000 fans (Maybe more). The game was on TV. If it hadn't been maybe up to another 1000 home fans may have been at the game. Add the stay away home fans who do not want their ears and their children's ears assaulted by the mindless sh*te that is spewed from the mouths of the Ocs and there is not a lot of difference. Now go away and ask the nice nurse to switch the PC off.
  7. I think one of the most crucial aspects of the BKs will be their investigation into the present position of RFC's financial situation. Duff and Phelps are Whyte's allies. They were part of his advisory team when he took over the club and I struggle to see how they can be doing anything other than working in his interest (i.e.ensuring he walks away with as big a profit as possible.) Debts are not a problem provided the club can service them. HMRC will accept a plan to repay what is owed and that leaves a couple of other problems. Craig Whyte will expect the market value for his shares. Ticketus expects to sell 40,000 odd season tickets a year for the next three/four years and I don't think part of that plan includes giving any of that money to RFC so it is lost revenue. You can't force CW to sell his shares and he will sit until the offer matches his valuation. I bet he wants more than £1. Ticketus as I have already mentioned cannot force season ticket holders to renew. If Rangers like big premiership clubs in England start a 12th Man Membership Scheme, any interested fan can pay £10 for a membership card and as they buy tickets for games on-line, they are loaded onto the card and swiped at the turnstile for entry into the ground. if 40,000 season ticket holders decide that they can't afford their season tickets any longer and decide to buy memberships instead, what can Ticketus do? Actually they can only do what they are doing now and that is try like mad to get into bed with the new owners. Even if they do, if it was me, I would want my money to be going into the club and not into the pockets of some venture capitalists so I would embrace the Membership route. RFC get 40,000 members and Ticketus get SFA.
  8. What Ticketus are afraid of is that they are treated as creditors and are forced to settle for 10p in the £ for their £24m. They believe that they own three years of season tickets. However, they are afraid that a court will decide that the season tickets were not Craig Whyte's to sell so all they have is an IOU for the cash. If a court finds in their favour and confirms that they have the sole rights to sell season tickets, Rangers fans have only to decided not to buy them and to pay at the gate for them to be severely out of pocket. No-one can force a season ticket holder to renew and if they choose not to, Ticketus will have 40,000 season tickets and no-one to buy them which is not RFC's fault. Rangers fans will still fill Ibrox and Ticketus will be left high and dry. If they are part of the BK Consortium, they will probably have their paying customers. If I was part of the BKs, I would tell Ticketus to "Eff Off". Season Ticket holders can then decide whether to renew or not. It surely doesn't take the brains of an Archbishop to work out that RFC will benefit from fans paying cash at the gate as opposed to ST holders seeing all their money going to an organisation that has nothing to do with the club.
  9. Who decides? As per article 11 of the SPL's Articles of Association, the SPL board must give its consent for a member share to be transferred. Despite other Articles suggesting otherwise, the other members of the league would not be given a say. Article 11 states: "Except where such transfer is occasioned by the promotion of an association football club from and relegation of a Club to the SFL the consent of the Board shall be required before the transfer of any Share shall be registered." The SPL board consists of Ralph Topping (SPL chairman), Neil Doncaster (SPL chief executive), Eric Riley (Celtic), Stephen Thompson (Dundee United), Derek Weir (Motherwell) and Steven Brown (St Johnstone). Topping has the casting vote in the event of a split decision. Providing final approval is granted, the share will be sold to the newco for £1. The old club will immediately cease to be a member of the SPL, and the newco would become a member in its place. Not as clear cut as it looks.
  10. So what the Blue Knights (or Black Orcs) want is to step into a situation where they get to stay in the SPL, either as Rangers or Mordor FC. They want to play in Europe next season and have no debts because all the creditors have been shafted via the CVA. As a taxpayer, the thought that they can just carry on is sickening and I hope that the SPL have the balls to do something about it.
  11. Yip. Got it on Saturday and it is excellent. Can't wait to hear some of the songs live at Defenders of the Faith III.
  12. Brilliant. I'll be getting that. Hope there is another tour soon. They are the bizniss live.
  13. It was one of my mates needing some cash and he sold me all his Black Sabbath albums that got me into metal. Bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden got me well into it and also some of the older bands like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. Love Metallica too. I try and get to three of four gigs a year. Bullet for my Valentine was the last oneand it was great.
  14. Excellent. Saw them at Fatty's in Dundee. Brilliant. Mind you. Trivium would have been good too. Saw them at Fatty's and with the Irons the last time. One of my favourite bands.
  15. It was brilliant. Three excellent bands and all three sets were amazing. BMTH were outstanding but Bullet were bluddy fantastic. Scream, Aim Fire and Tears don't Fall were my faves. One of the best gigs I've ever been to. A truly great night.
  16. Got my tickets too for SECC. Brilliant. Far too long to wait though!! Possibly Priest too. Could be a great year!
  17. That's brilliant! Currently listeining to BFMV - The Poison. Fever is good too. Not my favourite band but growing on me and I am expecting to be blown away at the SECC in December.
  18. Me too. Seen them twice. Supporting the Irons and headlining at Fat Sams. Faves are: Iron Maiden Slipknot Trivium Machine Head Metallica Judas Priest Anthrax A7X Stone Sour are OK. Good concert on Tuesday. Feckin hope so. I've got withdrawals!!! Fave album is 7th Son but TBH, I love them all.
  19. Went to see Airbourne at Fat Sams last time. They were excellent then but I wasn't impressed with their 2nd album at all. It'll be a good gig though! Next one for me is A7x and Stone Sour and after that is Bullet.
  20. True. Nightmare is excellent. Can't wait. I'll be there and after that, my last gig for 2010 will be BFMV with Atreyu (Who are the dogs!)
