  1. Never seen him play, was never going to get a first team game though and don't think he was getting any goalkeeping coaching at Livi either, from a proper GK coach, so was best he moved to try and get another club.
  2. Largest home gate has been against Celtic colts: 1,214 but I take it we're only talking about league attendances. Looks like it was 989 in our home game against Airdrie, think the only other league game that was above 900 was East Fife.
  3. A nice wee video interview from Rafa, talking about the draw with Alloa, forthcoming game with Stranraer, and a bit on comparisons with the last time he was at Livi winning this league with Bollan. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/video-livingston-fcs-raffaele-de-9785277
  4. Yeah you aren't one guilty of coming on every Livi thread to cause mischief Chapehall chap, I occasionally go on the other teams main thread myself for a wee read to see how they think their teams are getting on. There are some Airdrie fans that are all over our match threads though and Andy must've known that article would attract a few adverse comments from them. This thread must attract more hostility from other teams fans than any other too, just have to look at how many pages it has to see that, and most will be filled by when we went through our two admins. Tbf to Andy, it is good to have something positive said about Livi on this Livi thread, makes a change. Ironic that Callum Carson is an Airdrie fan too.
  5. You must've known the Airdrie fans would be all over it though. Not sure where Callum Carson is getting his info from, that we were favourites to win the league and everyone had us down to win it pre season, certainly wasn't Livi fans thinking that and other teams fans on here didn't rate us as favourites either when you look at the prediction thread. I know you had us down to win Andy, as we had the strongest squad, but Hopkin was the spanner in the works, enough to throw uncertainty into most Livi fans minds. I agree Hopkin deserves credit for the job he's done/is doing, Alloa got off the an incredible start and Brechin were no slackers, the top spot changed places between the 3 of us almost weekly, he did well keeping pace with the other two and eventually pulling away from them. He's strengthened well in Jan and that should be enough to see us win the league. Bollan did the same and rightly got plaudits from Livi fans but Hopkin has a lot to do to win over a lot of our fans after getting us relegated last season, and the Lithgow/Longridge situation isn't doing any thing to win them over. However he's put together a good blend of youth and experience, and has got us scoring a hell of a lot of goals, so it has been a pretty entertaining season. I'll savour and enjoy this season, and on the whole Hopkin deserves plaudits for the job he's doing, but I still have niggly doubts about him being able to keep us in the Championship.
  6. Don't worry about it Logie, we all make arses of ourselves, I told East Fife fans we'd stick 5 past them if they came and had a go at us, then they did exactly that and gubbed us 3-1.
  7. Had been wondering when we'd be playing them, that date makes sense, after we play Airdrie. Wouldn't want to be playing a midweek game before Airdrie, we need to be fully prepared going into that game.
  8. Didn't think he looked clumsy at all, he was bringing the ball down and holding it up till the other Livi players came up the pitch after Buchanan went off, and had a fantastic bit of neat play with Buchanan where they passed the ball to each other 2 or 3 times getting through a packed defence. I'd like to see him and Buchanan getting more time playing together, think it was a mistake taking Buch's off, and don't think we'd have lost a goal had he stayed on with Todorov. Actually think Mullen and him would do well playing together too but you can't drop Buchanan with the form he's on.
  9. Yeah that's the problem Hopkin has in midfield, Cadden and Mullin on the wings gives us a more balanced set up but Millar, Pittman and Byrne are all good players and it's difficult to drop any of them. Millar and Pittman are more creative though and Pittman also works his arse off all game.
  10. Cadden must've been knackered running that whole left side all game, having to hit the bye line in attack and then drop back to cover for Lithgow as he went back into our box and left Cadden to cover the Alloa right wing player. Buchanan was playing in behind Mullen in the first half and it was Mullen getting onto balls played in behind Alloa's defence, which is a pity because he missed two guilt edged chances. I'd like to see Hopkin go with Kelly Crighton Gallagher Halkett Longridge Mullin Millar Pittman Cadden Todorov Buchanan
  11. Where are you hearing that East Fife wanted the higher price? I thought if both clubs didn't agree to the price of a cup game it went to what the host team usually charge in their league games, which would be £12, surely if Livi wanted the 12 quid price all they'd have to do was object to the £15 cup price.
  12. Well done Craig Halkett in getting into the SPFL team of the week. Pretty sure he played as a CB next to Gallagher though, and Crighton was at RB.
  13. Yep we're both agreed on that. In our last game there was a gap for him to go up the pitch and get an attack going but he stopped and turned back the way, then ended up passing the ball back to Kelly. Isn't really his fault, he's a CB and his base instinct is to play safely and not risk losing the ball and being caught out of position up the pitch. Can't see that ever changing with Lithgow tbh. Crighton is different because even as a CB he liked venturing up the pitch and putting in crosses, he's pretty comfortable playing as a RB..
  14. Tbf our defence has only conceded 1 goal in our last 2 games and Lithgow looked ok in our last game, so maybe they're all settling in a bit better now they've had a few games in their new positions. He just doesn't give us the same attacking threat Longridge does though and looks shit scared to go up the wing, so i'd still much rather see Longridge at LB. .
  15. Great news, Scott Pittman has signed up for another season. Would've preferred a 2 year deal but at least he's still going to be here next season. Now we just need Liam Buchanan to sign up.
  16. Todorov scoring both goals tonight in our 2-0 win over Clyde in an U20's friendly, his 2nd was a penalty so hopefully he's on the pitch when we get our next pen and Buchanan doesn't take it.
  17. Not getting your points, mine was in response to JT saying it was madness having 4 or 5 strikers, Bollan had 5 all being used in games from Jan onwards. Knox has never been used as a striker and haven't seen Sommerville in the first team, Rafa hasn't been used as a striker either, he's played on the wing. Orr and Allen got a few sub appearances but didn't look up to much before going back to Morton and Hibs. Hopefully Toderov will be better.
  18. Fox is at Cowden for experience in management before going back to hearts, so he's going to get a lot of help from Hearts, and has connections to Livi too with him being here so long. Btw Bollan had Russell, Winters, Deuchar, Rafa and McNulty when we won this division in 2010/11.
  19. There's a recall clause in his loan deal for us to get him back if need be, just have to see how the Hearts player get on. Worse that can happen is the Loan player doesn't work out and we get Carrick back from Cowden a lot sharper after getting full games for them.
  20. Airdrie fans are jealous as feck of our Jan signings, poor c***s are desperate for some transfer activity themselves.
  21. I see from our twitter feed we had 2 trialists playing in the U20's Development game tonight, from the line up it looks like they are defenders, maybe we're still looking to sign more players, hopefully FB's and not more CB's.
  22. He's following Gary Bollan's plan of finishing the 2nd half of the league strong, we had Deuchar for the same kind of role this new signing is bringing, big strong striker. We also had Robbie Winters, Iain Russell and Mark McNulty that season.
  23. Looking forward to seeing Keaghan and Millar playing together, Millar looked good taking set pieces too which is something we've been needing. Our corners were murder on Saturday and with the tall CB's we have we should be a threat from set pieces.
  24. Worst fans on here when we came back up through the leagues were the Ayr Utd ones, thank feck they went up when we came down this season, windy lickers the lot of them. Think you've got it spot on with your starting 11 Andy, only thing i'm in two minds about is Carrick or Mullen to start with Buchanan, Carrick was on form before Mullen came back from his wrist injury and near scored for us again when he only got about 8 minutes against East Fife, would like to see him getting more game time.
  25. Flynn and Massone ruined it a long time before them. It was pretty good when the next ones came in (Livi 5) but it turned sour after they sacked Bollan and hasn't really recovered, too much off field shite has damaged fans trust in the board, and Rankine's shadow is still cast over the club. This season has been a lot better than the last two though and things have brightened up a bit, albeit we had the botch up against Crusaders when we played Lithgow in the mix up over his suspension. Still, my match day experience has picked up since the AS was leased to FC and it was done up, pre match drink and bite to eat with football games on the tellies again, and seeing us winning more games than we're losing is always good, with the added bonus of being top of the league. The quality of the pies and the prices in the serveries is a lot better now too since they dumped Lindleys and went in house with the catering, and got a local butcher from Broxburn to supply the pies..
