At this point I'm convinced you are trolling here.

On the actual content, I'm in agreement, an experienced defender and a right winger (preferably Fitzpatrick) appear the biggest needs to me.

Im hurt you would even suggest such a thing.

However, I am re-signed to the fact that I wont change your mind

Tbh, I'd be content with that midfield if we were in the Championship next season. I think we need another striker and a solid addition at the back. We're in a better position than I thought we'd be. Hopefully the boys gel quickly this season.

I think I counted 11 players still here from last season and 3 who've been at the club before. Hopefully, gelling shouldn't be an issue.

It would be interesting to know the last time we had so many players resign

Morrison can be thrown into that camp. Possibly mckay too. But boys are still young enough to settle and in the case of Quitongo (hopefully) just needs a manager that can get the best out of him. Wullie certainly comes across as a guy to motivate/ arm round the shoulder type.

I think Morrison sounds like he has potential, it's his fitness that is the issue. McKay time will tell certainly. One more defender and I'd probably be content with our lot there.

If that defender is Broadfoot or someone with similar experience, I would agree. I don't think we want to be bringing in any more young defenders

I'm really surprised you don't like a CDPR property... :P

You make good points though.  I can definitely see this being an acquired taste, particularly as it's basically a reskin of the Witcher in a number of places.  They only eventually got the inventory system right in W3 after a couple of years of updates, and the Cyberpunk one is similarly poor.  I know you end up picking up thousands of things, but when you're faced with a screen of hundreds of individual but very similar looking items, and then try to find the right one, it's pretty painful.

There's some good wee ideas in the game (that memory thing is a braindance, and was a good addition) but they're few and far between in a wide but shallow world.  Your one saving grace I guess is that the game is considerably shorter than W3, and the main storyline is probably one you can race to to "complete" the game and move on.

Ha! For the record, I like witcher 3. I have reasons for not going back to finish it but they're nothing to do with the game.

If you're not interested in the hacking and all that shit, give it up now.

Noted. Back to RDR2 it is then

  4. So, when does this get good? I hadn't played it for a while but went back to it the other night. Still feels a bit of a chore, like I'm learning all this hacking and shit that I know I'm never going to use. I just did something bit where I was watching someone memory, scanning it and stuff

Eta - oh, and the tiny text on the inventory and stuff is seriously doing my head in

Recently came back to RDR2 after not playing it for quite a while. Had been trying to not have it be the only game I play a lot of. I love it just as much and I'm still find new things across the map. I think it's actually ruined a lot of other games for me as I find there is no comparison. I know there was some who didn't like this game but it's honestly the best I've ever played and don't see it being beaten anytime soon, it's addictive. Anyone else have this reaction to it?

Yes, very much so. I havent got into a game at all since I played it.

I found a fewer interesting mods the other day, companion stuff and some new bounties, so I might try those out. Just deciding whether or not to start a new game

Do android boxes have remotes and are they decent?

My IPTV is run through an app on my phone, I loaded an 'external player' in (web video caster) and it casts to the same app on the TV through that.  It's perfectly fine but I guess it's a clunky way to do things.  I wont buy a firestick as I think they are boaby.

Yes, they come with remotes. There are some really good ones and some rubbish ones!

I'm not comparing the players though, because as you say, they're very different.

What I'm comparing is supporters having wanted two players to return to our side, on the basis of brief and limited evidence of an upturn in form.

It's a fair point. As others have said, the change in Fitzpatrick did seem to happen when Gibson took charge, so you would it's more likely to continue. He also has pace which, as we saw last time we played at this level, makes a massive difference. We need some pace in the team given who's already in the squad

Has anyone ever tried a custom OS on a firstick? Everything is very cluttered with Amazon crap and just poorly designed.

From a very quick Google it seems possible to get the Lineage variant of Android TV with a bit of jiggery pokery.

Why not just buy an android box?

Disappointed with the lack of signings in the last week, still nowhere near enough signed and the season starts 4 weeks on Saturday.

Seriously? Mind there will be trialists etc to look at. Done well so far.

And loan players too, who we wont get until later on.

As well as the players we've offered deals too there will be other offers out there that players will be sitting on and targets identified should offers be rejected.

I'd say we're in a pretty good place to be honest

Anybody know when the season starts?

Not sure. I think it's somewhere between 3 and 5 weeks.

Hell yeah! I'm sure he'll do us a decent turn, perhaps. Does he play on the right wing, aye?

Not sure he ever played wide for us. Was usually central, either as a striker, number 10 or in midfield.

I think that was part of his problem, it wasn't clear what his best position was.

Thought it was something like that but couldn't recall. Length of the episodes is really stretching my attention span.

You know its not compulsory to watch an episode in one sitting, right?

I see we are updating the player list on our website now. Wilson there already. It has Gibson as player/manager. Does that mean Gibson will be playing on next season?

When have we not updated the player list on the website?? Not only updating the player list but you can now buy player sponsorship online too :)

He'll be listed as a player manager until he comes out and says hes not playing anymore

Just watched the Obi-Wan premiere episodes. Was the most excited I've been for anything Star Wars related for a while now and these first two episodes are very encouraging. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I've got some thoughts on the two episodes but I'll put them in spoilers.

Was Leia appearing in the show common knowledge? It really caught me off guard, although I might just have not being paying enough attention to the build up news. If it was a secret then they've played a blinder, misleading us by showing young Luke and Uncle Owen in trailers etc given that they've actually had very little screen time so far.

Is it really plausible that Obi-Wan didn't know that Anakin is still alive? I know Tatooine's on the outer rim, and Obi-Wan's keeping his head down - wanting to hear as little about the Empire as he needs to. However, after 10 years surely some word about Darth Vader being out hunting the Jedi would have gotten around? He's informed enough to tell Leia that the Inquistors are fallen Jedi after all.

Loved Kumail Nanjiani as a con-artist Jedi impersonator. Expect we'll see him again before the series is finished.

The cameo from Temuera Morrison as an impoverished clone trooper veteran was a nice touch. Ewan McGregor plays the interaction with him really well; getting across pain, bitterness and then pity - all without any dialogue. It really doesn't add anything to the plot, but it's a strong little character moment.

I know he's denied it in interviews, but Liam Neeson is 100% appearing at some point as a force ghost. They've made a point of showing Obi-Wan calling out for his help in both episodes. My bet is he'll eventually show up when Obi-Wan needs some morale to stop running and go face Vader.

Speaking of which, not remotely surprised at the 2nd episode's ending. When they announced the series was launching with the first two episodes it was a safe bet that the latter episode would end on the first appearance of Vader. Just a little teaser to keep building hype for the show, and I am so on-board for it. That final shot of him in the bacta tank is genuinely menacing. It seems like they are not going to be shying away from showing just how unpleasant life in that armour is for what's left of the man Vader used to be.

I was wondering the same about Leia. It was a total surprise to me and I wondered if I'd missed something.

Brilliant first two episodes. Plus we now never have to wonder what would happen if they crossed Star Wars and Bladerunner

Any more takers? I've only had two entrants so far!

Sorry, it's a level of detail I would never remember when watching a show!

Something like, "were the cows small or far away?" , would be more my level.
