  1. I was expecting a match commentary seeing I couldnt manage down. Other teams' websites and updates are much better than ours - I've seen our updates half an hour behind the action. Pretty poor. Still, it hasnt diminshed that winning feeling!

Like Paco said, give them a chance to get home and have their tea. I love our website, and i for one will wait to be cheered up even more when i read about our great win.wink.gif

  2. "[I've only seen Baird a few times, but in each game he's pretty much always asking for the ball and if he doesn't receive it, he doesn't always bollock the other person for not passing to him, I just get the feeling he doesn't like to see an opportunity missed."

He did mention in his interview he was a bit selfish in wanting the ball and that Tade was not . Goal scorers always what the ball !!

Of course he does, if Baird thinks he's in a better position its obvious he'll want the ball. It kinda makes a change having a striker who wants to actually go for goal, don't you agree?

  3. Yeah, that figures out. That's yet another one of Davidson's annoying attributes.

I'm surprised he's lasted at the club all this time, I've never thought highly of him. Certainly one that has to go if we're to move forward.

But you know that will never happen though, he'll be offered a new 2 year contract at the end of this seasonsad.gif

  4. It appears Kevin Smith is available again, having turned down Notts County's offer of 1 year instead of 2. Explains the Dundee Utd tracksuit etc last night. We MUST try to sign him. Sell Williamson, increase the cost of the pies, don't cut the grass so much, whatever it takes. Sell Williamson anyway.

Why sign Kevin Smith, when we already have Jamie Goaly Moly. Plus we can't afford him, i think McGlynn has the team he wants

  5. Maybe people need to remember that it is only pre-season. Last year, we got knocked out of the challenge cup in the first round then things improved and had an average pre-season. Bearing in mind, the Pars have lost 5-1 this preseason, Falkirk got knocked out the cup too and Dundee were a metaphorical bawhair off the same fate. People might also have inflated expectations: we get decent crowds and started well last year and had our cup run but we've still got a smaller budget than the majority of teams in the league.

Obviously we'd all like to see things changed tactically but that is a problem which is more difficult to solve (e.g. Simmons + Davidson= lack of midfield) The only thing we can do is get right behind the squad, give them support and do what we should be doing. I know its hard but itswhat needs to be done.

So as a reward for getting to the Scottish cup semi final, and finishing comfortably above the Giants of Inverclyde our budget was lowered. I mean what is it with McGlynn and his penchant for signing lower league players. Hill has been the only success so far.

  6. Hill has reminded me of a young Shaun Dennis this season. Prone to moments of rashness but will happilly go through his granny to win the ball.

Real prospect we have there in my opinion.

Totally agree, i was going to say a Shaun Dennis that can actually run. Anyway, dropping Dougie would be a travesty, if anything i think Ellis would be benched before Hill.

  7. Leeds drew 1-1 with carlisle scott dobie scoring for carlisle.

Charlton lost 3-0 so 3points in front going into saturdays game.

Jeez you'd think they won the cup, singing, smashing beer bottles and making total cocks of themselves as they passed my flats last night. Buggers :P

  8. I have to say that was never offside, keep watching it on SSN. In reality though, it was a good performance and they were extremely unlucky, if they play like that for the rest of the season they can hopefully go all the way. The attendance was over 38,000, not bad for a midweek cup game, ok it was Liverpool but still.
