  1. Neither of us know as we are both assuming, you all will be alright on the night, and me that all will not be right on the night.

The point i was making is can we afford to risk losing at the first leg of a potential good extra income for the club.

I think your underestimating McG's knowledge of the game. From what i've read and seen lately is that Dundee are the only team spending cash willy nilly, no-one else from what i gather from a signing viewpoint has impressed me. So i think you're worrying over nothing, basically the aim for this season is survival. Ok we might be mostly part-time, but i truly feel we can cope.

  2. I am worried that Mglynn is putting too much emphasis on the use of Under 19s.

Bryce for one didnt look anywhere near good enough for the 2nd Division next season, Im just a bit concerend as to how Mcg is going to change that.

The emphasis being that the under 19's will be playing in the reserves, so it'll give McGlynn a better understanding of their capabilities at a higher and more advanced level. If the rumours were indeed true that Rangers were watching Bryce, then obviously McGlynn can see that he is improving all the time.

  3. Theres a difference between financial constraints and shutting the bank.

I cant think of a team in this division that wont bring a decent support to games. I just fail to see why we are so light on proven players. And this nonsense with Marvin Andrews is pathetic. We should give him a time limit, say another 3 days, and if he doesnt sign by then, let him go.

Theres a proven spl goal scorer looking for part time football, yet we are told its probably a loan striker we will go for.

    Hello division 2 in 2010/2011

Come on Numbers, you seriously think Lovell would come to Starks. I don't think so, i think i'm of the mind that McGlynn will make good use of the limited funds he has.

You're right about Marv though, a time limit is essential. We can't have anybody dangling an unreachable carrot in front of us.

I think you're underestimating our chances, no-one except Dundee has made any significant mindblowing signings.

  4. Agree with all of this. I'd be very disappointed in McGlynn if he hasn't learned from the Andy Tod deal.

It's been the talk of Kirkcaldy for a few weeks now! It was discussed in this thread a few weeks back. Couldn't ask for a more reliable tale. (but aye, it's pish)

Just don't think for a second we could afford Deuchar and Novo, McCord is within our reach and would be a good signing, everyone seems to rate him highly and is abit more believable if you ask me.

  5. I heard he was friends with a Dunfermline fan. MCGLYNN OUT!

But, erm, aye, all sorts of rumours flying about at the moment on who's signing for us - Ryan McCord, Scott Thomson and, surprisingly, Kenny Deuchar being the main ones. What other big name signings are we in for? It was good to see Novo sign off on a high with Rangers yesterday, I heard he's signing that three year deal on Monday.

Really? Or have i been Whooshed. Haw i'm down in Leeds dinnae dae this to me, i almost believed you :(

    Thomson can get tae.....though :P

  6. Thats what I was thinking. As good a player as Beckford is, Delph has proper star quality (although how much can you really tell from a season in League One).

Sorry lads but my team of choice down here is Everton, i don't give 2 shites about LUFC.

  7. We aint no big club at the moment. We may have a fan base for being a big club but we dont have the players and that is where it counts on the pitch not the terracings.

Where's the money going then? The Leeds fanbase is premiership sized and still bring in mediochre players, i know league 1 isn't exactly glitz and glam but a club of that size should atleast be bringing in some quality. 2 players really stand out for me Beckford and Becchio and thats it, so where do Leeds go from here?
