  1. Sorry mate we didn't make the rules and we are hardly going to say no to a trip to Europe. Although a bit hypocritical what you posted, you didn't win the national trophy you won the secondry one so who got in the back door on that occasion? To be fair we can bicker like this on a forum all day. It's not really worth it.

A secondry one, you would have loved to have won, so get tae f**k wi that patter. My bad Celtic put out a reserve team that day, ok you win

  2. I am not going to lie we have went down from our SPL top six days, cup finals (won't mention Europe as that was a disaster). And you guys seem to have finally to have got over the Anelka times. I have no problem treating you like any other club that plays in the same league as us.

We actually won a cup to get to Europe, not through the glorious runners up way.

  3. I luckily wasn't on the news (for long) I ended up screaming like a mad woman at his two pals(??) I don't know if they understood our language but they got the drift & backed away from their master & hid round the corner. Just going down to the stadium for more now, I'm quite enjoying this part. If we are dying I'm going down kicking and screaming. :P

    You go girl :)

  4. Emmm..............luckily for you too as you no longer have anything like 10,000 useable seats. Listen, you collected your 900k for whoever it was, and built your two stands. Great. But there was no business plan behind it. It was cost but no dependable revenue generator. Now, if you believe your version of our history is the accurate one, then doubtless you are equally open to the accusation that Raith Rovers willingly became a vehicle for money laundering of drug generated cash. Fair?

Unfortunately, that is a fair assessment. We've had our fair share of dodgy c***s run our club.

And we have paid with our dearest blood, so in essence we got what we deserved.

  5. To be fair, he's absolutely right. The decision to roll over and accept unreasonable minimum requirements was probably the major decision that that board got wrong.

We weren't in a position to argue with the ruling, that was my understanding. Every team was told if they wanted to play in the premier league, the 10,000 seating arrangement was not negotiable.

  6. Quite.

I feel sorry for Ayr in all this. Their chairman was busy building all these SPL complient stadia whilst neglecting his own side. Actually, I don't feel bad for Ayr at all. They are still in existence while the sides that chased the 10K dream drift further and further up shit creek.

Dae talk fucking pish, Raith Rovers FC whilst still in the Premier league were told to build our 10,000 plus all seated stadium during the 95/96 season, which we did to comply with that ruling. That alone nearly bankrupted us, so going by your logic we chased that dream, f**k right off. Every aspiring team in the 1st was chasing that dream, but had to comply to the criteria. Weren't Falkirk an aspiring team at that time, and why didn't you do the same. But luckily for you the ruling changed to 6000.

  7. We could do with another forward in the squad anyway. Thereafter I obviously want McGlynn to judge players on their merits, if I thought for a minute he was judging them by some other criteria and favouring and SPL striker over a homegrown player just because they were from the SPL then of course I'd be annoyed. I've not seen any reason to suppose he'd be that daft.

There is a plethora of strikers waiting to be snapped up, ok maybe plethora is a bit strong but there is players out there with a degree of talent looking for clubs. I'll name 2

Steve Lovell, too dear i know, but we have to speculate that little bit due to increased gates this season, Ok i'm being speculative about that ;)

Simon Lynch, a player i'd have at Starks. Good pedigree, knows the 1st division etc.

I liked Pantene's counter post, about bringing in a striker who is the same age as Bryce, this is hardly fair on our own player. The fact that he has produced some quality and isn't showing fear, McGlynn simply will not feature him as a starter, i think the boy deserves a chance.

  8. I know that won't go down well with the decent Livingston fans who post on here and it's nothing personal against them. It wasn't the fans that were fucking over the opposition as they clambered their way to the SPL and silverware. I'm just glad that karma has finally proved itself.

That's the name of the game, every team in Scotland has in the past and present shat on everybody else to get to where they are. You only have to look at Falkirk, they were refused entry to the SPL because of the shite hole that was Brockville. Falkirk made sure they had all the best players that season and won the league, just to spite everyone else. Nobody went up and nobody went down, congratulations p***k.

  9. Bryce hasn't been a sensation, but he's done enough from what I've seen to deserve his chance.

You see the part in my post that say's "bit of a" because McGlynn will be using him as a bit part player, thus meaning he would rather prefer using youth's from SPL teams rather than home grown talent. I'm amazed Jimmy Lindsay isn't going off his nut.

  10. bryce has done well in his short time on the pitch so far and maybe he does deserve a shout, however how can you tell from bloody leeds

ps saying in previous posts that maybe mcglynn should be sacked is just ridiculous

pps hope the swine flu clears your thinking :D

Updates mostly, from what i gather Bryce has been a bit of a sensation. Anyway i didn't say that McGlynn should be sacked, he'll be judged by the BoD's this season, not everything escapes their attention.

Jeez, these drugs are really strong. I should lie down

  11. I was surprised by Hislop's release too, I can only assume it was for fitness reasons. If he was likely to stay fit for the season then yes, he would have been very useful to have around.

Thanks for that, the guy did everything right in his rehab to full fitness. also his experience to the youngsters would have been invaluable. Lee Bryce and Tam Graham are the future, they are chapping at the bit to get out there and they should get that chance, Tbh Bryce is ready.

  12. Either Wardlaw or Hislop would have been adequate back up for this season.

I just cant see Tade scoring. He's looked lively and dangerous, right up untill the final third.

I'll be open and honest, McGlynn was too hasty getting rid of Hislop. He hasn't replaced him with anyone, Tade and Williamson are NOT strikers. I've been looking at fantalk and a few guy's are talking about managerial casualties, and they reckon that Crawford might get the bullet. Who's to say that McGlynn might not get his jotters before him, he hasn't strengthened the team to withstand the pressure's of the 1st. I feel we have gone backwards, rather than going forward. I know money is the big factor but he sat on his hands for too long and relied heavily on the fact that Tade will come good in the striking department, i'd feel a bit better if he played Bryce from the start. Instead of another young striker from an SPL team, that to me would destroy my confidence. How is Bryce going to get a chance if the gaffer prefers a youth player from the top league.

BTW if this makes no sense at all, i apologise. I'm doped up due to swine flu :(

  13. I see no evidence whatsoever that last season's squad would have won that game.

Are you sure, we are consiberably weaker than we were. The club have no money to strengthen. Bryce didn't get a sniff of a game last season, but now he's played more games this pre season than he did in a year. But this is just my opinion, i don't speak for everyone. McGlynn's blind faith in Davidson is making me mad as hell, he's by far the worst player to grace the club since Jack Perry.

  14. We have serious problems, Why is McGlynn so intent on giving that fucking bawbag Davidson the time of day. Pure and simple he does not deserve to be on the pitch let alone captain our team, just because his name is always first on the team sheet he thinks is now infallable. Play shite, still get a game. Hopefully this was a blip and now we can go and cement our place in the first, i do realise we are a weaker team than we were last year, but thats just my opinion. I sincerely hope McGlynn knows what he's doing.

  15. Tbh its just the diddy cup, and it was Stirling Albion, they've held a hoodoo curse over us for years. In all seriousness i'm really worried about our chances this season, We have no striker and we have Iain Davidson as captain. McGlynn has to bring in a loanee, the longer we leave it the worse its going to get. If its true about Walker and Campbell squabling in a diddy cup, how are they going to react when we get destroyed in Dumfries :(
