    Thank you. As I said I hadn’t read the thread, or indeed much of the whole Tartan Army ramblings. It was actually my dad’s idea, he’s 90! He played at a very high level, and knows more about the game than anyone I’ve ever met We clash constantly about most things (he’s a Conservative voter) but he’s very insightful about footie. Now you know!

    I think that’s a bit of a keyboard warrior response to be honest. No need to be quite so aggressive. We’ve no decent strikers, we’ve a surfeit of really good midfielders. It was a discussion point. To me he is more likely to do a better job up front than at centre half and he’s been played there plenty of times. Especially against superior teams when we need to be solid he could certainly play as the most advanced midfielder.

    I read it somewhere but even if it has, does that matter? The guy scores goals, has a decent first touch. Dykes and Adams don’t score goals. I’m a big fan of Shankland but his lack of pace is a wee bit of an issue.

    Haven’t read the thread so apologies if this has been said but given the predicament we are in I think McTominay is worth a punt up top. Started his career there, works his arse off, has a physical presence and has a real eye for a goal, instinctive even. Ordinarily I wouldn’t suggest it but we have a surplus of midfielders and Dykes and Adams are bang average (at best).

    We’re all entitled to our opinion but I often watch the away stream when I can’t make the game (like tonight, in Manchester, but I’m not shagging Biggy). Sure they seem like nice guys but utterly clueless.

    Been on holiday for a week so just catching up. ‘Numbers’ meltdown has to be the highlight, followed closely by that fish munching cunto.

    A wee ’sorry Spuddy’ would’ve been nice!! Only kidding. he trained all last season with us so he should be plenty used to a higher level of training by now. I don’t think he’s been quite as good as you think he has, not crap you understand, but it’s often a bit easier to come on against tiring defences and look half decent for 5 minutes. Clearly the Doc thinks he needs this and in the Doc I trust.

    During all our financial issues Sainties fans have continually held the Dundee supporters culpable, that we somehow looked the other way because we were desperate for success. By this logic you should be up at the McDiarmid with your pitchforks demanding answers. If anyone thinks Geoff Brown is going to leave a single penny behind that the new owners could asset strip they are totally deluded. He will take the lot, shirt, simmet and drawers, and you can easily see how he would think he's entitled to.

    Cameron is a better player than Tiffoney imo. Costelloe has looked good in flashes but I’d rather we played one of our own guys so I’d have Cameron over him too. I would like to see Boateng and Sylla together again but I reckon he’ll go with the same starting 11 again, if all fit.

    Agree re Bakayoko and again re Joe. He had a couple of dodgy games but he is a leader of men. On Saturday Donnelly was constantly looking for him on Saturday.

On his debut for us just after new year (he was brilliant) he was getting interviewed by Chick Young. You’ve got a black eye, how did that happen said Chick. I got first fitted was the reply.
