I’m certainly not criticising Dodgson, in fact I think he looks decent on the ball. He’s played more at LB through his (short) career so it’s a big ask throwing him at CH, owing to injuries. I don’t think Donnelly has looked that great in his few starts either but they’re both young lads at the start of their careers. Neither starts if both are fit.

I can assure you that nobody chases Boredomguy around the forum. He spends his entire life on other teams forums attempting to wind up their fans. Every player they sign is shite, or they are paying them double what Sainties offered (he knows what every player in Scotland is earning). If you act like that you get what you deserve no matter how much white knighting you give him. With regard to the game, disregarding Sainties recent cup successes, I have the fear. We have been a bit unlucky of late but we are playing some really decent football. We should really cruise this, a straightforward win by 2 goals. However real life doesn’t always work out that way.

I’d settle for him avoiding our ‘own’ thread for a couple of months. When he went into hiding after he upset someone on X (or somewhere) it was total bliss. No self awareness. He’s a bit like the boss in the office, thinks everyone actually likes him when in reality everyone thinks he’s a weirdo tosspot.

We clearly planned to soak up the pressure and hit St Mirren on the break - it worked well for 70 plus minutes until the Carson howler. If that had been he who cannot be named I’d have been going bat shit but Trev was fantastic up until then. Catching crosses, coming through a forest of bodies to punch the ball miles, and several decent and competent stops. On another night Beck scores, or we get that penalty which to me was nailed on. A lot of tough games, mostly away from home, in a short space of time. 10th was the goal after all but I still think we’ll finish top 6.

I suppose coming from Glasgow it shouldn’t surprise me but it’s amazing how quickly this lot have become all ‘Old Firmy’.

Not really at it tonight, and St Mirren deserved to win, but if the Beck penalty was correctly awarded, or the handball that was far worse than Ashcroft’s on Saturday it’s possibly a different result. VAR and poor reffing not helping us.

Hopefully they get Thistle in the playoffs again and Partick get revenge.

This is why Sylla needs to be brought on (imo he should start). He’s the best tackler in the squad and if doesn’t win the ball he stops the move.

To me he’s not as shite as he was painted. Has had some decent touches offensively but is naive in defence. When the squads fit he doesn’t start and probs doesn’t get subbed on either.

The penalty also affected Ashcroft’s confidence. When Shankland was dancing about him for the 3rd he would normally have just smashed the c**t and given away a free kick. Hopefully lesson learned.
