  1. I was at all those games TCM. He gave Tosh a real fright. What a player Tosh was - do you agree that Beck’s style is very similar to Tosh’s though? What would McKinlay be worth now the way FB’s and WB’s are valued in the modern game?
  2. Must take him ages to deliver the mail - he was as slow as a week in the jail. That said he was a very skilful player and would walk into our team now. If you see him tell him a Dundee fan remembers him fondly.
  3. Very difficult to get the ball past those ears.
  4. Ha ha. Very good player though, like a Poundland Owen Beck.
  5. That genuinely made me laugh out loud. The missus said ‘what are you laughing at’, so I told her and she laughed out loud too. Must be very funny, believe me.
  6. Graham Harvey in there too. Another HiDees ‘legend’.
  7. If this game is off Hearts need to be kicked out the league and Ann Budge publicly flogged. Ridiculous, pub team stuff.
  8. The Sun’s take on the Rudden situ - ‘FORMER Rangers star Zak Rudden has been told he can leave Dundee by manager Tony Docherty, it's being claimed.’ lol.
  9. He also signed Martin Woods, Craig Curran and that Herbalife fud Andrew Davies*. So I wouldn’t put too much stock into Jim’s ability to pick a player. *sorry to any Dee who successfully obliterated those jobbers names from their memories.
  10. Indeed. Thanks for your efforts Dodger, now fųck off back home.
  11. It’s pishing down right now. Can the pitch recover in time?
  12. Also re-watching the game again this morning hanging Castelloe out to dry for the first goal is a bit harsh. He tries to play the ball back to McCowan and a Killie player gets a toe to his pass and deflects it to another Killie lad. A bit unlucky. However if Ledzgins comes out as he should and claims the ball it’s panic over. The second one well his man gets in front of him. The pundits on Sportscene make Mulligan slightly culpable but for me that’s a bit harsh. In his defence he’s 2 minutes into his debut and we’re 1 down, he’s a young lad - it’s a lot of pressure. For me a top class keeper has a chance because it’s not in the corner but there’s no hope of Ledzgins getting there.
  13. Everyone knows my soft spot for Cammy and there’s no point regurgitating all that stuff. I make 2 points - 1) No matter what you think of him he is not singularly responsible for our shite form over the last 8 years. 2) Despite his limitations and anyone’s take on them he has never ever downed tools. He gives of his best (such as it is) in every game. Given all that, now he’s leaving I think we should leave it at wishing him all the best for the rest of his career/life and not rip him up for shite paper.
  14. A very good post which I entirely agree with. I personally would punt Robinson back home. He scored a decent number of goals and looked like he could develop in his first spell up to Xmas last season. Since then he’s got progressively less effective and does not offer much at all. I would rather retain Rudden but neither are good enough.
  15. We all see it differently but Sylla starts on Tuesday for me, a no brainer.
  16. Ludo - I know how fucking disappointing it is to drive to Killie and get beaten, I’ve done it on numerous occasions down the years, and to Ayr and to Dingwall so I can genuinely understand you being upset but I think you’re over reacting. Docherty is building something, I’ve no doubt about it, but first and foremost to make progress we have got to stay in this division, and that’s far from a given. Clearly we have a lot of niggling injuries that hampered us today and if the Doc rested some as a precaution I’m 100% behind that, he knows much resting them today was required and I trust his judgement. Yes a cup run would be tremendous but in order to have a real chance of going to the semis etc (not by fluke) we are at least a year out. He needs another window to empty some more shite and replace with upgrades. After the first 2 minutes we actually played not too badly. I thought Sylla, Mulligan and McCowan did well, Costelloe was reasonably promising going forward and Bakayoko put in a shift. Bring on the Hearts.
  17. After seeing us play Killie 3 times this season I can’t see them finishing above us.
  18. Agree with all of that. Tiffoney looks like a championship player. McGhee is getting right on my tits, a waste of skin. The final ball is not good enough. Far too often the first defender cuts it out. Despite all that we were the better team for the last 88 minutes.
  19. Or he shat it ala Kelvin Jack. Re-watching it, for the first, a good keeper come out screaming my ball and smothers it. The second is a totally unmarked header but with his reactions, he’s never getting it. With Lamie and Portales out I guess it was Ashcroft or throw Astley in and he went for experience.
  20. Pretty much my thoughts but Sharp has had a couple of decent saves and has looked much better than that other reject. Like you I thought Costelloe looked half decent on the ball. Onwards in the league.
  21. Lol - we see it differently! We really should be level given the chances we’ve created.
  22. Probably controversial but other than the first couple of minutes I think Costelloe has been better than Howley.
