  1. I watched AI last night. I'm watching Minority Report right now. All I can conclude with any certainty is that Steven Spielberg can't direct sci-fi.
  2. I didn't realise James Milner was still alive, never mind playing for Liverpool.
  3. Given his history with consensual interactions you may need to rephrase this.
  4. I came on to the thread to make some sort of The Thick of It comparison to what Forbes has done. She's managed to outdo herself in the fourteen hours since I was last online. A genuinely astonishing turn of affairs. It would be impressive if it wasn't for something so important.
  5. Roald Dahl: Rishi Sunak joins criticism of changes to author's books - BBC News Dahl's estate and publisher said works including The BFG and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory had been updated to be more suitable for modern audiences. Game's gone. Is anyone here going to try and defend this?
  6. Leicester have won five trophies. Rodgers won one of those. What else is to be expected?
  7. Now I know how fans of managerless clubs feel when they look at these polls and see John Hughes as a viable option.
  8. This diver should be done for wasting police time.
  9. Last week in the cup, Rangers scored a goal against Partick Thistle when Malik Tillman, who had been off receiving treatment, ran on and won the ball back and scored while the Thistle defender was trying to return the ball to Rangers when play was resumed. Hilarity ensued, and Michael Beale subsequently told his team to let Thistle score. This is the sort of incident in football that actually has some recent history - Marcelo Bielsa told his Leeds team to do the same thing a few years ago: To me, so far, so heartening. In a sport full of cynicism and cheating, the idea of sportsmanship in response to an honest mistake is something to be admired. It appears some Rangers fans would disagree It's an unusual situation. What would you want your club to do - really? I've kept the votes anonymous so everyone can be honest.
  10. I didn't realise we had partitioned India. I suppose our fondness of curry should have made it obvious
  11. Week 7 update One death this week, Raquel Welch: Raquel Welch obituary | Film | The Guardian For an actor whose endearing image is one of sex appeal, it appears that she had no time for directors or other actors who saw her purely as a sex object. How ironic then that the most memorable moment of her career was a man looking into her hole: Welch died at 82 so she's worth 43 Base Points for @get_the_subbies_on and @paulathame, with a Deadly Duo making that 68 points each. As a result, the standings look like this: 1. buddiepaul 194 2. psv_killie 185 3. JustOneCornetto 181 4. peasy23 165 5. The DA 153 6. Desp, Ned Nederlander 151 8. get_the_subbies_on 138 9. 12. The Bald Fraud having a bad one with his team unable to finish against a newly promoted team having to draft in emergency centre backs and goalkeeper. Also quite funny watching England's Rose Phil Foden fall on his arse when he was clean through on goal.
  13. This was so stupid I had to watch it twice before I realised what had happened. I was waiting for a foul. Chortle.
  14. Kenny getting perilously close to pointing out that the entire concept of organised football in Scotland is pointless so long as the Old Firm are there
  15. It's a bit that's been going for about eight years at this point by my count. Amazed it still gets bites.
  16. Maybe I'm used to mopping stuff up in games, maybe it was everything being in blue detect-o-vision, maybe it was constantly trying to get the camera to point at the ledges I was supposed to grapple to, it just did nothing for me by that point. By the time you reach the post-game you realise how small the world is and all the mystery's gone.
  17. Knowing basically nothing of Forbes outside what I read on here, I think my question would be if there's worry about how her religious beliefs would influence her policies, why is she in the party that has the policies the SNP has had in her time there?
  18. I am still yet to see any evidence that "James Melville" is a real person.
