  1. Can not believe Houston is getting mentioned! He was hopeless at Falkirk and did nothing but deride this Livi team!
  2. Cannot stand Neilson so hopefully he will have already accepted the St Mirren job by then! i have a feeling that Hoppy will stay! Fingers crossed!
  3. I can see that is a possibility. I would be surprised if a team from a bigger league doesn’t take a chance on him though. Would love to keep him next season. It expect that will only happen if we go up (and even then he might get a better move).
  4. I imagine that MCL has just picked this up from Companies House. Appointment Terminated just means that they have filed the necessary forms to terminate their directorship. Does not indicated in any way whether they did so of their own will or whether they were required to so do by one of the shareholders. Does this mean that Gordon McDougall is no longer director of Livingston Football Club - I can't quite remember if Livingston 5 is just the company that holds the shares in Livi FC (rather than being the club itself).
  5. Don't think that is Mevlja I thought he was a very good footballer (he played in champions league qualifier stages I believe) but is not very pacey.
  6. I would expect that there will be a clause in any contract he might have signed with Livi that allows the club to terminate without compensation if he is found guilty. Seems a long time since the incident in question (April 2013 from a quick look at online articles) - any idea why it has taken so long for the case to come to trial?
  7. Words fail me... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/rangers/2012/07/01/craig-burley-column-sending-newco-ranger-to-division-three-will-kill-scottish-game-86908-23903059/ Apologies if already posted - had a look at a few pages and didn't see is.
  8. I think Chris Smith is an excellent signing for Falkirk. I've seen him loads over the past couple of seasons as Livi have played Ayr an inordinate amount of times in league and cups and he has been a stand-out for Ayr in pretty much all of those games. Reckon he will do well for you.
  9. It is almost the same at Livi and we have loads of scouts week in week out too. Our youngsters have been in the side for 2 or 3 seasons now so are 19/20 rather than 16/17 but it is a lovely feeling to be producing talent and it is the way smaller clubs must go in my opinion. You will also find, as we have, that by giving the kids a chance in the first team more parents of talented kids will prefer them to go to the Falkirk acadamy/Livi youth team than, say, even the OF. I know the parents of one of our star youngsters and he turned down Rangers citing the examples of Snodgrass, Dorrans, McPake, Halliday etc as why the Livi route was preferable. Sorry to go a wee bit OT but, although the reliance on your kids might be enforced, it could/should be the best thing that has happened to you as a club.
  10. Probably posting this in entirely the wrong place but just wanted to say well done to the bairns for the cup win against Rangers tonight. Love to see the SFL teams topple the SPL teams....particularly the old firm. Sounds like a hugely exciting finish too (going on the bbc text updates!). Downside is that El Alagui will have a few more suitors... Makes our late-penalty-dropped-points from the other week seem a wee bit more palatable!!
  11. Steady on....I have seen no evidence that Morton and Hamilton will fight it out for the title. I expect both to be in the mix but several other teams will have a say in how this all finishes up at the end of the season. Don't forget that second half at Cappielow against Livingston...we were wasteful in front of goal but created a bundle of chances and you were a tad fortunate to take all three points.
  12. Morton have been the best team we have played this season so far and we have played Morton, Hamilton, Dundee, Falkirk and Queens. Definitely in with a shout, I reckon.
