  1. Mulholland Drive Typically unfathomable David Lynch stuff but absolutely enthralling just the same. 2 and a half hours long but felt like half that - sign of a great film in my opinion. 9/10
  2. Saw IV The plot and puzzles seem to be getting more contrived and confusing as each film goes by. Still, for Hallowe'en, with a big bag of munchies and a beer it was thoroughly enjoyable stuff. What this one did do was give a back story to the Jigsaw but, by the same token, opened up a new branch of characters for what looks like becoming an annual event - V is in cinemas now and VI is in either production or post-producton. Still, musn't grumble - 7/10
  3. Can of Miller. Not too cold cos then it loses all it's taste.
  4. Idlewild - American English followed by- Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark
  5. Oldboy (2003) Korean mystery thriller about a man who is suddenly released after 15 years of captivity, not knowing who, or why, but determined to find out. First Korean film I've seen but seemed to have a lot of Hollywood and Jpanese elements to it. Whatever. Fantastic - 9/10
  6. Eddie Vedder - All the Way (song written especially for the Chicago Cubs)
  7. I am Sam (2001) Absolutely superb. Sean Penn is amazing from start to finish and Michelle Pfeiffer is better looking than ever. Dakota Fanning shows more talent in this film as a 7 year old than some actors have done in their entire careers. 10/10!
  8. Quality tune. Scars on Broadway - Babylon
  9. 3:10 to Yuma. The Russell Crowe/Christian Bale remake. Had a bit much of a moral subplot for my liking but other than that thoroughly enjoyed it. 8/10
  10. American Beauty Kevin Spacey is fantastic, he really is. And the characted he plays is a legend - doing what every middle-aged man would probably, secretly love to do - tell their boss to shove his job up his arse, tell the wife she's a "cold-blooded, money-grubbing freak" and generally get their life back. 9/10
  11. Pink Floyd - Set the controls for the heart of the Sun
  12. Kenny (2006) - 8/10 Undoubtedly the best Portaloo mockumentary ever made!
