"Star drop another 2 points", or Star gained a point against a rejuvenated Leith side unbeaten at home since November!!!
St Andrews are in the driving seat, no doubt, but you appear inconsistent of late. Look forward to seeing you at Nitten next week!
Good, positive thinking, but Dunipace, St Andrews, Camelon and Whitburn will see it as Star dropping 2 points.

If memory serves me correct, Linlithgow and Whitburn have met before in a Centenary Cup Final?
I believe the game was held at Tynecastle for East Region Juniors Centenary and Whitburn won 2-1
85-86 season. Whitburn 4 Linlithgow 2 at Tynecastle.

Absolutely. We had several players missing last night.
And our next two games are against teams that will be challenging for promotion so it doesn’t get any easier.
So you don't think Whitehill (your next game) will be in the hunt?

They want to get licensed and they can't do that at Old Shielfield as they can't get floodlights there. They will keep the ground for their youth teams though.
Where will they be training?

Mate we had to go to lochee and Carnoustie midweek so don't give us that pish
Glad your happy with long midweek journeys. Don't you think they would have been better on a Saturday?

Said absolutely noone. You couldn't even find out who you were playing some weeks
That's almost true, apart from the bit about not knowing who you were playing each week, but it also made it easier for the person making up the fixtures to make sure that teams weren't sent on long midweek journeys because the other fixtures weren't carved in stone, and could be re-arranged more easily.

One bad situation? Here's another example. In the Juniors the away team in a cup-tie received a share of the gate or if that wasn't enough then they'd receive a guarantee. You could be drawn away from home in all cup-ties (with the exception of the South Challenge Cup) and get hee-haw but you've got to pay travel expenses to players taking their cars or the bus hire.
The juniors used to have the home team keeping all the gate, but it was changed when teams complained because they were missing out on a share of big gates at the likes of Linlithgow, Whitburn, Bo'ness etc.
Doesn't look very good for the EOS regarding the points deductions. Surely all the teams should be checked before issuing the final table.

In WOSFL Div 4, Thorn Athletic were a whisker away from being ejected from the league for pulling out of their last game of the season down in Campbeltown. It was only when league received character references from other Div 4 teams that they got a fine. It was their first and only offence
This is much more serious and if club are a multiple offender stronger sanctions seem applicable.
Could take a while. Still haven't seen any disciplinary action against the ex-Syngenta officials after they made a mockery of the league.

Burntisland Shipyard are RELEGATED
Coldstream are RELEGATED
Kinnoull's hopes were dashed at the death as Dunbar came from behind to land the title... Glenrothes had collapsed and Luncarty were always decidedly long odds. Congratulations to Seasiders.
Burntisland's recent form deserted them as they capitulated home to Rosyth. That left a shootout in Berwickshire: where in astonishing circumstances and despite 10-man Coldstream leading 3-0 early-doors Lochore struck 4 times to survive.Sympathy for the relegated teams, but at least it will save the EOS the headache of making sure Whitburn travel to Coldstream on a winter midweek.

Well done The Burnie. Worthy Champions. Looking forward to celebrating on Saturday.

Isn't that roughly what the EoS fixtures try to do. Bundle up groups of 4 that are closest for international weekends/holidays to maximise turnout?
I don't think they pay too much attention to geography or they wouldn't have had 3 attempts at scheduling Whitburn to visit Hawick in midweek.

Well done The Burnie, winning promotion with 6 games to go. Great achievement and well deserved. Let's finish the job now.

They did lose the league because all of their players were all off the park celebrating the winner when Syngenta equalised. I’m not sure you can say they weren’t good enough
That was hilarious though.
Not true. It may have cost them promotion, it didn't cost them the league.

Can Syngenta please take their players and managers back - they're all useless?!
Maybe they just don't feel any allegiance to Camelon.

Syngenta players were all cup tied yesterday so Camelon had to play 5 under-20s - what a shambles. Well done and good luck to St Andrews
In that case they have my sincere sympathy.

I'm not sure it's that much of a shock win- St Andrews have been going well in their league and Camelon haven't been recently.
Your right, St Andrews beat Syngenta earlier in the season.

Can't understand why they're not being docked points for not fulfilling fixtures. Irrespective of the final outcome, that was the precedent set with Burntisland Shipyard.

Players are contracted to the club, not the manager. If he was to leave the club tomorrow players couldn't surely just up sticks and leave, they would have to see out the remainder of their contract with the club or be transfer listed for a fee. A new manager coming in might not even want those players anyway and would be happy to cash in on them and pull his own side together.
If Chris King did say this about his players, its a bit of an arrogant statement to make and I can see why this threat would hit a nerve with nitten supporters.
Didn't work like that at Syngenta.

Great result for a depleted Dunipace against New Syngenta this evening.
Have Camelon won a game since they were taken over?
