I genuinely don't give a shite about Perth St Johnstone and see you as another diddy club alongside the Livi etc. That might be hard to accept since you lot seem to hold a grudge against Dundee. Whether it's because of a big City being on the doorstep of your smalltime hovel or it's been passed down the generations since 1962 i really don't know, maybe you can tell me?

On the day of your Scottish cup triumph againt the DABs i was doing cartwheels and maybe sadly felt great happiness that the filth hadn't won. On the day of your cup winning double many Dees including me said fair play in what was a great achievement for a Diddy club.

I'd put the likes of the Hamilton as more detestable than Perth Saints. You lot are purely diddies who are going through a great spell in your history. All things come to an end though as i've told plenty of teams before - look at your Inverness, Cowdenbeath and Hamilton.

Dundee are favourites for the drop and anything but a Saints win would confirm to many that the time has come for Perth to go back to Championship football where they belong and close the chapter of relative success for a period of struggle and diddyness. Its been a long time coming to be fair and credit to the Saints in many ways. The outnumbering of the home fans is a glimpse that some things will never change however.

    Thank you.

The below is pretty much where I’m at, obviously before the game you had the “what if?” Excitement, but in reality anyone that expected anything different is on cloud cuckoo land.

Was our defending utterly crap? Yes, did Youan, our star player have the worst game of his Hibs career? Yes.

The two points really didn’t help us but even if we were at our best it would have probably been a similar scoreline.

The reasons for this aren’t because of Lee Johnson and I’m not exactly his number 1 fan, they aren’t because of a “Hibsing,” it’s because of Sky Sports, the financial doping and the competitiveness being taken away from football.

Some dreadful takes in this thread however none are worse than this one:

A fan of *checks profile* St Johnstone.

If the thought of a trip down to Birmingham with all your mates with probably another 5k+ of your fellow supporters to be spent in the pubs is to be pitied then you’re following the wrong sport.

I suppose as a St Johnstone fan you’ve never had the opportunity to have such an experience so that may be a factor.

Hopefully Villa play the kids and we can at least get a goal or something to celebrate to give us our moment.

All in all it’s been a brilliant experience this season being in Europe, 6 matches, 2 more than expected and beating a team we were expected to lose to based on seedings and bookies odds.

See you again next season @EuropaConferenceLeague.

I’ve seen us win in Trondheim, draw in Lucerne and lose to a very good Monaco side so I do know what it’s like to follow my team in Europe.

It should have been double figures last night and your team were shit.

Well aye, it feels like hes ready to play senior football, im just not sure if its better to try him with top flight football regularly, and run the risk of him struggling and losing all confidence, or have him playing at a lower level every week and enjoying himself more?

Deciding if a players "got it" at 16/17 is wrong.

I think you’re wrong, some players are naturally gifted and need minimal coaching.

Jimmy Johnstone was self taught kicking a ball about on the street and is probably one of the best players Scotland has produced.

Could be interesting to look at Mays passes after the first round of games to see if they compare to the previous 2 seasons.

Only saw highlights but looked like Ballantyne/Jephcott were always close to him and that seems to be something MacLean identified needed to happen, and tried to fix, the moment he took charge. Have to presume he'd mentioned it to Davidson and just been ignored.

McCrystal is definitely taking the chances given to him to impress, it looks like. Hard to know whats best for him, a loan or keep him around the first team?

Get him blooded, he’s hungry and full of confidence.

Derek Johnstone scored a cup final winning goal when he was 16, you've either got it or not.
