  1. I am taking advantage of Brentford's "pay what you can" scheme to go watch them play Stevenage next Tuesday night for £1.
  2. It's funny, because even the most hardened newco fan like Kincardine, who tries his best to paint that everything is fine and that he's having a great time knows, deep down, that it's all a big forced charade that the people are keeping up in some bizarre effort to prove that everything is rosy and the best it's ever been. Definitely. No question. Would never swap places with Celtic for anything. It's a shame, because, if they just admitted that they had to take their medicine and show a little bit of class and humility - whilst it's not particularly nice to see your club die - and support the new club back to where they want to be, the SPL, then you would have a little respect for them. They know, deep down, that Rangers died, this is a new club and the 140 Year celebration was a sad act of defiance that was looked upon with pity. They know, deep down, that the use of EBT's were wrong on a moral and sporting level. They know, deep down, that all the money they spent going to watch the old club in the cheating years was wasted, and all those trophies they celebrated and memories they cherish mean nothing. They know, deep down, that no matter what they say about not caring what other people think, they clearly do. They know, deep down, that the rest of us will never forget. They know, deep down, that the newco has inherited all the disgusting problems of the oldco.
  3. Unlucky. Try looking in the various threads where I have already said I live in London. Enjoy that, sounds a bit creepy discussing me though.
  4. Man, you really showed me. Saying "The old living away from home excuse" got me a beauty! I think you have shown yourself incapable of answering any of the points I made a few pages back. It wasn't a petty insult - I genuinely consider you beneath me. In the last few pages, you have confirmed this.
  5. I don't think you know what those words mean. Should have stuck in at school. I won't be there as I live in London and don't get to as many games. The game on Sat was my first this season and I won't be there again until Berwick on the 22nd September. Anyway, I don't want to see Forthbank overrun by all the local Sevco fans, who have managed to blag tickets in the home end as well as the shame who will infest the away sections. Interesting to note none of you could answer any of the points I made. Still no hard evidence for the "shouting abuse at Sevco oficials" claim. I would be interested to hear it. For clarity - yes, you are beneath me. Intellectually, morally and on pretty much every other level I would guess.
  6. As much as you failed to interpret the post in context with the post I referred to, I will break it down for you. His nonsense about being pleasantly surprised at the football played - coming from a supporter of Ally's globetrotters it might be a surprise but guys that level can pass and move. Yep, even wee diddy teams at this level. I don't really care about your anecdotal nonsense. Lots of people are hostile towards you, I could provide lots of anecdotal evidence like you, but that proves nothing. I won't be going to the game against Sevco. You are beneath me.
  7. Leaving aside your patronising tosh about SFL3, the above is laughable nonsense. Your bleating about Rangers(deceased) being shafted more than anyone else is nonsense. The fact that Rangers are deceased is a result of how badly they shafted everyone else. Rangers(deceased) were liquidated as they owed ridiculous amounts of money to organisations they shafted. Once again, the poor us attitude stinks - be it employed in this way or the ridiculous claim that Rangers(deceased) were treated badly by the footballing authorities. You should thank your lucky stars that they were fast tracked into the SFL, a concession that in the bluster and smear perpetuated by Rangers(deceased)/Sevco fans has not been fully acknowledged. As for insufferable triumphalism? Lapping up Green's odious rhetoric about bigotry, being debt-free and getting-it-up-the-SPL-you-are-all-fucked-and-going-to-die-without-us nonsense that shows that it whist it may be a new club, it is the same old Sevco fans. Have St John's ambulance been paid? The local newsagent? Shred-it? Whilst many of these businesses feel the pain of Rangers(deceased) fall, Sevco supporters can lap up signings on ludicrous wages whilst Green proudly boasts of Sevco's financial status. These businesses took the pain whilst McCoist blusters about not hearing any talk of tainted titles. As for Europe - Manchester, Osasuna, Barcelona to name but a few. An embarrassment. This will never be forgotten. Rangers(deceased) will always be looked at as the odious institution to be pitied, scorned and laughed at.
  8. Evidence for him shouting abuse at Rangers(deceased)/Sevco officials?
  9. Yes, all of this. It is interesting to see No.8 turn from the oh-so-humble persona he adopted during Rangers(deceased) troubles into the insufferable triumphalist fool we associate with Rangers(deceased) and Sevco. It's staggering to see their mewling at this situation with the independent tribunal. None of them still have any moral decency. Rangers(deceased) shafted businesses, football clubs, shamed Scotland on numerous occasions through Europe, crow about 5 stars representing their tainted history and lord it over all of us in their dirty new persona. No morals, no class, no honour.
  10. Where to start with this dross? I see we are back to it being all Whyte's fault? Nothing to do with the years of financial mismanagement before then? Don't play the bleeding heart victim card - you were happy to revel in the glory that cheating brought, now your club speaks of not entertaining any notion that those titles were tainted or should be stripped. Not to mention those same fans disgusting actions whilst supporting Rangers(deceased) The fans who reveled in the tainted titles of Rangers(deceased) are the same insufferable fools who claim to be delighted in SFL3 supporting a new club that spit in the face of all those who lost money by spending insane amounts on a standard of player they don't need to win said division. New club, same old moral bankruptcy from the Sevco fans.
  11. You're hardly a credible source. Even best case scenario from your dribbling, Rangers/Sevco did not pay any of these small creditors debts, the RFF did. Which leads me to think that they - along with the other creditors who haven't been paid - were royally screwed by Rangers(deceased). Therefore, it strikes me as pretty morally repugnant for Sevco fans to be lording it over everyone, claiming to have kept their history, be debt free, signing players on ludicrous sums of money in the wake of shafting honest businesses like this. It stinks, and pisses all over those who have been shafted in this debacle. To be fair, it's nothing I don't expect from Rangers(deceased)/Sevco fans.
  12. Well, since you repeated it - I'm won over. So, what about the other creditors that you claimed were paid off in full, where is the evidence for that?
  13. Did any of the small business creditors ever receive any money? You know, like shred-it, the deli and the like? I figure they haven't, but just wondering in case I missed it.

    Gigs

Went to Rock en Seine in Paris last weekend and saw full sets of: Get Well Soon, Sigur Ros, Of Monsters and Men, Maximo Park, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Green Day. As well as seeing bits and pieced of: The Shins, Placebo, Bloc Party, Ed Sheeran, Avant Seine All Stars and Little Roy. Sigur Ros were the highlight. An absolutely fantastic set - up there with the best I have ever seen. An excellent festival, would recommend to anyone ever thinking of going to it.
  15. If you beat us to win your first trophy, I'll congratulate you. Granted, with Gattuso, Martin Petrov and those five Euro 2012 targets in your squad, we don't stand much of a chance
  16. A tiny bit of me really wants you lot to get into Div3 next year so we can laugh at you as we beat you to the title. Mostly, I just want the SPL to vote no, then SFL do likewise and leave you to disappear altogether.

Going to Field Day in London on Saturday, mostly for Beirut but also looking forward to The Vaccines and a couple of others. Have also booked tickets for Rock en Seine in August with the missus. Have never been to a festival for the three days before and not camped(we are staying in a hotel in Paris) so that'll be a new experience. Line up is pretty decent too - Sigur Ros were the big draw for me but also looking forward to seeing The Shins, Grandaddy, The Black Keys, Noel Gallagher, Bloc Party and a few others. Supposed to be a pretty decent festival overall.
  18. Seen a few over the last couple of weeks: The Woman in Black - Saw this with people from work, not particularly scary but a few of my female colleagues were pretty jumpy throughout. As someone said before, you can only so often have an eerie scene punctuated by a BOO! moment. Thought it was pretty decent, nothing spectacular. A solid *** out of 5. Drive - I don't get the fuss. Watched it with the bird, who hated it. For me, it was more just a meh film aimed at guys who get a bonk on over that kind of stuff. ** Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy - Fairly enjoyed it with an excellent lead performance from Oldman. *** Win, Win - Giamatti is class as usual as a struggling lawyer who becomes the guardian of an old man for the cash, but puts him in a home. The old man's teenage runaway grandson turns up, with Giamatti taking him in **** The Artist - Beautifully done, and fully deserving of the accolades that's come it's way **** The Rimet Trophy - Hour long documentary about the Jules Rimet Trophy I saw as part of the European Documentary Festival. Interesting insight into the trophy and it's disappearance in Brazil. Was also followed by a Q&A with Marco Tardelli. ****
  19. I'd go for Freedom - it's a stunning novel. Read it twice in a row, absolutely loved it. The Corrections is great too though. I finally finished 1Q84, Books 1 & 2 - typical Murakami brilliance. About halfway through book 3, which has been enjoyable so far too.

Going to see Fanfarlo at Cargo in Shoreditch tomorrow night. New stuff sounds good, looking forward to seeing a few of the songs from reservoir though.
  21. Ha, turns out my gf had ordered me it as a surprise and it was delivered to my work. Delighted.
  22. I thought One Day was pretty poor, a bit Hornby-lite. A definite ** novel Over the past while, I've also read The Color Purple(*****), which gripped me from the first page. Incredible writing in a truly believable voice. Russell Brand's Booky Wook 2(***) was readable with a couple of laugh out loud moments. Norman Mailer's The Fight(***) chronicling the Ali-Foreman fight was interesting, but a bit smug for my tastes. I really enjoyed Becoming Holyfield(****) though, interesting to get Evander's take on his fights with Bowe, Lewis and Tyson. Going to buy Murakami's 1Q84 Books 1 & 2 tomorrow. Excited.
