  1. I'm more keen on that than Imrie. No disrespect to him, he seems to be doing a decent enough job at Greenock.
  2. I thought it was just newspaper chat, suppose I should trust the bookies odds. I can't see him leaving Morton to join us though. And yeah, they're getting proper fizzy! Your manager's been linked with another club that's all, it usually means he's doing a good job. Calm the f*ck down!
  3. Are you serious or just enjoying reeling in the Greenock fans cos they are fizzy as f*ck and biting easily?
  4. Did we not have our longest ever unbeaten run under Dodds? We had our longest losing run but I'm pretty sure it was followed by the longest unbeaten run. Doesn't change a thing either way.
  5. It's not your job to ask the hierarchy at the club question that they might not like. You guys are fellow supporters, just like the rest of us. You're producing a podcast which is meant as entertainment for your fellow ICT fans, it's not your role to provide communication from the club to the fans. No ICT fans have been happy with things recently but some of the stick you guys have received at times on social media has been too much, it's not your job to hold the club to account and as fans you've been as p1ss3d off as the rest of us.
  6. Ian McCall looks like a plumber who spends his weekends doing an Elton John tribute.
  7. I've no idea what to think of the O'Dea prospect, it's very much come out of nowhere. I thought it was bollocks when I first read it on here but it does seem that there is substance to it. We've sort of done similar things in the past with unexpected appointments from outside the club as manager, such as when we appointed Robbo the first time, he was a coach at Livvy back then. Similar when we gave Brewster his first role in management. His first spell with us was very successful which resulted in his move to Dundee Utd. I wouldn't include the appointment of Foran as he was appointed from within. There's no guarantee with any appointment of course, but historically giving coaches or older players, who were not expected, the managers job has mostly worked out well for us. At least it's not one of the same old faces I suppose. And it's not Gary Locke!
  8. I think the replies to your initial post completely overlooked what you actually wrote. You did not say that we should have kept Dodds, unless I misread it your post, what you said was that there were some high points in amongst what someone had referred to as "abject failure". And you'd be very, very correct with that statement. We might have got to the Cup Final on a technicality in an early round, however we played in the Scottish Cup Final! AGAIN!! There were 124 other teams who would have given almost everything to be in our shoes on that scorching day in June. There is no way that the feeling in the run up to that final came close to the feeling in 2015, back then the feel good factor surrounding our club was fantastic. The buzz this time was definitely not the same, however having grown up in Inverness and being in my 40's now, it was Highland League in Inverness when I was a kid - to see Inverness in the biggest game in Scottish football for a second time was just f**kin fantastic! The main thing I took away from your post was "I wish I could see my club in The Cup Final!" Of course Dodds had to go and his tenure was largely a steaming turd, but every now and then someone put some glitter on the turd! (It's still a turd tho!)
  9. He did not win a single game in charge until he appointed an assistant to help him. The assistant was Billy Dodds.
  10. I did not say that I think he's who we should appoint. I did say that I'd rather him than the others that I listed.
  11. The St.J fans really seem to dislike him. I am also very aware of how bad his record was after winning the cups, in saying that I do think that there is a difference between managing St.J in the top flight v the old firm, Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts, etc than managing Inverness v Morton, Arbroath, Ayr, etc. I'm not saying that I thinks he's the best candidate but I'd sure as hell take him over Gary bloody Locke, McIntyre, Robertson and McCann. Although not sure it really matters while we still have certain others "running" the club.
  12. Cool yet tits mun. Mr Mongoose was merely casting his bread upon the water to watch the ripples, and boy did you gobble.
  13. I'm not against the idea of CD getting the job at all, I'm just pointing out that his record at St. J after the cup wins was really poor. However I think managing Inverness in the 2nd tier against the likes of Morton, Ayr, Raith, Partick, Arbroath, etc is a very different prospect to managing St. J in the top flight v Rangers (RIP), Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, etc. There's nothing to suggest he couldn't cope with the former easily, there's no guarantees is there. I know something needs to change at ICT, however I fear Dodds is a small part of that, although I really think his position is almost untenable now. We could go on a great run but most fans would be just waiting for the defeats, the majority very much want him gone now I feel.
  14. I'm not too sure what to think about that. Towards the end of his time at St. J some saints fans were pointing out his record / stats and it was absolutely abysmal. That's of course not to say that he wouldn't do a good job somewhere else, who knows.
  15. Is this part of some creative writing course or something? The cup final is pretty much the biggest day in Scottish football, regardless of how good, bad or indifferent Dodds is doing, he's going to want to be a part of that. Being one of the two managers involved is pretty much the highest profile role in that game. If this is true (Hahaha!) and the players don't like him as much as is being claimed, then it would have been quite an easy decision to put someone else in charge for the day and say he was ill or had other commitments (family, personal, etc.).
  16. We hope so too. His signing has received a lot positivity from our fans which is quite something considering how many of our fans consistently look for something to have a whine about. I think most players in his position and at his age would have taken the offer from Celtic (or the other cheek) and carried on in the reserve cheeks. It's a brave move on his part but shows maturity and confidence, I hope he thrives with us. Good luck for the season ahead, I enjoyed my visit to Dumbarton last Tuesday (apart from the result I suppose!).
  17. The morons that say "Where was the outcry when he signed for Clyde?..." usually follow that it with something along the lines of "This is all Sturgeon and the SNP's fault". We all know the type sadly.
  18. There's a bit of negativity regarding the signing of two players from Cove because Cove were relegated. I don't get that at all. We're not signing the team that got relegated. This happens all the time in football. You can use almost any relegated team as an example, look at Leicester City for example... They got relegated and now a lot of other clubs have rushed in to sign their better players as they want out. Maddison, Barnes, Evans all signed by top flight clubs, I'm sure there's lots of other players too in that example. It's opportunistic, it's picking the bones and I doubt it's pleasant for the fans of that club (with regards to most of the players at least) but that's football. Our league season last season can be regarded as a failure, we didn't get relegated but by the standards the club (and fans) have we failed. We wanted to keep Allardice and to sign Henderson but we couldn't, the caravan dwellers across the bridge signed those guys because they are good players not because they underachieved with us. Same with Deas and Livvy. I'm not for a second saying that the two boys from Cove will set the heather alight for us but FFS give them a chance mun.
