That would be impressive, as currently there's no planning application for lights showing on the council's website.

Maybe they've had the planning application already in and it's passed and gets removed from the NAC website. Largs Thistle's application no longer shows up on the map but that application was passed.

Am I wrong in thinking that the teams that don't play in the SJFA Cup and do not have licences play in the Starthclyde Demolition Cup?

Is this competition voluntary? I know it makes sense to enter it to get access to the SFA Cup - but the dates set aside for Junior Cup would be used by this cup instead - one or the other.

I really can't for the life of me work out why some people fail to recognise that the Scottish junior cup has had its day  .

I t will have had it's day when clubs no longer volunteer to enter it. But at the moment, its final attracts 4½K yet the South Challenge Cup only 799 (2022 finals).

Gates are now split in the SSCC ... although i've no idea what the prize money is this year - Talbot folk implied they got nothing at all from the final but that seems implausible - gate share at least id've thought ??

I'm led to believe this was true but apparently there is going to be some prize money this season. It still won't match the £12K minimum you get from the SJFA Cup though. Up until the West clubs joined the away clubs did not get a share of the gate money and that changed after one season. (Or was it two as the first season was cut short).

The disparity between the amount of fixtures clubs have played is a total joke.

There is zero sporting integrity when only some clubs are being asked to squash in nearly half a seasons fixtures in 6 weeks whilst others sit idle.

The fixture secretary needs to get a grip.

Those clubs that are behind are there because they are taking part in the money-spinning SFA Cup and they've also volunteered to take part in the Scottish Junior Cup. You don't get it both ways.

Well said this guy says he's a talbot supporter but yet criticism all the time even though talbot have thought they had did everything buy the book but yet Andy always has a go look if they was a mistake OK we take on the chin and move on but there also needs to be a a more robust system has this is happening to often to all teams and Andy if ur not happy find another team

As far as I am aware a Secretary can see the details for any match - who the ref and assistants were, who got booked and who scored - but they don't get the teamlines other than for their own games. Could that not be added as well. Then it would just be a case of looking up a players registration history and see if any of those clubs played a particular cup tie during the players spell there. From there they could check details of each match. Or is that too time consuming for the number of clubs involved. The SJFA can manage for their SJFA Cup. but there are far fewer teams.

Tongue in cheek from you theesel I'm assuming. Talbot are of course due to play Gartcairn in the WoSFL QF on 18th March.

If Talbot win then yes they should be playing a SF on 8th April which would free up Largs and hopefully mean you can play us (Pollok) in the league on that date and avoid us having to extend our season with 2 blank Saturdays before our match at Barrfields!

That would make sense - unless he's wanting the final Saturday of the Premier season to have every team involved. Two weeks wages saved would be a reasonable sum.

When are the fixtures for the 8th April being released and the fixtures for 29th April, what are they dependent on and so approximately when will they be known?

He must have read my post as the fixtures have now been filled in. Congratulations Gartcairn on beating Talbot in the West Cup ¼ final as I was sure the 8th April was semi final day..

Players are idiots and I mean that with no offence meant

I can understand what you mean. I remember in my youth not knowing which cup was which. There was the Junior Cup then everything else just blended into one. So I can understand if a player doesn't know if they've already played in a cup for their previous club.

I see in the Juniors they can post the teamlines for Junior Cup games to be able to check.image.thumb.png.9b1208b0fd2b00df7d2791e32bc4e9f2.png

Sfa cleared the emergency loan for him to specificity play in the game yesterday as I understand it. Not surprised it made it on here as folk who appeared to be EK officials parading around after the game celebrating.

Is the opposition club not meant to report something like this to their opponents and/or ref before the game if they are aware of something? I remember Largs Thistle playing Talbot a few weeks before the Junior Cup final in 2019 and Largs had a player on the suspension list incorrectly. There had been frantic phone calls to find out situation. Talbot pointed this out to Largs before the game and were advised of the error.

    Aye, it's a dawdle, it's just a matter of photocopying another club's documents. 🙄🤦‍♂️

Or copying/pasting pdf document on website. I saw one of the examples talked about as I was confused about whose website I was on as I was visiting a few at the time. Not saying that can happen with all the documents but it has happened with some.

I just find it sad that that a homeless club like Clydebank can latch onto their neighbours and under the candles while playing under an artificial complex and be granted the stardom of being licensed while a good club like beith ( despite our slope could be held back)

Both clubs as far as I am aware have the same status at Holm Park. Clydebank aren't the tenants of Yoker but rather both of them the tenants of West Dunbartonshire Council.

Interesting that Clydebank are the club that are licensed and not Yoker.

EDIT : I wonder if someone will be along to point out it isn't just floodlights you need for a Licence.

I want to see my club at the highest tier possible so its certainly not a downgrade. I feared the potential for clubs to stagnate the progress. Perhaps the west prem should be licensed only (with fair notice period of say 2 years?)?

They were considering that but binned the idea before it even got to a vote. It was to be 5 years IIRC. Or maybe it was just floodlights.

Me personally, doesn't bother me, as I see them as a tiny local club team that has a sugar daddy and it will come to an end and they will eventually revert back to their natural level if and when the money runs out but at least the structure in place will last when they are gone so that is one benefit

Darvel will end up stuck in the LL (maybe after promotion/relegation to/from, League 2). Is that their natural position minus sugar daddy?
