  1. I don't suppose you've kept a note of relevant dates/meetings/statements. As far as I can see there's been a statement from LL/EoSL on the 7th and 12th February - but nothing in response publicly from WRSJFA/SJFA. I'm trying to collate a timeline of events and you seem to be on the ball with these things.
  2. One argument against a WoSL would be the uncertainty of it - however this could apply to the WRJFA next year as well. Especially as the main argument for staying is the Junior Cup and it could lose another 10 clubs from the East Region regardless of how many leave from the West. It's going to be a weird 6 weeks.
  3. I know that. You know that. But the clubs arranging EGMs to decide don't know that.
  4. Now we just need for someone from this new WoSL to post a similar list for WoSL for next season. And for the WRJFA to post their summary of benefits as well.
  5. They might find that next year would see them at tier 7 or 8. I think that's where the Junior League will end up so even if they stay they'll be at Tier 7 or 8. The Lowland League have a problem with the WR as a feeder but the same won't apply with a WoSL. This is how I see things panning out. I don't for one minute think Talbot will remain if they see a few clubs leaving.
  6. Interesting Winton Rovers Academy in among them. They are a club that I don't know if are interested but definitely should be. Yoker as well - interesting if Clydebank go and they stay.
  7. Well that's going to save a lot of arguments. To be fair when I was reading the licence requirements online (on a monitor, not tablet) I had to turn my head to the side to read them. I've now found a version that I don't need to tilt my head so can have a better read at them.
  8. This is what I'm trying to find out - the reality of things. Segregation and separate catering IS required for the Licence - but how do clubs operate in reality to gain this Licence.
  9. Lovely - another Pyramid thread. This one is more about the Seniors as the West Seniors don't have a forum......yet. The Licencing goes into many things but what happens in reality? Segregation is required. Different toilets, different catering, different entrances etc. Does this happen in reality for Lowland League matches? Do EoSL have separate catering at their matches in preparation for stepping up? I can understand segregation in the Scottish FA Cup.....but the LL? Provision for disabled spectators: • A covered area with space for at least 2 wheelchairs and Personal Assistants. So if there is already a covered stand would easy access for wheelchairs to this area be sufficient or would a shelter need to be created within that covered stand? Any time I google for images I get the Kilmarnock shelter. What differences have happened in the East at grounds for clubs that are not fully licensed?
  10. The Junior Cup will go on. Largs had about 2,000 at last year's final. If they got to the final of the South Challenge Cup there would likely be less than 500 travelling. How many did last year's final of the South Challenge Cup get?
  11. I would visit but I need to get up early on Wednesday mornings.
  12. I think the financial side of things will need to come from organisers rather than speculation on here. Player registration and discipline - well, there would be no reinstatements to pay and no limit on squad size(?) . Discipline, the same as it currently is minus the fines. This is a Junior thing they wanted to keep.
  13. Wait until the EGMs start and trips to Elgin on a Tuesday night are brought up.
  14. The Junior Cup has 130+ years of history and is a well known comp. A better comparison is the WoS Junior Cup or the East equivalent. As Mallo points out, the SCC is not a national comp..... There is absolutely no excitement about the WoS Cup. In fact, it would be a fool that places bets on WoS Cup games as managers will give their fringe players a chance in these games and any result can happen.
  15. Is it treated as a big thing though? Even the early rounds of the Scottish are treated as a big game or there is a different excitement about them. The League must be the main thing outside the Juniors.
  16. The Juniors have done away with this as well. Or at least up until the semi finals of the Scottish.
  17. One thing I do notice with cups - they don't have replays. Do they have any sort of "guarantee" as they have in the Junior Cup? Is the gate money even shared for cup games?
  18. So one would have to assume with all the extra SFA entrants through Licencing, the SFA will be cutting back on the un-Licenced entrants soon? No place for the Scottish Junior Cup winners and Junior League winners. The only entry for a club like Talbot to keep their annual SFA money is through Licensing. And to be Licensed in future I would imagine the League has to be part of the Pyramid. Can you see where I'm going with this?
  19. I wonder if the Evening Times could be persuaded to sponsor an end of season Cup Winners Cup?
  20. If you're going to join at all it would probably best be at the start. If there are enough names there will likely be two Conference Leagues in the first season and splitting into a Premier and First Division for the second. If you come in at that second season you'll be in the lower Division with probably lower gates.
  21. The reason I brought up about him being a Nazi as I remember at the time I kept on getting him mixed up with some other tennis player as being in the National Front which for the other person is probably not a good thing.
  22. Buster Mortram - was he not the Nazi? I think I saw a video of him mishitting a serve and nearly taking out the guy on the other side of the net. (Or is this what you're referring to?)
  23. We're at Deuce in this game of tennis. Who's going to get advantage? We have the SJFA that have failed with previous attempts at getting the Juniors into the Pyramid. Not letting the clubs know how they propose getting a deal now. At the other side of the net we have the LL and EoSL proposing a WoSL. No further details other than clubs have to write with expressions of interest. The clubs need information - who will be the first to provide it as time is running out. EDIT : The West Region is John McEnroe and the WoSL is Rafael Nadal.
  24. I think some Premiership clubs will realise if they don't go now and wait a year they could end up in the bottom Division and lose out on the larger gates for at least two seasons.
