  1. It's never too late to fire in the chicken manure (pellets). Just throw them down on soil surface and leave nature to sort it out. Anything that needs a boost, handful of growmore at base. It's a ph7 feed, so you can use it for everything. Guaranteed results.
  2. Just have patience with Dahilias, feed them as I said they will come on. Pot seems fine for one bulb, maybe bulbs were poor, it can happen. Lillies seem to do better in pots/tubs than in the ground, I don't exactly know why but they do. Quality of soil might be a factor Make sure drainage holes are unobstructed, raising pot a little can help. Whenever you are planting something, before you plant put a handful of Growmore in before planting, helps all plants, flowers and shrubs establish and gives them a boost. Cereal size box is about £4. Feed your beds with chicken manure mid to end April, spread it liberally all over beds. Its a long term feed, only do it once lasts a whole season and you will see a big difference. 20kg bag is £16 but it goes far. The joys of gardening, so many anomalies but you learn as you go along. Don't be too downhearted if things don't work out. You learn mostly as you go along. Gardening is good for the soul. I've been a self employed gardener for fifteen years and I'm still learning.
  3. Are the dahlias in a shaded area? If so move them to a sunnier area. Flowers/plants have wide variations and it can be down to how they were cared for before you got them. Regards Lillies, just when you said they just rotted away, I thought they were waterlogged. What size of pot are they in? Did you have multiple bulbs in each pot? As crowding can cause them to compete and kill each other off. Most composts are fine for Lillies but John Innes no3 is probably the best.
  4. Dahlias, mix four capfuls of tomato feed in four litres of water, then water once a week. My own react very well to this. The pot you had Lillies in, did it have drainage holes in bottom and a layer of gravel or polystyrene in bottom?
  5. No, but everybody's input moves momentum in the right direction, to fire this dross in the bin where it belongs
  6. It will definitely be a harder league next season with the additions from above and below but hoping for best. We certainly won't be standing still but a few experienced additions will help. Minus the game against us, if you can take your mid to late season form into next season you will be heading in the right direction. Best of luck for next season. Looking forward to a pie at Millburn.
  7. Dalry Thistle 0 Gow 1 1-0 up half-time and didn't look in any danger at all. Missed a barrowload of chances by the end. Should have easily been 4 or 5. Missed out on promotion by four points, considering goal difference. Bit of a sickener but only have ourselves to blame. Looking promising for next season. Congratulations to VOC, AWR and Larky, best of luck for next season, in division two. Looking forward to a trip to Castle Douglas next season.
  8. I've heard that St Pats and Knightswood FC have made their pitch to the beaks and awaiting outcome at AGM.
  9. Having played both teams twice now. I would say you should get the result you are looking for and hopefully that will secure your place in the league for next season. Do enjoy a visit to Millburn.
  10. Gow 5 Vale of Leven 0 Good competent display from the Gow, 3 up at half time. Finished it off in second half with a couple of goals, could have been more. Vale down to ten men in closing stages. The Gow weren't troubled too much at the back. Good team performance but Kieran Maguire upfront was immense once again
  11. Gow 3 Irvine Vics 0 3-0 up at half time, could have been five. Irvine pressed more in second half but Gow remained resolute.
  12. Would agree with your thoughts regards up to half time. We, too often don't turn up for periods of games. Big Neil Schoneville was causing carnage in the box at set pieces. Your no 2(player), could be doing with a anger management course.
  13. Gow 3 Lanark United 2 2-0 down. Fought back well, scored late on, for winner. Good game.
  14. Girvan 2 Gow 1 If the Gow had bothered to show up in first half might have been different. Girvan 2-0 up at half time. Gow pushed a bit more in second half, got a goal back but despite some late pressure couldn't get back into it. Girvan deserved their win. We just didn't get going to any great degree. Which is disappointing considering what was at stake. Another season in division three beckons.
  15. East Kilbride Th 1 Gow 3 1-0 up midway through first half, then down to ten men, no arguments about sending off. Gow still looked the more likely to score again. EK came out second half and put us under a lot of pressure and got it back to 1-1., through a debatable penalty. Gow made a few changes and reaped the rewards in last ten minutes, when we scored two belters. The team deserve a lot of praise for digging in and getting the result.
  16. It's not Scottish footballs problem that Old Firm have bloated youth systems. It's their problem. Have they not heard of the loan system or slimming down youth systems and using cash elsewhere? English football manages fine, without the need for B team dross.
  17. The only compromise I can see, is expand it to 20 teams include WOFSL, EOFSL & SOS. Two up from it, one play off 2nd bottom L2. Three down. Open up, almost closed shop that is LL, three up and three down, no play offs. Other than that get old Firm to slim down reserves and youths. Use cash elsewhere. It's not Scottish footballs problem that Old Firm have bloated youth systems. It's their problem.
  18. I think they are trying to propagate this story, that it's a done deal to try dampen resistance. It's a colossal farce that needs binned. Reserve League for B dross.

  21. The "Non League" football site on Facebook is planning a month of action through May under the banner of "No to B teams" for anyone interested. I will be giving it my support. https://www.facebook.com/groups/nonleague/permalink/2144815472390860/
  22. Couldn't comment on offside due to distance from it and your player dissenting and constantly manhandling our number ten didn't help him. All still to play for. As for dodgy decisions we've had our fair share too. Doesn't help ref when no linesmen for offside decisions
