  1. In March 2011, literally weeks before the Holyrood election in May, TNS had Labour on 44% (actual vote 31.6%) Just sayin....
  2. Are we still looking at a "seismic shift"?
  3. Does the Yes campaign still need a seismic shift? Just checking...
  4. Professor Curtice, not a man known for his nationalist leanings said "The No side is beginning to look like a campaign in trouble" Lets just leave that quote there for all Unionists to mull over for a while......
  5. A seismic shift? The last poll showed a 3% swing would have Yes winning
  6. There are still a lot of voters that are not really engaging with the campaign as yet. The referendum won't be lost or won in March. Many will make up their minds in the official campaign period. Yes it's nice to see your campaign in the lead or your campaign showing momentum, but it's only a snap shot of how things are at the moment. In my opinion it will be late August early September before we know who is likely to win this referendum.
  7. What a million people moved abroad and moved back to vote?
  8. Good report for once on ITN News about the missing million voters who are re-registering on the Electoral Roll for the referendum vote. For whatever reason these people just stopped voting and dropped off the electoral register. These people won't show up on opinion polls, so how will they vote? As expected the turnout for the referendum vote will be high - 75%-85% as referenda always produce a high turnout. My own theory is many of these missing voters just gave up on voting for parties. They would rather not vote at all and perhaps apathy has set in. But they feel a referendum vote is different and meaningful. Will they go to the trouble of re-registering just to vote to keep things as they are? Or will they vote for something different?
  9. Ah right, polls are only credible when they are commissioned by Unionist newspapers like the Scotsman... got it!
  10. It ain't goin away. We only have to win once
  11. Yes it would. I would imagine the majority of SNP members would be pushing to have a referendum within the 2016 parliament included in their manifesto.
  12. That would give us a mandate to have another referendum in the 2016 parly, should the Yes parties get a majority.
  13. I can honestly see in-fighting very shortly in the No camp.
  14. The SSAS didn't even use the independence question that will be asked on the ballot paper...
  15. Polls can’t be relied on http://www.scotsman.com/news/brian-monteith-polls-can-t-be-relied-on-1-3274441 "The polls can only tell us so much; events and how our politicians react to them is what will decide the outcome."

  17. No matter what way you look at it the No vote is soft and open to persuasion.
