  1. Boys in training this morning according to @staggiehedge. Good, think a few need a reality check. I honestly believe we should be around 9th at least with the players we have. Just need to gel a team together.
  2. To be honest I am happy with Jim, he looked the best option of the names banded about. According to the Jailender Billy Dodds looks like he will be the new Assistant Manager
  3. So Hartson Was interviewed today for the job and shown around The stadium. No experience at management level, out of touch with Scottish football and a big Celtic man. I am not keen to be honest.
  4. Seems Jim McIntyre is the new favourite for the job. He is priced at Evens. Not sure about him to be honest. Would take him before Danny Lennon and Butcher.
  5. Dingwall should get a go in the team for me, albeit from the bench. I have watched him several times now. He also has a great confidence and is always winding up his opponents which I like. Players will get red Carded against him I am sure. Hopefully we can get a new manager in by Monday when the players return. On Swanson, he was taken in to be the link with RM and the Adams family. Now he will be used to build the 3-5 year plan with RM in my view. Good guy to have in the background for me.
  6. Irvine and Kiss will be CM going forward I would imagine. Darren Barr can't be match fit, but would be a big improvement on our RB options. Left back is our real problem area, Carey may have to drop back or play Latouchent(sp?) Brittain may work on the right and get Arquin up front where he belongs. Love Midge but just can't see where he will fit in. Agree with BB that Irvine is a bit of headless chicken, but he improved greatly in the 2nd half of last season for Killie, so I expect him to continue with that. Remember we can still sign out of contract players.
  7. Barr is decent enough and I would play him RB. We now have far to many similar players up front. We must be putting 1 or 2 out on loan until Jan. (Ross, Matseen) Tidser would be a great signing, thought he was better than Kiss last season. Busy day for a Managerless club!!
  8. Wouldn't be unhappy with Ian Murray though. Tel meh, think he is damaged goods after Hibs disaster.
  9. New manager will have to deal with what he has got until Jan. For me Gary Locke would be a good fit for the club as he did very well with that scenario last year. Also may give the younger boys a chance. Tony Dingwall would be on the bench of me at the very least every week.
  10. Well that is just ridiculous! Cardle could do okay in this league!! All the best for Ketts, great player for us in the lower leagues.
  11. No danger will we be favourites next week unless we get a couple of midfielders in. Adams is nowhere near a formation to play yet never mind a starting 11. I think we will start the season poorly, and hopefully improve.
  12. I think Klok has a knock and he is at home rested Happy if Arquin signs up for longer. Hopefully he plays through the middle tonight with Boyce instead of wide right
  13. True, although slightly different after being at the club for a year. If he is happy to return it is fine. Just don't know what his reason were to want to look elsewhere.
  14. I don't mind Quinn or Ketts as cover. Having both signed up again isn't great in my view.
  15. I thought one of the players tweeted playing head tennis by the official twitter page last night looked like him. Carey was probably in our best 3 players last season, although I thought his form dipped towards the end. My worry is that, is he only coming to us as no central belt Premiership team wants him. If he did sign we are still short of a Tidser type player in centre mid
  16. No, neither has Kyle Macleod or Tony Dingwall which has disappointed me!!
  17. Agree with defence and forwards Cardle should be wide left of midfield. Brittain will also be fine. Balk could do deep midfield. But we are very short in midfield. For me we are in a relegation battle unless we sign 2 or 3 quality players
  18. 1-1 draw today with Nairn County Nairn deserved the draw. We are still some way off a settled starting 11. Reugero - little chance with the goal, flapped at one cross Fenlon- Steady, but nothing special Celcer- not convinced he is the answer, poor again. Boyd- usual performance reliable Dreseen- looked very solid, good performance Quinn- steady game, missed good chance Brittain- good game, taken off at HT Balk- was good last week as holding mid, thought he never got a foothold in the game. De Lueew- very wasteful, and seemed frustrated at times Arquin- playing wide right is not where you get the best out of him. Jervis- very quiet, poor in the air for a big man, seemed flat footed at times Cardle- excellent when he came on, combined well with Boyce for the goal. Smashed a great shot off the bar also Boyce- - showed a great eye for goal, took the goal very well. Linked well with Cardle. Much better than Jervis in my opinion Matseen- came on on showed nice touches with very little end product. Other subs hadn't time to show what they can do. We need to sort midfield and LB ASAP. 3 players needed at least.
  19. Not sure we still have a good backbone from last season. Only 4 of the starting 11 are still here. We need a midfield pronto
  20. I think he will be useful against tiring defences. Not seen enough to say he is solid defending from LM. I think he will be a good signing, just may get more from him a times from the bench.I have seen him twice in preseason and I am happy with him. We need 2 quality midfielders at least. My view on Kettlewell has been clear enough He is a Championship player and no more in my opinion.
  21. I hope Boyce is better the Jervis, would hope he would be good enough to start each game. We do still need a Left back obviously, but Centre Mid is an area we are weak in, Brittain & Quinn are just not good enough as a pairing in centre mid. Brittain is better wide. I think we still need 2 central midfielders to be honest. I can see Cardle being used as an impact sub at times also. Plenty of good things from the Elgin game, Fenlon looked very good and will be a good addition.
  22. 3-0 win at Elgin goals from Quinn, Brittain and Arquin. I thought Elgin were unlucky to be 1-0 down in the first half. Worries for me Not sure Celar is the solution for Left back Our midfield needs 2 centre mids in my view. Fitness of a few seem a little off with Arquin looking like he is carrying a little timber, but time to improve on that. Jake Jervis didnt do great. Poor in the air for a big man and was flat footed on a couple of occasions. Tim Dreesen was a little shakey with some long balls, but good with the ball at his feet. Good Points Jim Fenlon was very good at right back, hopefully he can be signed up Jordi Balk looked composed and a good organiser. He played holding midfield and he put in a good shift. Suspect CB is his real position though. 2nd half was far better with Cardle improving things with good wing play. Elgin made County work for it, so it will help for fitness for the future Arquin did well setting up Quinn and a powerful header from Cardle's cross for the 3rd. Reguero is a very good vocal keeper. Real improvement
  23. He does seem to like the early cross to the back post His left foot seems accurate if not powerful
