  1. Aside from all the idiocy from the SFA that has caused real problems for both WW and BR what has happened at Whitehill?

Remember WW as pretty much the strongest of the old EoSL and it surpises me to see them struggling in a league with Civil Service, Dalbeattie, Vale of Leithen, Edusport, the University teams and even Gala.

Have those teams progressed while WW have regressed or is there other reasons?

Genuine question, it really does surprise me that WW were the first to drop out the LL (even with what happened at Selkirk).

That is a really good point. If the SFA was run by the over the last few years, and of the calibre of character of the late Turnbull Hutton, then Scottish football, at all levels, would be finely tuned to progress and advance.

I'll second that, the EoSL admin is faultless  and is all aimed towards benefitting the clubs and the game.  There are problems when you hit the glass celing at the top of the EoSL but they aren't the fault of the League, once clubs are moving into SFA territory is where the problems start.

It's the SFA that are unable to deal with a period of transition that have caused recent problems for Bonnyrigg and Whitehill.  It needs changed as well to match the selfless dedication as exemplified by the leadership of the EoSL, there could be worse ways of doing this than bringing people from the EoSL into positions of influence within the SFA at LL level.  You want change then you have to change at the same time, playing in the EoSL has been a pleasure, they've adapted brilliantly, wish the same could be said of the body at a higher level.

Player of the year /casino night for tomorrow cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and new date and venue being sought, strong rumours about that the social club is getting closed down, dilapidation order served on Warout Stadium, club relegated, it doesn't look promising.

Dull yin, great wee place for a game.

Watched a few Musselburgh games from this season on YouTube and there was some slick play up front and a couple of nice finishes. Looked like they have a few youngsters in the ranks with pace. Our defence will need to use their experience to discourage their opponents.

Boot them up the arse you mean?  Pretty much what's to be expected I guess.

Feck that - we’ve showed this season we could challenge for lowland league and a place in the play offs for the league

And it likely delays another team moving on.  Bonnyrigg will be stronger than the team dropping from the LL and thus disadvantage other teams in the EoS premier next year.

In terms of the pyramid it has to be said that it's amazing work to have destroyed any real faith in it and for the SFA to manage such ineptitude that they've largely taken a sledgehammer to the deserved positivity that the EoS has developed this year.  Petrie, Maxwell etc., absolute arseholes, this would be the problems that we were largely led to believe wouldn't be an issue for teams moving in.

No disrespect but movement into the EoS and pyramid has made it stronger in footballing terms what we don't need is an organisation run by utterly amateur cretins to halt progress by being completely unable to deliver an agreed set of conditions with enough flexibility to allow clubs to meet them.  Arseholes, this in no way reflects my feelings for the EoS who, personally, I think have delivered brilliantly in terms of administration this season and is a great set-up for the clubs within it.

Boys in the West can't wait to get started in the Pyramid

I also believe a certain East Region Junior Chairman at the weekend referred to those clubs who left last season as "traitors".

They all exist in a weird Junior bubble.....

Even with the benefit of the East Junior 'diehards' (and I would've counted myself among them) testing the waters for them and coming out enthralled with life in the EoS they're fighting it!

That said they're moving in under the West Junior guys who control it at the moment going in frantically defending their empire as opposed to the fresh start we got in the East I suppose.

"Ye fancy it Shug, looks complicated?"

"Nah no really, lets no bother, Talbot by ra way"

Heh heh, bit harsh (but maybe not entirely untrue).

Hold my hands up and say I wasn't entirely convinced myself before this season.  Organisation of the EoS has been brilliant and I've bought into it wholesale, once the leagues settle next season and beyond I can't see it getting anything but better.

West Junior internal power games amongst the jaikits (not really suits in the Juniors) will still take a wee bit of sorting.

Agree Rob; we deserved the win. However don’t agree it was a dodgy penalty! Clear as can be. Michael gets the ball crossed into the penalty, but is then taken down by the keeper! Have a look at the goals on the Musselburgh twitter and you will see.

Yup the Twitter video makes it clear, not really where I  was expecting the foul to be and I'd be following the ball rather than looking out wide.  As  I  say 50 year old etc.!

Great result for Geordie and Ryan and great news tonight that they're going to stick around as far as I'm concerned.

Sometimes I think you even struggle to understand the point you're making.  Having or not having a Licence will not effect how the EoS structure is decided for next season, and rightly so.  Blackburn should get into the EoS Premier based on finishing in the top 5, not on the basis of being awarded a Licence.

What might happen, is that a LL2 comes along and applications are invited, with Licenced clubs given priority.  Would you be happy with that or not?

Think that the LL whether it be 1 or 2  divisions would be the logical point for compulsory licencing to be necessary.  East of Scotland is a fantastic set up where it needn't be compulsory, in all likelihood there are teams within the EoS that won't be promoted out of it in my lifetime, that's the whole point of the pyramid and 'finding your level',   new requirement for getting a licence smoothes the way for clubs moving into the SPFL if reality matches ambition, hate to see a successful LL team unable to take a promotion place because of a lack of licence.
