Anybody else feeling a bit torn over the transfer window? On the one hand I feel an injection of fresh blood would do the team good and we are short in a few positions. On the other hand it's mcintyre picking the potential new players! Im also worried if some players need to leave in order for new ones to come in that the wrong ones will be moved on.

Except the title wasnt the same as the original story and related to watson, mary and their unborm baby which makes perfect sense. Its a nod to the original with a twist. Which sums up the whole idea behind the show.

What a bizzare post.

Last week on open all mics. Said that people shouldnt expect too much just cause we were good last year against second division opposition, considering most of the squad were relegated the season before that from the first.

I would assume that he thinks he is doing a good job because we are not in the relegation or playoff spot at the moment and according to our forward 'coach' he is working with 60% of a squad that got relegated two years ago and we shouldnt be expecting too much from them! He should be sacked now as you say but he wont be. Even when mcpherson had us relegated he was offered a new contract!

Wasnt the whole point of the story that if he said his name then the timelords would know he was there and come through the crack? So why didnt they come through the crack, when they obviously knew he was there, when they sent through the regen energy?

Hope this is good as the telly so far this Christmas has been shit. I know everyone says that every year but this just seems much worse than normal.

Or...dont play the smallest player on the pitch in that position? Carmichael hasnt been great this season but if he is to be played it has to be on the wing. The few times he went out wide in that game he actually created chances for us. The fact that he was played 'in the hole' in the first place, coupled with the fact we still kept hitting high balls to him says more about the managers tactical prowess and the teams lack of direction than anything else imo.

The problem as I see it with our passing style is the movement (or lack of it) off the ball. Especially in the final third we are far to static. In the st mirren game up there we had several attacks that just seemed to stop because the players were standing (and i mean literally standing) along the edge of the box. The werent moving into space or 'dragging' defenders with them, they were just standing there. This meant that the queens player with the ball (usually russell or burns) had few options but to try and retain possesion (usually unsuccessfully) or resort to a weak cross that was mopped up by the bigger defenders. This has happened in nearly every game ive seen this season.

I would say this was crazy but its perfectly in keeping with Mcintyres behaviour.

Im still a bit puzzled/pissed off about how we lined up at the start. Ok we had injuries but even the players who started could have been deployed better in his formation. We started with- -------mckenna---mcshane--- Burns------carmichael---lyle ------------russell----------- Considering russell has played on the wing all season and carmichael has rarely if ever started where he did I dont know why he didn't go... ----mckenna----mcshane-- Carmichael----burns---russell --------------lyle------------- It might not have done any better but it least it would have made sense with the 11 he chose to start with (and finish with as it turned out!)

For me I was expecting it to be a bit crap. I was basing this on moffat continually leaving (or ignoring) loose ends throughout the last couple of series. Plots have been started and then stopped with lots of unanswered questions and a lot of the things he has done just make no sense within the storylines themselves. So I was really pleased that this episode had a genuine beginning, middle and end that made sense. There was good interaction between the doctors, good nods to the previous 50 years and a storyline that worked in context. Moffat also did a good job at poking fun at himself with little asides about things (gimmicks) that fans get annoyed about (timey wimey, overuse of the sonic, childish doctors, kissing etc). If I was being picky then the tom baker appearance didnt really work for me although it was nice to see him.
