  1. It is of course very disappointing to lose him. But we’ve plenty of attacking players, it’ll maybe act as a kick up the arse to some of the others to push on now and not be so reliant on him. I’m more concerned about Davidson & Hendry re-signing tbh. Would be happy to see Wright given another year although I’m Still not convinced he’s hit the same heights post injury.
  2. Not having that. I honestly think it is a decent squad, lacking confidence
  3. The squad is decent. No doubts about that. It took far too long to reach that point but the last 3 signings IMO have given us what we need. Without any justification/facts have traditionally enjoyed runs of wins and losses in recent seasons. Knowing our first 6 was probably going to result in a poor start always felt like it would make the season a difficult one.
  4. That’s the way it’s going. Anyone who says it’s just negativity is blindly ignorant to it. This is a team with no confidence shoe horned to be relegated. 11th would be acceptable for me right now.
  5. Horribly predictable. Said as soon as the fixtures were released that we would be bottom after 6. The concern which again was easily forecasted was that confidence after 6 would be shot and as such it would be a big big struggle after that. Hard to see this team changing it. On paper it’s a decent side and certainly one which should be staying up, but when confidence is low and the chips are down I can’t see them bouncing back.
  6. Zero confidence running throughout the team. Hard to see us turning this around today and anytime soon.
  7. It’s utterly embarrassing for the club all round. Don’t think I’d go as far as to say it’s made me disinterested in the club as others have suggested hearing but then not one of those who go week in week out given my location. It does however make it difficult not to be critical and negative of the situation. I just don’t get how we can’t do business on pre contracts well in advance of late August. Even if we do now manage to get 2/3 in, you feel something has to change In the way the club deals with transfers because this isn’t the first time we’ve made a meal of a transfer window.
  8. Who realistically is going to take Swanson on the wages he’s on though? Is he going to go and take a big hit? Can’t see it myself
  9. With a two week break until our next game and the second half performance maybe things are beginning to look up. That first half performance was utterly abject. Gordon in next game for the Estonian who was awful. He has zero composure on the ball. Gives us time to get 2 in and hopefully the team can take some confidence from this moving forward.
  10. If we can get Kennedy signed up on a longer deal, Drey Wright back fit and firing like he was early last season and a striker in in the next week or two then I think the mood can easily lift. Fine margins.
  11. Let’s hope the Zander extension is the start of some positivity amongst the club. It’s certainly due. Fancy a good win tomorrow, 3-0. Fortunes are turning
  12. There’s no doubts someone will come in up front before September 1st. Whether they will be up to the standard we need is another issue altogether. The main issue remains however that the timing of all this with the league season now underway is completely unacceptable for a top flight club. It still might not come back to bite us on the arse, but if it does we’ve no one to blame but ourselves. I still fancy us on paper to get a positive result on Saturday but given the levels of negativity surrounding the club and team we could very easily be turned over. Not good times
  13. Not saying we are absolutely shite and will be relegated. But do genuinely think we will be involved with 3/4 other teams at the bottom. We have left our business far too late for me and with a tough start it could easily worsen before it gets better. I just don’t think the squad should be immune from criticism which some clearly believe they should be.
  14. It’s hilarious that there’s genuinely fans who don’t think we are in a bad position and should be panicking
  15. We no doubt will. Will they be first choice at this late stage? Absolutely not. And has our record of strikers in recent years been good enough? Absolutely not. There’s definitely cause for worry in my opinion.
  16. In fairness RG, the ‘weakened’ side should still be beating opposition two divisions below. This is young players people have said deserve a chance to stake a claim, particularly the two in CM today. If they aren’t good enough today then how can we expect them displace Craig or Davidson if an injury occurs. Same applies to Duffy and Parish. They’re either good enough or they’re not. Tommy has done a wonderful job at Saints. Absolutely no doubting that. And he will go down as one of, if not our best. But he shouldn’t (and the team) be immune to criticism when it is clearly merited. My point remains that I’m not sure if it’s purely him or whether he hasn’t had the backing on signings. Regardless we need new impetuous in the squad, sooner rather than later.
  17. Whilst by no means do I think he should go. I do think he is at least partly to blame for the lack of activity in this summers transfer market. Zero pre contract agreements made that were made public last season. We tried for Gallagher and failed. Tried for May and failed. Tried for polworth and failed. And now this start to the season. Is it brown to blame?
  18. Not read anything above. But regardless of the lack of signings, the two defeats are completely unacceptable. One is forgivable but two strikes me as extremely worrying. Something has to happen in the next week to two or its seaside leagues for us.
  19. Are any of the three signings imminent or going to happen?
  20. Agree with the first segment thought I’m not sure I’d be so scathing to say he’s not even close for this level. He’s had some good games for us...has he not? I’ve only seen the two young boys play once (although I did watch Mclean at Linfield on sky last season) so don’t know what use they will be as back up to (huge fan btw) unfortunately an injury prone Murray and the ageing Liam. Would be delighted if they were up to the standard though.
  21. FWIW I’d probably keep him as back up to Davidson/Craig but that presumably doesn’t fit with the narrative that Mclean/McCann will be here involved all season. I’d have probably done the same with Alston as well in fairness though I appreciate Wright has had to clearly trim the squad and cut the playing budget this season.
  22. I’d quite like an end to our transfer business soon, one way or another. It’s all become very tedious second guessing what’s actually happening. Assuming Callaghan and McMillan will be shipped out which will hopefully allow us 2/3 to come In. Regardless who they turn out to be, we clearly need cover on certain areas so hopefully we are out our of our misery soon.
  23. May to Dundee. Cummings to Kilmarnock. We get the big Estonian centre half & he gets injured on debut.
