Part time will suit him more since his mates at cowden are part time and seem to enjoy spending time in nandos or shopping! Good luck to the lad though i suppose.!

With the first friendlies 2 1/2 weeks away id say we have about 2 weeks to complete the majority of signings, the majority of which will be the better players that always hang about untill training actually begins to see whats on offer. The next 2/3 signings will be striker grant anderson and a left sided player. 2 season long loans will probably appear after that. As for the 3 youngsters just signed, this is good business, according to my stirling albion supporting mate they had high hopes for kieran campbell, played scotland level from schoolboy age, recently played in a 5-1 win scoring a belter and setting up two in a 3-5-2 formation as a left wing back. The youth sfa have high hopes for this lad so fingers crossed! Cant find any details on the other two but if 1 is a striker and 18 this should fit nicely into pushing himself and vaughan into the first team.

Not an easy start to a season, but no games will be easy! but a serious plus note is the home advantage. After these 5 games we should know a lot more of our squad, hopefull two full capacity games with hearts and rangers.

Never realised the manager is on his holidays so id imagine thats why its been rather quiet. Hopefully a busy week ahead for murray when he returns warly next week as i feel we are still short on left back wingers and strikers! And not just guys to make up the numbers but serious footballers who have decent ability.!

Agreed on whats getting said regards spence. He spent more time worrying about kittys lorenzos nandos crazy golf and hollidays than he did worrying about his poor performances. Like many i think the offer shouldve been given to someone else early doors, would happily have seen smith offered his wage especially as cover! The likes of hemmings, archie campbell rowan vine, mich megginson, andy barrowman christ even andy kirk!

Is the home kit not the same strip but with a new sponsor? No design change etc! And added blue shorts instead of white! Could've sworn last season we were told it was a 2 year deal for that design,

We can only hope next season budget is better than this seasons, or we are truely fucked before we start! Our cup runs should be good enough to get some decent quality in, as well as playing at Ibrox tynecastle etc! The budget in my view should be boosted with potential gates with rangers and hearts 2 times instead of morton and accies ! Like many I've been so hacked off with paying £17 every week and watching shite and the manager do f**k all or even admit when he's wrong or even flitch at a defeat.... Wish he would show some passion and agrees ion on touch line, surely as a football man he cannot be happy with 3 wins since Xmas!!

Surely the space in the railway stand could be filled by putting in some sort of hospitality boxes? Or the space next to the main stand. And away end of railway stand is useable and as a terracing as well. The away end is prob no older than 20 years..This in my opinion should be looked at for the lesser clubs of the league with poor away support!

I fear if we don't bring in two signings in this window we may rue it! Too many walking the suspension tight rope I'd imagine plus more injuries will come as well. All teams arround us have strengthened with loans and free agents, Christ even Cowdenbeath! These teams are now showing how badly they want to get play offs whilst we seem happy with two cup runs and mid table finish without play offs. But saying this what would you be happier with? Beating hibs and a wee run in scottish, a cup final win in ramsdens... Or defeat by hibs a final and playoffs.... ! Tough choice but I'm sure Murray and co have discussed this. I don't think we are safe from relegation play offs either, a defeat to Cowdenbeath at weekend and only separated by 6 points!

I'd imagine we are giving Craig Sutherland training and some closed door games or reserve games just in case no other players come available, then on last day will prob offer the lad something. Murray obviously in no rush or keeping options open.

Yeh the new SPFL rules state you can only loan 1 player from the same club, unless a emergency 30 day loan. But butcher is on the rampage with getting boys out so he can bring players in. Youth, and fringe players taking the brunt, Ross Caldwell is next on hit list Aparantly.

Heard tonight mcgurns had a massive setback in starting rehabilitation on injury, was told he looking at March before training now he is getting told end April unless things heel quicker. If this is true it's very bad news. Also Paul Watson still got 3/4 weeks! Anderson wasn't fit today either after only half a days training in two weeks. Our next three games at Morton queens Alloa Cowdenbeath have never been more important to win. Definatly need signings over the next 9 days.

We have not had a pleasant pre season for years, we have always used pre season to push our players against very good opposition. Last night grant murray was shown we still have some weaknesses, they can now be fixed. While we may have lost 5 goals, we still attempted to keep the ball on the ground and passed the ball well, fox moon and cardle seemed more settled in midfield. Apartnfrom the usual Dundee and Morton, no one else has really brought in players of the quality we have, players who are very good first division players at minimum. I have no doubt that when it comes down to it we will do come good..

Turnbull felt it was right not to name any potential signings that have been offered lately, but dowie cardle imrie were on the radar start of pre season (they were the ones who have now went looking elsewhere) with moon fox smith Elliott plus another 3 un named players all on Murrays list early doors. Cardle insisted there was no other interest other than raith from Scotland! And that England would be a fresh start and new challenge, and much appreciated the club offering game time at end of the season.. (Half the wage he was on at pars for a month also) So we may end up with cardle come mid pre season if it falls through down south.. McCracken and naysmith and weatherston ( not sure if its the younger one ex falkirk) were the names doing the rounds today down at Starks..
