  1. Major difference between the Pars, Hearts, Dundee compared to Sevco is how their fans went about solving the pressing issues at hand. If Rangers fans (and the Rangers 'family') had rallied around trying to save (and buy the club) they would most likely would have succeeded due to the shear numbers they have in support. Obviously the "big tax case" played a part in this. Instead they decided it would be more productive to lash out at other sets of fans, pursue deadend legal action, go to war with the SFA and try to burn down Starks Park. They distracted themselves, allowing a whole new crop of dodgy business types to come in. They handled themselves with no dignity, no class just threats, bullying and boycotts which still continue. I think we have been VERY lucky to get this outcome today and am delighted about it.
  2. Is Masterton actually showing up the day or is one of his demon childs doing the dirty work for him?
  3. Last day of this early bird offer on the season ticket renewal, am I the only one not brave enough to renew? Was hoping for something a bit more concrete by now (e.g. Pars United being named preferred bidder) but they seem to be dragging this out long as possible.
  4. See if you still feel that way in 5 or 6 months when its all going tits up and Dodds uses his (license fee funded) radio platform to make statements about how wonderful McIntyre is and what great ideas he has. Remember coming home from a shockingly bad performance at EEP one night listening to Dodds on the radio go on and on about how the fans don't 'understand' and all this other pish, only for him to drop the line "he's my lift home tonight". Utter tosser.
  5. McIntyre is pish, he doesn't have a clue. Disappointed with Queens for giving this cretin a route back. I expect his number 1 cheer leader Billy Dodds will be involved in the backroom staff.

  7. BBC's Douglas Fraser "Brian Kennedy, of tried-to-buy-#Rangers fame, expected in Fife today with Jim Leishman, of Dunfermline FC fame. Hmm"
  8. Handsome Family - Moving Furniture Around
  9. Just watched "We Jam Econo: The Minutemen Story". Great watch but then again I love the band and already knew the story and characters. Not just one for the music fans. The whole thing is on youtube.
  10. Whether the 2 'free' services are built into the finance package or not isn't really relevant to my situation though. I fully intended to get the car serviced somewhere and having had experience with both private garages and dealership garages in the past I wouldn't call either option a cheaper alternative. So at the second service there might be more work needing done, surely all garages would highlight this. Its early days, only had the motor a week but no complaints so far.
  11. Just bought a 'delivery mileage' 62 Corsa from them last week. Cant say I have any complaints about the setting up the finance or the cost or the motor itself, It was a pretty damn good deal. Included was two free services, should I be worried about the standard of these services when they come? I cant see the shop floor mechanic being too fussed how these are paid for.
  12. Seriously? He's some sort of relative to Davie Hay as well, could be another obvious disaster in the wings.
  13. Whats the deal with this other bid? Who are they etc.
  14. Anyone hear bought/renewed their season ticket? If so is buying it with a credit card the way too go in terms of protection if things go tits up. Been holding off but this June early bird deadline coming up soon.
  15. Surely the potential money of a cup run far outweighs $7k to Hamilton, surely? Is the bigger concern not coming up with the £150k 'deposit' to play in the SFL next season.
  16. Do the players Union not pay for this kind of stuff too. I was under th impression jakeys like Gazza get as much rehab as they want...
  17. This actually based on sound evidence? It was brilliant watching fellow Pars fans make a tit out of themselves yesterday praising Barrowman yesterday after a similar story emerged...
  18. I was wondering about this as well about Morris, you would have thought he was one of the higher earners? Maybe he was one of JJ choices? Have a similar feeling about Husband as well.
  19. I couldnt actually give a shit if we're relegated or not. The SFL can dock points and it would probably leave a truer points tally on how we've been playing these past months. Surely we're gonna get something extra from the SFA for not handing over gate reciepts to Hamilton as well. And its not one man, its various people associated to one man (including some fans)...
  20. Still I would rather be in the position of the players than proper staff. These guys will amerge at some point with new clubs, real jobs in this climate is a another story...
  21. Yeah but who say this money is coming directly from the club, i'm sure ParsAlive will be taken the credit considering they raised the vast majority of the hardship fund. (No good deed goes unpunished?)
  22. f**k the Revenue, if we're chosing which debts to pay I would rather it be staff and local ones. I went through a similar thing a year ago and eventaully got (some) of my wages via the National Insurance Fund 6 months after being made redundent. The money collected in these buckets were alway earmarked for staff wages and not to service the general debt.
  23. Its just what I was told (hence the "supposedly"), it would be interesting to see real figures... I would imagine some players will find it easier to get a similar gig elsewhere and wouldnt be too bothered with a fresh start if the oppurtunity came about. Eternal dudds like Andy Dowie might have a bit of a worry though...
