  1. If this figure is true I reckon it'll be a base amount plus appearance/goal bonuses that'll take it to 2k surely
  2. I may have picked Houston up wrongly on this but he said Shepps had trained better over the week and got in ahead of Austin, no mention of an injury
  3. I'd be amazed if Queens were paying that but fair play if they are, he's a class player at this level
  4. Decided to go along tonight (I don't normally like these kinds of things) and tbh there was some interesting soundbites but nothing ground-breaking...unsurprisingly First half was Doug Henderson and a woman who I apologise but can't remember her name (had something to do with the academy or something). Couple questions asked regarding debt/player sales/4th stand etc. Apparently made circa £1m profit last year but was used to pay off soft loans and to establish a reserve fund...the playing budget was increased this year but never said by how much 4th stand is being looked at to determine it's financial viability which is fair enough but what got me was talk of who was going to pay for it; presumably this means the club are looking for someone like the council to come on board? We were told to be patient with the academy and Gallagher for example will get a little more game time, Saturday for example, but Houston sounded rather reluctant to bring any straight into the team which I guess is fair enough if he thinks they're not ready or good enough Scouting was talked about and I had a good laugh at the guy who asked if we scouted the junior leagues on a regular basis..Has anyone emerged from the juniors since the 80s? Oh and apparently queens are paying Dobbie £2k a week...Don't shoot the messenger Apologies for the long winded approach, sure I've wasted a good couple minutes of your time
  5. As much as I want to see us bring in another player I'm not sure I have faith in the right person being brought in. If a wage was available when Vaulks was sold why wasn't a pacy winger brought in rather than Rankin when we have Kerr/Taiwo/Sibbs/Craigen who can all play in central midfield :/ although I will admit I think Rankin has done reasonably well since he came in
  6. Really sad to see Vaulks go like the rest of us and the Rankin signing looks lazy but I do wonder if we're likely to see a rotation of him and Kerr throughout the season. Houstie seems to like an older head in the middle of the park and with Kerr another year older he's unlikely to be able to play the majority of games and be effective so Rankin presumably carries out the same role? I also agree another signing would be nice to see. In an ideal world they would be a quick wide player that can operate on both wings to compete with Hippolyte, but I just can't see that happening sadly
  7. I would suggest we look okay up front (providing Austin and O'hara are able to chip in with a few goals) but our defence needs some serious reinforcements. Can also see Taiwo and Vaulks being our preferred midfielders. Also sad to see Blair go, fantastic player and for me will always be remembered for the wonder goal against Hamilton in the Cup a couple seasons back. Wish him all the best in the future
  8. Hi everyone! I'm carrying out research for my UG dissertation and I am hoping some of you would be willing to fill my questionnaire? I'm looking at the use of social media in Scottish football, with a particular look at Falkirk, to determine whether social media plays a role in improving fan engagement with the club and how this can be carried forward. It'd be great to get your input through the questionnaire!! Should only take a couple minutes to fill in here's the link; https://esurv.org/?u=Dissertation_questionnaire Thanks!
  9. Got my tickets at lunchtime and by the looks of things we're up to B3 in the west stand
  10. Made for better entertainment than what we have on offer the now
  11. Was watching the highlights of the Australian league this afternoon on Sky and seen a familiar face in Danny Mcbreen scores a decent second for the Central Coast Mariners.
  12. With regards to the Player of the Month I voted for michael mcgovern purely for staying with us and to show my appreciation for that...plus the fact he's the only player I would give solid pass marks for in the games i've seen
  13. This, well sums up both our club and the shambles of Scottish football. I've already given up on away games and instead going down to watch Newcastle a couple of times a season, the only thing stopping me giving up on the home games is because I was mad enough to buy a season ticket. As for the "Sevco" incident, I had a giggle to myself and never thought any more about it, after all that is there business name I believe? The only way is down for Scottish Football with the ugly sisters are still domintating the game which won't change in the near future
  14. Thank you :L sorry bout the extremely late reply it took a while to work out how to use this haha

  15. Pedro has signed until the end of the season.
