Not enough into baseball to know what exactly is going on but the entire thing seems mental, from what I can tell either he’s been gambling which is beyond idiotic or he’s covered for his mates gambling which is just standard idiotic. All the money in the world and either too stupid or arrogant to get some legal advice. If he’s been gambling on baseball, he’s done.
If he’s been covering for his mate, or if it’s just illegal gambling, he will probably get off with a much lesser suspension.
Either way, the man has become so blinded by money that he’s lost all sense of self awareness.
Less to do with baseball than the complete prohibition of American sports players betting, despite the ubiquity of Draftkings and the ill.
To be honest, I think football players betting on their own team get treated extremely leniently in this country.

15-11 final score. Jeezo.
Looks like the pitchers weren’t quite up to speed.
In other news - Shohai Ohtani could be in a serious amount of bother.

Musgrove isn't looking particularly clever either. He's chucking it.
Nobody seems to be pitching well!

Turning Point is a really well made multipart documentary about the nuclear arms race. Highly recommend if you’re into serious international relations.

Let’s say neither Hanley nor Hickey makes it. Cooper and Ralston instead? Being even more negative, Jack if McGregor can’t go?

Last night I watched the Morecambe and Wise sketch with Andre Previn for the first time.
I've seen the little clip of the punchline loads of times before, but seeing the whole thing was just brilliant. Eric missing his cue has me creasing myself.
That never fails to make me laugh almost to the point of tears. Previn could have been an actor - his timing is magnificent. But the thing that really makes it is the orchestra, who don’t know what’s coming. You can see several of these very proper musicians wiping away tears of laughter. A beautiful piece of television.

McTominay is absolutely knackered here
Looks like he got cramp midway through that assist.

Antony is an absolute charlatan. I know he scored, but he looks like he couldn’t care less.
Oh my.

Don't think VAR can give a yellow.
It’s a borderline red.

That’s another shocker.

How on Earth is that not a yellow at the very least? What’s VAR playing at here?

Good luck to County. I think I speak for the entire nation when I say MAY GOD GO WITH YOU.
Uncle Roy will see to that with a sizeable donation to the Presbyterian church.

If it weren’t for our hard luck with refereeing at the end of our respective games against France Scotland and Italy would be 2nd and 3rd
It’s been one of the most balanced and interesting tournaments in years
except for viewers in Wales
Fair point.

It's a problem that feels like it's getting worse and worse since VAR, but people seem to forget there is times that there is contact between defender and attacker that isn't a dive or a penalty. It's a contact sport after all. Feels like any incident in the box now has to be black or white.
Here’s the thing, though. Does VAR overturn that if it’s given? I’m not convinced it does.

Yeah, I have to admit that I'd have wanted that ruled out at the other end, and for the exact same reason.

I make that two very dubious yellows for Shankland in the past month - if there is no statement for the Hearts board by end of play today about biased refereeing, it will be a bloody disgrace and cause for sending season tickets back.
It’s a bit of a cliche, but if he’s not interfering with Wickens’ view, why’s he there? I don’t think there’s much argument at all. Interfering with play is such a meaningless phrase sometimes.
I think it is a “simulation” by way of exaggeration, but he immediately regrets it. He doesn’t appeal for a penalty and I wonder what he’d have done had it been given.

Prior to today, I thought Shankland was a stick on to play a part in Germany. However he seems out of shape, over confident and please excuse me, but a bit thick. Dunno what he was thinking for the free kick, schoolboy stuff that.
The Hearts away kit isn’t the most flattering, but he’s not in great shape. It’s quite clear why Clarke has his doubts over him.

Is it just me or is Wickens one of those keepers who seems to everything awkwardly? Not saying he's bad, but everything he does doesn't seem to be orthodox at all.
There’s a lot of pushing the ball straight back out. It looks to me like he’s just very raw.

Means Scotland finish fourth. With arguably the second strongest team in the tournament.

This game is tremendous. I’m all in favour of this no defence rugby.

The C4 documentary about The Serpent is so disappointingly silly. Just a bunch of fantasists ganging up on a very obviously guilty man.
