  1. Made it to Dumfries a couple weeks back am lucky in that i am retired so dont have work the following day. Go to all games home and away & used to enjoy trips to Stranraer as could tie in a trip to see my pal in Carrickfergus, would drive down and catch the ferry on Weds, leave the car in Cairnryan get picked up in Larne play golf Thurs/Fri then get the ferry back Sat go to game then back up the road. Bit surprized just now how many Pars fans saying they will give a possible title winning game at Peterhead tomorrow night as its too far etc, etc if we were in that position nothing would stop me attending.
  2. I stay in Ellon which is around 16 miles from Peterhead a number of hotels doing decent meals & a number of different types of takeaway 30mins to Balmoor, sometimes if a big crowd need to find street parking. There is a bar at the ground which will be open.
  3. When our attendance was announced as 500 could not help but comment as was near where there directors sit that it was just as well the game was not being played at Meadowbank as with their 499 seats somebody would have had to stand, did not get a response
  4. Aye squad was totally gutted at the end of the season, Si Ferry left as well. Could be interesting to see if Cove go down will they still consider going hybrid/full time if not we could well be competing with them for players as most of our January signings will not be offered contracts
  5. It is a big ask of a volunteer that takes some time, we still have the remote camera thing that was installed for streaming during covid while not ideal it was better than nothing. Thanks for the reply.
  6. No surprize that Scott has fitted in well at Raith as mentioned think he would have had a number of full time offers over the years but obviously it now suits him better. We have not been able to replace him & lack an attacking midfielder now, McCarthy is more in the Ferry mould and have missed Ritchie going forward as well.
  7. Well finally made it to Palmerston after my previous attempt getting stuck in Edinburgh for our last visit. Despite the result quite enjoyed being there, decent view of the park which did not seem so bad as expected, not sure if i was unlucky but the mince pie was poor with not much mince to it. Have not seen video but from where we were the penalty incident looked outside the box but have previous experience of Mr Luke knew we would not get the benefit of the doubt. We have seen a big improvement in the last couple weeks with Ryan & Jordan in charge with players wanting to play for the club & thought they deserved a draw from yesterday but such is things a the foot of the table.
  8. Will travel more in hope than expectation, at least with Ryan & Jordan looking after the team the team looked more interested last week. Had a lot of changes to the side last week with a good few players coming in that had not been getting game time so they tired later on but at least we saw some improvement. Whether its enough for us to take anything from the game remains to be seen. A wee bit of luck may help
  9. Thats my £10 ticket now bought & printed, hopefully i get the chance to use it this time. There was conflicting ideas about my choice of route the last time, did not know at the i could not get over to the by-pass as southbound motorway was closed which meant everything came to a standstill. Think the team bus was held up going the other way by Glasgow so you never know. Stayed in a hotel in the town years back for a weeks golf but cant remember its name, had a look round outside the ground but no home games on at that time so will be breaking new ground on Saturday.
  10. Was having a look on your site for a ticket for Saturday, as far as i can see an old codger like myself can get a ticket for£6 is that correct, seems good value even for what we have had to suffer this year. I did have a ticket for our previous game at Palmerston but was the victim that got stuck for 2hrs between the bridge & Edinburgh so had to turn round and went to Kelty/Clyde game on my way back up the road. One of the very few grounds i have not been to so even given our poor form am looking forward to our visit. Is it ticket only or do you have cash gate as well?
  11. Allan got some time in the game down at Alloa but looked a bit out of his depth but the whole team did that day, interestingly Jack McIver got a start that day but did not set the heather on fire, thought he did much better on Saturday & provided a wee bit of width
  12. With the changes in our line up (badly needed) a few of the guys stating did not have a lot of game time under their belts, hence tired
  13. Decent highlights package first goal was better than i thought at the time. We were better in the first half than we have been but losing the 2nd to a pen just summed up how our season has went
  14. Jack has to get a place apart from McCarthy nobody else in the midfield. Even some of his own signings were not getting a start Walliimbi ,Melingui, & Gabriel they may be no better than some of the other signings but have not had much of a chance.
  15. Must admit have always stood with Rodger as first & foremost he is a true supporter of the club & does what he thinks is best for the club. As someone that follows the team home and away have to say performances did not improve under Davie & last week was really embarrassing. Will see if there is any reaction today there are players that we know really want to play for the club, some will hopefully try and regain some pride but some are just not up to standard.
  16. Think the problem was more his signings mainly have been duds rumour was a number of them are on £600 a week so not cheap at this level
  17. He certainly did not have me fooled on Saturdays showing Joshua had a bit but has lost it. Davie must have taken your comments onboard at the game.
  18. Agree Shanks has worked tirelessly since joining but is a striker, we have had some very strange selections under the new manager, made a comment elsewhere asking if our No2 was doing the filming as he just stood and watched at times, he did look half decent when he joined but seems to have lost interest. Out of the Jan signings he would possibly be the only one i might have kept for league 2 next season provided he pulled his finger out.
  19. You only beat what is put in front of you but during your passing it did not appear once did one of our players even attempt a tackle. Our No25 is allegedly a defensive midfielder but is the worst player i have seen in one of our shirts, he is a big lad but runs around like a primary school player and mainly only gets a touch of the ball if it happens to hit him
  20. At least we wont have that prolific scorer for Airdrie Si Ferry playing against us this time.
  21. Suppose we would be due to win one sometime, we never have in the past
  22. Would not admit it to the players but even if we ended up in the play-off difficult to get through them after hardly winning a game. Last season we pulled clear being unbeaten in about the last 6 games but one way or the other the play=off is the best we can manage.
  23. If that comes to pass would not be too concerned although League 1 could be more competitive next season providing yourselves & Falkirk get out this season. The last few seasons this league has had around half the teams being full time & the rest part time which has made competing hard. In League 2 would be a more chance of having a decent season. Not sure how many big spenders will come through from the Lowland League but dont mind that too much apart from them taking the Colts £s
