  1. Will this have a major effect on parking at the ground, usually grudgingly pay the £4 behind the north stand as not keen on walking too far.
  2. Sounds good to me we have not managed an away win so far this season, as you say not bothered about how we get them but 3 points would be very welcome
  3. If McAllister & Goodwillie were on the park yesterday they would have both scored 3 or 4 from the chances available.
  4. Plenty parking at the ground for nothing. Previous game we were able to enjoy the lounge before the game which is a fine set up with football showing and fans mixing no bother. Hopefully the pie hut has stock left at half time but as you would expect a decent ground.
  5. I could be wrong but thought that was where it went, think at Peterhead we had the tunnel cover from Brooks Mileson
  6. Did it originally come from Gretna when they packed in? Like ourselves shelter depends on direction of the wind.
  7. Shanks has given his all every game so far and must find playing in such a poor team frustrating. No idea why Jason Brown did not start as agree the No25 seemed completely out of his depth, No23 had a howler for the goal but looked ok earlier in the season at full back, Ryan was never the quickest but needs to be facing the play as when turned as happened yesterday he was left trailing in the wake of Sammon of all folk .Know its ongoing but the covered away stand the roof will only keep the sun off folks heads yesterday the rain was reaching the back row of seats.
  8. Seem to remember our defender passing the ball to your striker in about the first minute to go one down then the game got even worse for us, we cannot afford to do that again. We have been showing signs of improvement but still finding ways to lose games. Have not had an away win this season could today be the day?
  9. Happy enough with the 1st half but again stood off Queens far too much after the break and allowed them to strut their stuff, goals 2 & 3 were comical. Our subs were too late & a bit strange.
  10. Good idea, been once and even although i never tend to miss a game stayed away from our second visit. Not fit for purpose. Notice they are expecting around 800 folk to the gymnastics in the hall, also Hibs Aberdeen at Easter Road along the road it could be carnage
  11. Yes a big morale boost getting off the bottom of the table. Jack Wilkie started a bit slowly but has been improving all the time winning more of his tackles and quite happy to push up the park as well., Ewan Murray picked up a knock early on and never really had much chance to establish himself. With the change of manager we had a huge squad for us so he had to thin it out to allow some players of his own in.
  12. Yes you are correct the North East tends to be drier as we have the Cairngorm Mountains between us and the West Coast so rain etc tends to be less on the East Coast. Unfortunately the Gulf Stream which makes the Moray Firth much milder does not quite reach Peterhead.
  13. As you will hopefully see next week we have one of the best grass surfaces in the country. Like the team we have one part-time groundsman looking after it he is a greenkeeper at a local golf course & knows his stuff. Think there is a bit more outlay pre-season to get it in good order and we have not had many postponements over the years. Have to say the pitch is not used for other games very often & with us being part time not used for training on. Apart from the wind we sometimes get think most players enjoy our park.
  14. We have proven to be the two worst teams in the league & it showed & probably the league positions as they are now is the best we can hope from the season. Clyde started the season on a flier and have got worse, We started the season with hardly enough players to field a team and got into to the habit of finding ways to lose nearly every week. Clyde supporters do not seem to believe there is an improvement in them. We (Peterhead) are still waiting for a few players coming in and if in the right positions can see us having a better second half to the season but who knows. The Clyde support yesterday could not have done more to encourage their team for the whole 90 minutes so well done to them.
  15. Getting a bit concerned, in his post match interview our manager thought we did not too bad and our new loan did well, sorry have to disagree with both thoughts.
  16. There is no arguing with that, Dunfermline players will be harder worked in training sessions. Enjoyed my bridie then all downhill after that.
  17. Its horrible up here as well, heavy rain just now but was frosty when i went to bed last night. Lots of pics on facebook around the area last night of the northern lights so will have to hope for the best, how is EEP for handling water?
  18. A remarkable feat for a player who had overcome three life threatening tackles.
  19. Have been over it many times still think it was a combination Fakenham playing up & the ref loosing control with the first red. Have never forgiven Buchanan for getting Jordan Brown sent off came across when not involved stood on Jordans then made a big thing of it when pushed away. Not sure if it was Greg or Chris Aitken that had the whistle but although discussed loads of times if he had given Jamie Redmond a yellow which would have been plenty the game may have settled down early on. As it was there were far worse fouls in the second half but the ref had to ignore or explain why the match would have been abandoned. Hopefully this weeks game will be remembered for a good game & worthy winner
  20. Fakenham was a despicable twat & was no loss when he went back down south, even given his antics that day think it took about an hour to score against our 8 men. Think he had a reputation at Arbroath before as a troublemaker. Our own supporters knew that two names to get me worked up were Josh Fakenham & Stephen Finnie. Wonder if Andy Rodgers will be joining us tomorrow
  21. Bought my ticket the other day, will have £1 for the meter in my pooch just in case
  22. Of course it could our defenders foot was in a handy place for the forward to fall over, especially given the refs showing earlier in the game
  23. I know it always seems to be the world & his dog is against you when at the bottom of the league but we have not had a break at all this season. From our side the forward pushed our defender which may have led to the ball catching his arm. We got away with that with the keeper saving it. Thought our luck had possibly changed as we got away with a bit of help from the woodwork & could have been well behind. Poor defending from us for your first with nobody on the post. Not sure about the 2nd pen as there was no reason to take him down & off course got posted missing for the 3rd although some reckon it was offside but i could not tell about that. At the end of the day we were well beat but most of us have seen an improvement in the last couple weeks & have to hope things go our way before long.
