  1. More posts to ponder from earlier today. Think Giffnock fit the bill on the club that might make it.
  2. If this is accurate, all the Shortlees posts are an unnecessary tangent.
  3. Will be interesting to see if the north region can still be in the SJFA as a tier six feeder to the HL. If not, that could drop to 30.
  4. People would probably have come up with a longer timeframe than that for Crossgates Primrose when they went into abeyance. A lot can change quickly once the right people are in control at a club and sooner or later there will be a backlash against the decisions that have been made by certain West Lothian clubs.
  5. It's not that long ago that Whitburn would have been mentioned in the same breath as Bo'ness, Lithgae, Kelty and Bonnyrigg for who would be most likely to succeed in the seniors and Bathgate, Fauldhouse and Armadale have had their moments over the years as well. More so arguably than Broxburn and definitely more so than Blackburn. Hopefully next year they start to see sense, but they messed up big time by missing out on the last year of tier 7 conferences.
  6. That looks like it could work from a controlled access standpoint judging from Google Maps. Puts them half way between Pollok and Benburb rather than in Giffnock though.
  7. Drumchapel Amateurs are another who have a ground readily sorted and might want to keep up with the Joneses?
  8. ^^^Does he really not understand that he has changed the meaning of my post completely by deliberately leaving out the caveat and pretending that was the start of the sentence?
  9. What peope have been telling us is that all 63 west region clubs were in and there were 3 non-juniors. Unless that changed at the very last minute the only explanation that fits to get to 68 is 2 east region junior clubs.
  10. Remember that being an unusually painful injection and that it took weeks for the scar to fully heal, so hopefully it was worth going through. Think the problem with this theory is that the UK and France are getting to be as bad as Italy and Spain despite mandatory injections being in place until relatively recently. Some people are arguing that it's because a weaker BCG strain was used in most of western Europe. East vs West Germany is being mentioned a lot on that given the DDR used a Soviet strain and that part of Germany appears to be doing better on virus case numbers.
  11. If people want to compare how bad things are in various countries deaths per million is the number to look for. The US is not in the leading pack on that because they only have a serious problem in a few of their larger cities so far where there is greater population density and people use public transport at western European sort of levels.
  12. They need to normalise the number of cases to be per capita population to provide a sensible comparison. If they did Belgium would be much more of a talking point at the moment.
  13. So there will probably be 129 nonleague senior clubs south of the Tay bridge boundary next season plus Luncarty in feeder leagues to the LL compared to 15 junior clubs.
  14. Some of their fans subsequently got involved with Edinburgh City at Meadowbank, so they have arguably managed to work their way back into the SPFL level in an impressive sort of way that showed others what could be done with the pyramid. Hopefully a few WoS clubs will follow them down the trail they blazed over the next decade.
  15. The only obvious outlier in that map is Nithsdale Wanderers not being in the WoS.
  16. Will be interesting to see if the 63 clubs from the west are allowed to vote on the changes.
  17. He definitely seems to be in the loop on SoS matters if you check his old posts.
  18. You are just being argumentative for the sake of it.
  19. That's my recollection of how the Alex Jack got its Scottish Cup place as well. The SJC could legitimately be viewed as the Alex Jack equivalent for the WoS as long as they can get everybody to enter. How they handle clubs that are not in the SJFA either because they never were or choose to leave is the issue that is lumbering over the horizon.
  20. It's an EoSFA competition. WoS teams will not be part of the EoSFA, so looks like deliberate scaremongering similar to the midweek games stuff or all the nonsense about the LL only cherrypicking a few clubs for the WoS. It's definitely feasible for WoS teams to enter a revamped no-replay SJC, if the SJFA agree the necessary changes. People should be arguing over whether it's sensible to do that rather than coming up with bogus reasons for why it's not possible.
  21. I wasn't aware that the LL-WoSFL had asked for anything whatsoever in terms of changes to the SJC rules. Surely you mean the WRSJFA have asked for those changes ? The SJC has nothing to do with the LL-WoSFL. It has been on Fitba North that the north region clubs are currently being asked their opinion on a request from the WoS-LL to ditch replays from the SJC so that their league games can take priority.
